Small fries, hot, crispy, but unfortunately too salty.
    Anna W.

Two for five bucks was a great deal. My partner said it was a good, honest American chili dog and hamburger. I stole one bite of each and it was a good way to take the edge off my hunger. The fries were crispy, hot and I really enjoyed the spice they use, but the salt should be better controlled. We were 'walkup kitchen' customers. The service was great.

The Big Buford (no pickle or tomato on mine)

Today I had Checkers for the first time since I was a kid living in Florida and it wasn't bad! This location has an order/pick up window which I always delight in using as I feel like a caged animal 6 months out of the year here in Buffalo. My order was placed right away and my food came out in about 60 seconds. I ordered the Big Buford which is 2 patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard, and Mayo. It did not disappoint. Patties were a decent size and everything tasted fresh... albeit it is fast food not a gourmet burger. I did not order any fries or anything but the Big Buford filled me up on its own!

I'm upset that this place has been here for 2 years and I had no idea! Why has no one told me about the awesomeness that is Checkers? Hmph! Let me start here with a simple math equasion. Checkers is greater then McDonalds, Burger King and Red Robin. Not only in flavor and quality but also in affordability. For clarification, one can easily observe from the value menu that you can obtain 6 burgers for $9. These arent the rip off burgers you get from the dollar menu at say McDonalds, no. These are more like home on the grill picnic burgers that hit the spot just right. I'm talking about the, hand you the bag of food from the drive thru window and you feel a weight in the bag kind of burgers and this place is open LATE! Now I've eaten here twice in the last few days and I've explored a bit on the menu and mostly I have to say the Value menu above the main menu is where it's at. They also offer spicy chicken which is a very herb like, feel a burn in the belly after eating kinda chicken but its also quite good. It's different for sure. At first I was hesitant but you should try it and see for yourself. Def has a bite to it. Some day I will have to try one of thier sides and featured burgers, but I love the quick, affordable value options this place offers and I hope that option on the menu doesnt change. ALTHOUGH if anyone from corporate reads this, the value menu is hard to read from ones car. Could use larger print and a light shining on that sucker! Worthy of mentioning they are also currently offering a FREE Buford Burger if you Text "BUFORD to 88001" and there are other text deals pictured as you drive thru, so check that out! Solid 5 stars from me Checkers, keep it real my friends Keep it Real !!!

People keep checking me out. I am so sick of it. Just because I do all this work to "keep this a 10" like Mayhem does when he's a hot girl out jogging. I call people that check me out "Checkers", and I wish I could afford to employ someone to keep them in "Check." Or even keep them in "Checkers" because then at least they could enjoy some yummy chain food while being kept in Check because of all their Checking-out of me. Anyway. What to order: Any of their chicken sandwiches, maybe a burger possibly, and def. a shake. What else: It's a chain, it's fast food, why are you even eating here anyway. So my back story with Checkers is similar to a back story told by a chiropractor. Only not. Speaking of chiropractors, if they're Egyptian, does that make them Cairopractors? Indeed, is an Egyptian farm vehicle a Cairotractor? Anyway. So when I was a teenager (literally), I was driving an old Pontiac Bonneville - and later a Ford Crown Victoria - around all sorts of southern states having orgasmic fun - sometimes literally - and when in Florida, I was always excited by the race-car-flags of Checkers. I ate a lot of fast food chain food back then, what can I say. I was an impressionable teenager or something. Checkers was always a wonderful little treat, and very exotic, as well as very cheap. You could get 2 burgers for a couple of dollars - one chicken, one beef, and also cheap drinks and shakes. Fast forward a decade (ish) and I was cruising through beautiful tropical exotic palm-tree-lined Cheektowaga (giggle) and what should I see, shining at me with red neon lights, like a beacon in the night... but a brothel. Oh no wait that was in the Nevada desert. So there I see, shining before me, a Checkers. I had to do a double take. Is this seriously a Checkers, I asked myself. In Buffalo? How did it get here from Florida? And why did it take so long? And are they even from Florida? I've seen them in Atlanta... but not this far north, ever. Starlight insisted that I do a U-turn and I always do what she says (and I always do what my gf says, as well, btw, even moreso), so I U-turned and went back and ordered some Checkers. To my delight, the menu hasn't changed drastically and neither have the prices. I got 2 pretty good sandwiches for $3 - one was a spicy fried chicken sandwich that I liked. One was a cheesy Cheddar Bacon Burger that I was very surprised to love, even more than the chicken, despite the fact that Checkers is usually best for Chicken. Great fast food sandwiches. In addition to this, I ordered a chocolate milkshake. They have baby size shakes for under $2, which is perfect for someone that does a lot of work in the gym as I mentioned in the first paragraph, so I got chocolate, and I loved every sip! Much better than a McDonalds shake, and probably better than a BK shake too, which are actually quite good. Maybe a little too sweet, but not as sweet as a BK shake. Also the girl in the drive thru loved Starlight, and got very squealy and girlie and gushy when she saw my little furry orange ball of love (I mean Starlight, silly). And I love it when girls get gushy, in all kinds of ways. So if you've never had a Checkers, come and Checkers it out. You might be surprised, because it is probably a better standard than the awful Wendy's and McDonald's that you're used to. It's nowhere near as good as NC's similar chain, Cook Out, not even close... but then very few places are. Nom nom nom. Check out the full adventures of Starlight at Checkers in the three pix I uploaded of her at this location. And enjoy this exotic, southern chain while we have it Buffalo!

