Well, I made the appt and within 2 hrs (From start of appt to brake pads changed) I was out the door and spent significantly less then I anticipated! I'm incredibly happy with their service and both the front desk employee and the mechanic were professional and never did I feel taken advantage of or any attempt by either to upsell. The man working at the front (I can't believe i didn't get his name!) said that he was retired but works 1-2 days per week at this location after working there from when they opened in the 90's. There was an older lady who came in due to car troubles and he treated her so kindly. She seemed overwhelmed and frazzled and he was so warm. I overheard that her husband was his customer for over 20 years and just passed away last month. I heard him speaking on the phone with customers and he was just kind. Anyways, I sent my friend the work order receipt and he was surprised at how affordable this was. He understands cars and was the one who was sure that it was worn out brake pads. While the owner, Dave, is still there, I don't think he really runs the place anymore and lets all these new people he hired run it. And it's so obvious that they're not doing a good job. It's like a different mechanic shop now, same name. They don't communicate amongst eachother and the new guy behind the counter has lousy bedside manner. When I brought it in recently, they broke the driver's seat and was hoping I wouldn't notice, I guess. I've also noticed lately that there's new scratch marks in certain areas inside my car and the bottom part of my leather steering wheel is frayed and peeling. How does that even happen on the bottom part? I've noticed other things too over the last few months or year or so since Dave let Irvy run the show. I also have to repeat myself over and over again. I told Irvy probably five times that the inside of my trunk is coming loose. And they keep forgetting about it and I got the deer in the headlights look from the guy behind the counter when I mentioned it again this morning! Anyway, I brought my car back in today so they could fix the seat they broke and another issue that they were waiting on parts for. Irvy told me to bring it in this morning and that someone would give me a ride home, no problem. I was supposed to be working in the office today and my manager let me work from home so I could get my vehicle taken care of since Bell Tire is no longer open on Saturdays. And I get there and am sitting there for over an hour while I'm supposed to be on the clock at work. And when I asked the guy at the front desk what's going on, all he could say was there was nobody there to give me a ride. So I just took the keys back and drove off. Maybe there's another mechanic shop that actually wants my business. Quick update (7/25/2026): I had just paid Bell Tire and Auto over $1,000 to fix an issue with not being able to fill up my gas tank. Well, I just went to get gas yesterday and the issue is back! On top of that they too me come back in a hour my tire rotation would be done and still haven't move my car. I never had a terrible experience like this at ant discount tires business. All they did break things and cost me money. I try to lie and say the cap came off while driving which is a lie I check with another discount. I went to an auto repair in the general area; they told me that discount does this lots. Stay away is all I can say.

While it took a long time (2 hours), they did a very thorough inspection, didn't try to sell me on anything, and everything they told me needed fixing, I already knew about - honest. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything they saw. I liked that. They didn't mind my questions. They were very personable - made time to accept my daughter's handmade drawings, giving her paper and high fives. The bathroom was clean and smelled nice! It matters to some of us. There was also a waiting area with a water machine. Other than the length of time it took for an inspection I didn't ask for, I have absolutely zero complaints. Thankfully I had the time to wait unexpectedly, but it would have been great if it was done under an hour, as expected. I will 100% be back to Greulich's at this location.
