I am never calling Check Maid Cleaning Services again. I would not recommend this service to a friend. They have cancelled my appointment both times I've tried to schedule cleanings. Not only that, but both appointments were cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled cleaning. I work weekdays, and Saturday appointments are hard to get, so now I can't find someone to come in less than 24 hour notice without having to pay over $250. I scheduled the cleanings over a week in advance both times. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for re-scheduling us the first time. But, now I have visitors coming to stay with us and I have to clean my own 3 bedroom place...I'M ALMOST 7 MONTHS PREGNANT. If you need reliable service, and you have limited time and availability - this is not the cleaning service for you. read more

I usually don't go with businesses that have less than 100+ reviews but a friend recommended it and I decided "hey why not?" My parent's house back in FL needed a cleaning after we came back from vacation and they were too lazy to do it so I needed to improvise. I was originally hesitant since I've only hired maids twice in my life and both times it was when I was moving out of an apartment - but Check Maid Cleaning Services did an awesome job! The ladies were diligent and efficient, we have a three bedroom and they were in and out with no complaints in just a few hours. They were nice and a pleasure to have in the house with no bother to our family's dogs or us. They cleaned/scrubbed/vacuumed/the whole nine miles. When finished, they asked if there was anything else to do (I mean who does that!?). Needless to say, I was both pleasantly surprised and satisfied - hence this yelp review. Second time I have used Check Maid Services and I will continue to use them! The house cleaner today did a wonderful job. I asked if she could pay extra attention to the bathroom and she did. The tiles have never looked so clean. They have good flexibility with their time slots, too. If you don't see an ideal time slot online, be sure to call them. Wow after reading all these 5 star reviews on them, I know they are definitely writing all these bullshit reviews themselves. I have NEVER been so disappointed before with a service enough to write a Yelp review. I scheduled an appointment online 2 days ahead of time. It was easy enough and I got the time that i wanted which was at 7 pm. The night before the cleaning, the lady who's supposed to clean calls me at 10 pm to ask if we could reschedule to 10 am instead because she said "it would work better for her". I thought this was very odd as she didn't give me a reason why, just that it'd be more convenient for her. I was in desperate need to get my home cleaned so I agreed. The next day, cleaning day, 9:45 am rolls around and I still don't get a call from her so I called her, no one answers. 5 minutes later, I get a call back from her saying "Hey, I meant to call you, but I'm not going to make it at 10 am... Things didn't work out the way I wanted them to so I can either come to your place to clean at 4pm or 7pm, the original time". Now that I had moved my schedule around for her the first time around, none of those times worked for me, so I told her that, and she replied with "Ok, I can come in an hour.. an hour and a half maybe". WHAT KIND OF PROFESSIONALISM IS THIS??? I made her promise to be here by 11 to 11:20am. This was the last time I was going to change my schedule around for HER priorities. At 11:17am, I still receive no phone call so I call the company... The company told me that she was there already, and she wasn't! She lied. 20 minutes later, she calls me and says "Hey I'm here." Sandy, her name, comes in with her helper, Pedro and they get started upstairs. They cleaned the bathroom pretty well, but left some trash on the counter and the sink wasn't touched. I then cleaned the sink myself as they moved to downstairs. I stayed upstairs to watch TV for a while, and then went downstairs to offer them water. What did I walk into downstairs? PEDRO WAS TAKING A NAP ON MY COUCH. I couldn't believe it!!!!! They cleaned my kitchen in a rush, oil stains still on the countertops... my carpet was wet and stained slightly with a red substance I wasn't familiar with... This was just the absolute worst service I've ever had to deal with. I am extremely unsatisfied with the ENTIRE PROCESS. I have never been so unhappy to take the time out of my day to write such a long and terrible review on anyone before. We hired them to send a maid out biweekly. A maid came out the first week and did an okay job. She missed some obvious things like the master bathroom's shower and cobwebs in the corners. Two weeks later no one showed up & they had to reschedule us. Two weeks after that no one came out again. When I called the woman always says she'll call me back and doesn't. I had to call back and she was rude. I switched to a different maid service who only charges a little more and does an amazing job. My girlfriend lives in Miami and had been using Checkmaid's services for 5 months with no issues.. However, after the service yesterday we noticed that many bags were rummaged through and $200 missing from a closed briefcase (the cleaning were regulars so this was surprising). She contacted the service and asked to speak to a manager. As a follow up, management at Check Maid had no interest in addressing the issue other than to acknowledge the end of future service. Makes you wonder if they knew they had an issue and did nothing about it before. If it happened to us, I am pretty certain it has happened others or will happen to others. This is probably the first cleaning service I have ever used and I would recommend it to all my family and friends. During my 3 month internship down in Miami, I rented an apartment and I need the entire place cleaned before I moved out ( Or they would have billed me for it). It was quite messy after 3 entire months. The two ladies that came were very friendly and nice. The apartment needed to be mopped, windows washed, and dew removed from the bathroom. We have been using them for several months. The service has been "spotty"...no pun intended. They are not currently operating in the Miami area right now. They sent 3 emails last week on the same day within hours from eachother- (1) Let us know our cleaner was not available to clean our home on the regularly scheduled date and it may be a week delayed (2) Give us a coupon for a free cleaning (3) Inform us that their business has closed their doors and is no longer operating in the Miami area.