I asked for a refund for the chicken sandwich didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for one to be made. I was told they're not allowed to give refunds they need to remake the sandwich I insisted on the refund. Which she did even though she's not supposed to the sandwich is $5.99 she gave me six dollars back and walked away for me as I asked wasn't there tax charged on that. Very poor service and way too much attitude from the manager she needs a lesson in customer service that wasn't it. Up in till now I've been very satisfied with any visits I've made to Wendy's. I will never visit this location again I may rethink visits to other ones.

It's around 12 cause I donated $1 for the cookies and upgraded fry so I handed her 15. She literally took five off the top threw it on top of the counter and then threw my ten back in the drawer and you only gave me $1.30 back. That dollar $.30 is again already the wrong change cause it should've been only fucking $8/9 something, So I literally got to the gas station corner realized it turned back around went inside and she said I only gave her 10 this and that and I told her I had three fives and you threw the one right on top of the counter and called her right out and then all of a sudden she turns to walk away from me and then turns around here's five here's five dollars in my own money, here you go like it ain't your money It's my money that you stole you. My wife had never tried Dave's before so we were running errands and decided to stop in. We ordered it for pick up because of the snow storm and the amount of snow in the parking lot was our sign to take it home. We walked in and this location is huge. It is a really nice location inside and I like how they have a tv screen that tracks your order for you so you know when it's ready. So cool. Our order was being packed up as I walked in so perfect timing. The food itself was great! I ended up going with one medium and one hot. There is definitely a jump up in spiciness between the two levels and they are very flavorful with the spice, not just a blind heat. These sliders are HUGE. They really fill you up and the fries are perfect. Love the seasoning and the crinkle cut. We will definitely be back for more and this is a great place when you're looking for that hot chicken fix.

The three stars is for the food. The chicken itself is outstanding, and the French fries are also really good. I found the service a bit lacking, thus only three stars. It was not crowded. I walked in and there was one group eating and one person waiting for food. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful. However, I placed my order, paid and was given my receipt and a "buzzer" and I waited. The thing that irked me is that I saw my order come from the kitchen, handed from a cook to an employee on the other side of the window, who kept talking and talking and talking to the cook while my food was sitting there. All she needed to do was put the order into the plastic bag, but for about five minutes talked to the cook and kept her back to the customer area, as did the other employees. I saw other employees walking around, there were more staff than customers, but I don't know what they were accomplishing. But my order still waited as they all talked. She eventually very, very slowly added the box with my food to the plastic bag and finally I received my order. Why did it take so long to put my order into a plastic bag and give it to me? The "sliders" are actually a full size sandwich, don't let the name fool you. It was delicious, if slightly cool from sitting at the counter. However, I don't like to patronize a business that has no real management on premises making sure that the staff is engaged. This never happens at Chick Fil-A. I will give them another chance because the food was so good.

Be careful pulling in, it's steep and you can bottom out easily!! This is one of 4 Western New York locations, and like the others, it delivers the same reliable experience every time. The Texas hots themselves are delicious - snappy Sahlen's dogs, soft rolls, and that signature meat sauce that hits all the right notes. Wish there was a little more meat in the sauce, but when you live out of state, you really can't complain because this is hometown comfort food you've spent your entire life eating. It's comfort food through and through, and you can tell they've been doing this a long time. The staff is friendly and chatty, the kind of place where you get quick service and a bit of banter without any pretense. Inside, it's a no-frills setup: hot dogs, burgers, and breakfast are the stars of the show, and that's exactly what you're here for. The dining area and bathroom were clean, which goes a long way for a spot that sees a lot of traffic, especially being this close to the stadium. Overall, this is the kind of place you can't really go wrong with. If you want classic Western New York Texas hots done right, served fast, and done the same way every time, this is a very consistent spot. Dad was happy too :)
