I ultimately decided to go with Rapid Maid because of the number of conversations I had with the owner, Erick. He was able to address all my questions and was able to give me a very reasonable quote based off the pictures I had uploaded and sent to him. He clearly laid out what would be included in the service and what would not (for example, no garage and no backyard). Making an appointment was extremely pain free as he was very accommodating toward our days. Yes, they offer their services both Sat and Sun. On the day of the service, he came with 2 other crew members and I was able to walk through the home with him to go through high level of what has to be done. It is nice to see the owner on the day of and his team's extreme careful attention to details is impeccable. I would definitely highly recommend and will use them in the future.

When I sent them photos of things that they left undone, they gave some excuses, but they actually texted me while they were cleaning to ask for another hour so they could complete everything. The kitchen took extra time due to the inside oven and fridge add-on, so I ended up paying for additional time to complete my bedroom. She worked thoroughly and efficiently the entire time. One thing to note: they do not bring their own cleaning products, but they provide a clear list of what to have ready. That made prep easy and allowed me to choose products I was comfortable with. The lady who came to clean didn't speak any English so I couldn't communicate with her. She did a decent job cleaning, but definitely had things she could've improved on. I try to clean on a daily basis, but it's been a little difficult to do deep cleanings after having a baby, working, and going to school full-time. I even cleaned my home before she came because I wanted her to mainly focus on the stove/oven/hood, which I have been overlooking for some time. I did spend an hour cleaning up after, which is beside the whole point of hiring a cleaner... But my issue isn't with the cleaning lady, it's with the owner. When I brought the issue up to her, she completely ignored me, even when I sent her pictures and brought it up twice. I was completely friendly about it and was just expecting a response, not a refund or anything. Again, I did not want to leave a bad review and just wanted to give some feedback, but I feel like the customer service is completely lacking. By the way my cabinets and stove did not have those stains on it before the cleaner came. I think she used the same towel that she used on the stove for my entire counter and cabinets because everything was covered in black and brown specks afterwards. We let the cleaner in the apartment and then we had to leave. She seemed to stay there for a few hours. The cleaner took a super short video after the cleaning was completed which is appreciated but it's hard to tell what was cleaned clearly. But when we came back to the apartment later in the day, saw that the stove, refrigerator and floors were generally clean but noticed that majority of the insides of cabinets/drawers were not wiped, many corners/edges along where the floor/walls meet still had a lot of leftover debris/dust, and she forgot to clean the underside of the toilet lid. We told the owner about this and she sent the cleaner to come back and redo some parts of it. But even after she redid the cleaning on those parts, it was marginally better, but there was still some debris and dust left on the edges and corners after she wiped so it felt kind of futile to ask her to redo it a third time at this point since she just didn't seem to have that attention to detail. I ended up just having to clean those parts again myself. In our initial conversation with the owner before booking, they advised they bring all their own equipment for cleaning (including vacuum). But when the cleaner came, she didn't come with a vacuum. Their reasoning was because our apartment is only hardwood floors, but given how there was still dust balls in some corners/edges even in the second visit, just cleaning liquid and wipes are not enough for them to clean properly. If you just need a very general cleaning this service is fine but don't have high expectations for them to clean thoroughly.

Let me walk you through my past experience... we have tried using cleaners 4 others times. Every single one, we were so disappointed. The first finished in like an hour (what a joke). The second didn't even lift objects to wipe the whole surface underneath (uuuum?) the third was really really nice, but there were streak marks everywhere. The fourth was just okay... (he didn't even use proper bathroom cleaning supplies to get the soap grime). Now I am not joking. I have never seen our place this clean. I've literally spent the last 20 minutes walking around, wiping my finger across odd surfaces (like they do in the movies), and can't find any dirt or dust. I'm not exaggerating. And it's the stuff the other cleaners always missed: the inner ridge of the door molding, the tops of the baseboards, way behind the toilet, under my desk on the floor (yes I got on my hands and knees).
