Please adjust the french fries serving system. Mine were no longer hot. They had been sitting on the counter for too long. Still tasty.

After my last visit I decided to take the survey. Why? Because I want Ted's to succeed and please every customer. I've always loved this place. Last time, they needed some improvement. First of all, we waited way too long for our food. I'm not a fast food logistics person, but please! The grill person was slower than most and wasn't putting enough meat on the grill to keep up. I wouldn't be surprised if someone got soggy fries or onion rings waiting for the hot dogs. The person who handles the fried food puts all the orders in too early. Anyway, like I said, I only want my fries to be hot and crispy. Second of all, the 'foot long' didn't look very good. Usually I can't wait to snap a photo or two of our food, but not this time. The hot dog didn't look appetizing. It was a sloppy arranged bun and dog with a skimpy amount of toppings. Overall, it looked messy. The final issue was the cleanliness of the dining room. Every table by the window was dirty. I sat at one of them anyway. I believe every Yelper knows why :). Of course I noticed the new design of the placemat and the fry containers, cute. But a frame is no substitute for a solid brand that relies on well-prepared and tasty food.

I came to Buffalo for the wings, but Ted's made me enjoy the trip just a tad bit more. Good all-American food, cooked before your eyes on an open flame, gives you the nostalgic feel of restaurants of yesteryears: Good food, good price, good customer service. Definitely enjoyed and would return.

It's decent. They have a good amount of options to choose from with loads of toppings. They have hot dogs, sausages, burgers, and chicken sandwiches but they're obviously known for their hot dogs. Tried the footlong and regular hot dog with chilli and cheese. Very nice. Fries were solid as well. Line gets long especially before a Bills game but it moves fast.

Sorry Ted's but no go on the new kiosk ordering system. A lot of chaos among the workers and took twice as long to get food. I also wanted a paper receipt which seemed impossible. None of the customers waiting were happy and some people left. Food not cooked as requested and onion rings very overcooked. Not easy to get anyone's attention to complain. Always was a fan but not sure if going back.

Let's talk about Ted's. From what I was told, this is a Buffalo staple, but I don't think I fully realized what kind of staple restaurant I was stepping into. When I walked in, the place was fairly empty. The associates were friendly enough and helped me navigate the menu by recommending some of the classics. I went with the original hot dog and a side of onion rings. To be honest, the food was just okay. The hot dog was mid, nothing that stood out too much. The onion rings, on the other hand, were the star of the meal--lightly battered, crispy, and definitely the highlight. Overall, it was an experience worth trying, especially to check a local favorite off the list. Not bad, but not the best.

Footlong with everything and split fry and onion rings.

When traveling through New York I kept hearing about getting a footlong from Ted's. To be honest I didn't know going in what I was ordering...someone just said order a footlong with everything on it and 1/2 fries 1/2 onion rings. So that's what I did! Let me tell you it was about the best hot dog I had ever had! My husband and I split the footlong and split the fries and onion rings and then he went back and ordered another footlong with everything on it! It was delicious! What a great way to end our trip in New York!

I used to like Ted's but I don't like them as much anymore. I think the staff is still fabulous but the food isn't wowing me, personally. The hotdogs used to have a special taste I only got at Ted's (I don't have a grill) but now they just taste the same as if I threw them in the air fryer at home. The Italian sausage tastes like old grease. The chicken breast tastes like it was frozen and dethawed in the microwave. I am not sure if things changed or perhaps my taste has just become more refined. I know Ted's is a busy place so to each their own, of course! For me, I would rather make all of these things at home for a better taste and save y

Great hot dogs and burgers -- love how customizable everything is. The onion rings were crispy and delicious. Fries were just okay, nothing special. Still, overall a solid spot.

    Polish Sausage
    Gail B.

I had the Polish sausage, topped with caramelized onions. It was lower in sodium than a regular hot dog, and the onions nicely counteracted the sausage flavor. I also ordered some onion rings. They were crisp, large and tasty. Next time, I would blot the excess fat with napkins to conserve calories. The line was long (about 12 people) at lunch time, but my order (well done) came out in less than 10 minutes. I was impressed. If ever you are visiting downtown Buffalo and have the itch for a Polish sausage or hot dog, give Ted's Hot Dogs a try.

charcol grilled hot dog fast food chain. Has other options such as burger and cheese fries but known for their charcol bbq. got a foot long hot dog but the hot dog itself was soooo skinny. sausage was also ok but not hot enough when served. Service was nice and friendly. likely will not he returning.

When in Buffalo, stop by for a local red hot. Its the inner-city kid in me who was partial to the hotdog stands of NYC.

Anyway, I ordered a couple apps and the two meat plate with Chicken & Brisket, Beans, Slaw & the Mac Salad. Y'all, the brisket was moist tender and nicely marbled. I ate half of it before even opening the sauces! Same to be said for the Chicken, it was tender, with the perfect little hint of smoke, legit delicious! I highly recommend this spot when visiting the area... I will definitely be back my next time through.

For food, I tried the Reuben poutine appetizer ($20). Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the price. The cheese seemed very processed--hard to even describe, and definitely not what I expected. The fried Reuben itself was just okay, but overall it felt overpriced for what it was.
