I am very fond of this checkers! The people are very nice. Another reason is the food is great! I have never got a bad meal here. Their burgers are always juicy and fresh. It may take an extra minute at the window but it is worth it! Another reason I love this place is that they have the best seasoned fries. Always get a large order hot and fresh yummy. Their cokes are also great. Sometimes you get a bad drink at other places but not here. This is a five star place and would encourage everyone to try it out. If there is one thing to do better is to get linked with the rewards online. They don't work and can't accumulate points. That is nit picking and not enough to keep them from being 5 star! read more

Regular checkers nothing special about it lol but they do be out of fries 50% of the time i go which is kinda crazy cuz that's what they're known for. But other then that the food do be fresh i would choose them over cookout read more

The food was great. They had two drive thru lines but it always takes way longer to go through the drive thru so I would recommend walking up. They have a few chairs and tables outside to sit and eat at. read more

Prices on the board are incorrect. You actually pay a higher price. They said that the prices are for a large and you have to ask for a medium. Their excuse for not having the board updated is because there are only 3 people working there. I was there at 10:30 AM and had to pull forward and wait for them to cook fries mind you I was the only person in line. read more

I would rate this place as a negative if possible. Food was cold and the service was worse. I know this is a new establishment by a few weeks so by now the kinks should have been worked out. Issues with this particular Checkers: 1. The location Not sure whose idea it was to put this restaurant in that location but it was not well thought out. I see major car accidents in the future due to there not being a turning lane and no indication that the drive through line spills out into Fayetteville Road. Can not believe this was approved by the city! 2. The employees I am speaking specifically about the person on the intercom at the drive through. Perhaps she missed the training day when employees were told that if you keep it keyed up then customers can hear you and everything going on around you. I could also hear her confusion and the confusion of others regarding my order. 3. This is not a fast food place even though it is advertised as such I sat in the line for 30 minutes before reaching the intercom. Once I could hear what was going on inside then I realized why it takes so long. No one knows what they are supposed to do. I did an online order while sitting in the line because I couldn't get out of line to leave but didn't want to be one of the cars that was asked to pull up once I did the order at the intercom. There was at least five pulled off to the right waiting on their orders. 4. Parking spaces When your drive through line is directly beside the parking spaces and that line is always backed up then there is no way out of that spot. You will have to sit there until the store closes because no one will let you out and even if you did get out of the spot then you are still stuck in the line. 5. The food It was cold and honestly not good. I threw 75% of it away. The only reason I ate what I did is because I paid $13 for it. I ordered a Coke but was told at the intercom that they were out so I had to get a Powerade. As I stated previously I was able to do an online order so once I got to the intercom, I told the person on the microphone that I had placed an online order. Now mind you, there's a line behind me that extends well out into the highway and in front of me I am blocked by at least 10 other cars, not to mention the ones pulled over because they are waiting on their orders. The person on the intercom tells me that I have to park my car and walk up to the window at the front to pick up my online order. I told her there was not anything on the website stating that that's what I needed to do and that I will just pick it up whenever I drive around the building. She proceeds to tell me "No, that's not how it's done" and that I'll have to park. I told her that I was canceling my online order and I'll just go ahead and order now while I'm at the intercom. Chaos ensued and I could hear it all on the microphone that was keyed up. No one knew what to do because I had an online order and I could not walk up to the window to get it because I was blocked in by tons of cars. The common sense solution of just handing it out of the drive-through window was just so overwhelmingly complicated for this group of people. The person on the intercom tells me "well your food is ready so you don't have to place another order we will just walk the food out to you" which is what they did but I still had to wait in the line because I couldn't get out without going through the line. Yes, there is some space to drive on the other side of the cars once you get past the intercom however when they have other customers sitting there in those areas waiting on their food, it is impossible to get out. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER eat at that location again even if the food is free and delivered to my front door by the CEO of Checkers. Overall the food and service are terrible so don't waste your time, money or energy at this location. Just keep driving towards I-95 and there is a Burger King on the right and a McDonald's on the left. read more

checkers really dropped the ball. I beleive that that management and staff needs to be trained on how to make a bigger. Maybe Gordon Ramsay needs to come into your restaurant and train them about food safety. it's a great location but disappointin. I rather go to McDonalds. I have been waiting to go here due to the negative comments. However, I went today. I use to go to Checkers in Wilmington for their fries so I was happy that Lumberton got one. I got my food in less then 4 minutes. The lady at the window was pleasant. I got hot fries and a fried mushroom burger. It was around $9. I ate it and it was what I expected from Checkers. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews but maybe they have not tried Checkers before. Checkers is basically like Hardee's there are items (breakfast) there that is good which you go there for. You leave the rest of the menu along. Checkers is the same way.
