They explicitly gave me a flat price of $499 for a display replacement. Based entirely on that number, I took the time out of my day to drive down, drop off my machine, and pay a non-refundable $30 diagnostic fee. However, once they had my laptop completely disassembled on their workbench, the price suddenly jumped by $100 to a new quote of $599. When I questioned why the price changed from their written quote, they claimed that the initial $499 price was actually only for a "B-Grade" used screen with scuffs and scratches on the outer casing. If I wanted a normal-looking, flawless screen ("A-Grade"), I had to pay the higher premium. They had my exact model number from the very first text. Withholding information about different "grades" of used parts until a customer's laptop is already taken apart in your shop is a highly deceptive business practice. Had they been transparent upfront that a standard screen replacement would cost $599, I would have opted to go to the Apple Store instead of wasting my time and money here. I paid the $30 fee just to get my laptop put back together and returned to me. Go to Apple or a more transparent shop that honors their initial quotes.

After I got the battery installed I only used my phone a few times that day but each time I used it I had to re-enter my passcode because it said my phone had restarted which I thought was odd. Then I looked at my phone for an extended period of time and saw it was rebooting every 4 minutes. A quick google search said that it's a common issue when a component is broken while replacing the battery. I called them and told them I was bringing my phone back for them to repair. When I arrived Kevin was incredibly rude...apparently when a customer calls and gives you a time when they will arrive with your phone you will be on your "lunch break" but they'll "do you a favor" and look at it. They put the old battery back in, agreed to refund me my $ and initially it seemed to resolve it and Kevin claimed he didn't have the skills to run the code to see why it was rebooting. Super fishy because if you're the only tech in the shop you should know how to run error codes. Meanwhile Kevin gave me his phone # "in case I had more issues...which of course I did since the phone kept rebooting itself. The next day I brought it back and they fixed the broken component and then I took the phone to the genius bar for them to replace the battery. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $10 and go to the genius bar where they have a better warranty and you won't have to drive back to his store 3x or if you get your phone replaced here stay at the store for at least a 1/2 hour to see if your phone has the reboot loop from their shoddy repair job.

Her Ipad had an insanely broken screen and the prices to get a repair at apple was insanely high that I almost considered getting her a new one. Luckily I found this location on maps, the customer service, and the price for the repair were really great at the downtown location. Only reason I did not give five stars was for the lack of communication. Left my phone number and I never got called back when there was a delay or when it was repaired. Plus when you call the number they give you it ends up calling the people at the other location. They also have a facebook page you can contact but I don't use social media much which is why I did not contact them there. Really great place, but the people downtown should really have their own number you can contact.
