Holy diabetes Batman! This place is a must stop if you love delicious sugary baked goods. I don't…read moreeven try anything but the croissants. Usually I get 3 creme, 3 chocolate, and then a variety with the other six. A dozen runs just about $17. Get them first thing in the morning when they are hot and fresh. It's located in a sketchy looking shopping center and you park and enter around the side, not the front. They have a secondary restaurant inside with a bunch of tables and a couple of restrooms. Sometimes the lines here can be super long, I recommend calling your order in ahead. This way you can skip the line and just pick up your order. They have a ton of different flavors, lemon, apple, strawberry, raspberry...all worth trying!! A dozen is good for 2 people ;-). They will keep a couple days if you don't eat them all the first day. My only complaint is that I wish they were open Sundays. Usually I pick them up when I'm passing through on a Friday or Saturday morning headed out of town. I'd love to be able to pickup a dozen on the way home too!

It's kind of hard to find a solid breakfast spot when traveling down 74 West, without having to…read moredrive 2 hours. Cakes, Pastries, & More did not satisfy our need for some good breakfast. We have never been to a restaurant that serves you your breakfast cafeteria style! I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing if a breakfast joint does it like that. Our first impression when walking into Cakes, Pastries, & More is that there is no character to the restaurant. It's just a spacious square. We both got breakfast plates. The eggs were their best item, but was still not very good. The hash brows had no flavor and were undercooked (if you can imagine that) and bacon tasted like it had been sitting out for a day. The "sweet" tea is not sweet. The restrooms are nasty, but the rest of the restaurant is clean. Why just the restrooms? Both the solid customer service and the cleanliness of the rest of the restaurant are about best things going for this joint.
