Nasty. Bad service. Those are the words I use to describe this restaurant. I have eaten at several Cheddars around the states and have NEVER been to one leaving with a bad taste in my mouth. Our party was 8 and we all had patience knowing it was a large party on a busy evening. We ordered drinks and 3/8 were wrong after waiting 15 minutes. Then we ordered apps along with our meals. The apps came out cold and the waitress said she would bring us plates. The plates took around 10-15 minutes- enough time for our hungry mouths to devour the apps without the plates. Then comes the food. All our plates came except the child's plate. They brought the wrong plate out for him. We tell the waitress and it took about another 10 minutes. The food was gross and we were ready to leave. After talking to the waitress she said she couldn't give us a discount on the type of experience we had. What a joke. The signature drinks and entrees are completely awesome at Cheddars. my favorite cocktail is the signature Painkiller and I always have the bartender substitute the rum with Myers dark Jamaican rum. you're sure to love, cures any dry taste. read more

The host was great but when we were seated it took almost 10 minutes to even place our drink order. Once our server came out, she had a not-so-wonderful attitude. After taking our drink and food order, she did not come back to the table for 20 more minutes. After filling our drinks and bringing out our food we got our check and left. Three appearances from the waitress in an hour was less than desirable. The food though, was excellent. I highly recommend the maple bacon sandwich if you ever eat here! read more

By far my favorite place to have eaten here in Fort Smith! Price was phenomenal, but the food was even better! The ribs were absolutely delicious and paired with the BBQ chicken it made the perfect combo. Service was polite and timely. Only thing is I wish I would've been here sooner on my trip! read more

This was very good. Food was great and they give you very large portions for your money. Sweet croissants were kinda over hyped but still very good. The only complaint I have is it was kinda uncomfortable in the aspect that it was very bright, and very noisy. read more

Our waitress was so sweet and took very good care of us, made sure we had everything and refilled our drinks without us asking. I'm only giving this a three because of the waitress if not for her I'd give it a one or two. Our food came out and my boyfriends was hot and looked really good but when my food came out it was cold and had to be sent back to be warmed up again. On top of that when I got my food back there was a hair, i didn't say anything only because I didn't want to have to wait for my food again. We went here last night to eat after going for a ride on the Christmas Train. This was the first time we had visited this location and will be the last. We arrived at the restaurant at around 8:15 pm and it was 9:45 before we left the front door. It took a while to get our food and when we did it was cold like it had been sitting in the window for a long time. I had their chicken strips which has always been my go to were cold, tough, and may or may not have been cooked to the right temp. Our waiter was hit and miss. Great when we first arrived but after bringing our drinks service went down a little. Only ate 2 of my chicken strips and spit part of one out because of the texture. Absolutely love Cheddars! The food is always great but the service isn't always great, which is the reason for the four stars and not five. The last three times we have gone to Cheddars the service has been subpar compared to previous experience. Not sure why the change but I find myself not going as frequently as we used to. Eat here fairly often. First actual bad experience I recall. Service from Amy was an A+! Food was definitely a C-. Overcooked chicken, soggy fries & mushy veggies. My husband and I eat out often and Cheddars is one of our local favorites. The food is always flavorful and plentiful enough for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We went the other day with friends and their eight month old baby and even while we were getting settled and were probably horrible the staff was curtious and attentive. Horrible experience, service has gone down since opening, I waited an hour for my food had to be sent back twice bc it was wrong both times as well as the people I was eating with and their order was so easy I don't know how you would manage to mess it up, the host/hostesses cop an attitude if you ask to sit in a certain area I'm convinced customer service is dead. The wait staff walks around as if they would rather be anywhere but there. Food was AWFUL!! I couldn't even eat my grilled shrimp and chicken due to the kitchen literally dumping a pound of seasoning on them. Nothing was fresh and tasted warmed up. The waitress offered to bring me some more grilled shrimp that even she commented on --saying it didn't look right --when she brought it to the table. Good solid food. Whether for lunch or dinner Cheddars delivers good food at a decent price. We can actually afford to come here as a family and eat! LOL Their chicken strips are really good and their salad with the chicken strips is one of my favorites. I have eaten here more times than I can count and they are pretty consistent. If we have ever had a problem, they fix it quickly. Wait staff tends to be young, attentive, experienced and willing and able to handle special requests. We have always enjoyed our Cheddars experiences and I'm sure we will have many more! :) read more

Never a bad meal or service here. Monte Cristo is the reason my daughter eats here. I always get salmon & always delicious.

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. The service, well not so much. We arrived about 9:10ish (close at 10:00). We ordered an appetizer and asked server to return for order after a bit. Server returned prior to appetizer. Placed order for a veggie plate/salad and a chicken pot pie/salad. Appetizer arrived and before we were 2/3 finished here comes the salads. A little rushed; but, no biggie at this time. I am applying my dressing to the salad and cutting the lettuce into smaller pieces and HERE COME THE ENTREES. The server (in her defense) did offer to return them to the kitchen to keep warm. We declined. Then, the server lamely apologized with an additional statement that really got to me. "Sorry the guys in the kitchen are ready to go home". It was 9:25! So, in about 10 minutes we went from no food to ALL our food essentially at once. I started to ask for management. Hopefully, they read these. So, the guys in the kitchen are driving the bus. Seems like the server would place the orders in an appropriate timeframe. I used to wait tables... It wasn't busy at all; so, no competing orders were in front of us. It's not that hard to slow the kitchen down or delay inputting an order to give your GUESTS a more enjoyable experience. This server did not seem all that "Service Savvy". My experience determines HER income...not the kitchen. read more

Wow I totally didn't expect this place to be good at all. I came in expecting IHOP quality but I was sooo wrong. I had the baked honey butter croissants and I was in heaven. It was so good that I had to order 2nd. I also ordered the grilled salmon lunch portion served with rice. This comes with 2 sides order so I chose french fries and mashed potatoes with white gravy. Went in at 11am it wasn't busy but some how we were over looked when seating people and they seated other that just came in the door. We were seated and it was cold. We waited about 10 mins for our drinks mind you still not busy at this time. We waited 30 more minutes for someone to take our order no one came so we got up and left. I would have to give this restaurant 5 stars. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of cars there. We had hard any time before we were seated. My husband had the bone in ribeye, potato, and veggies. He said the steak was juice and cooked perfect. He also had a stack of onion rings as an appetizer. There were plenty of them! I had the 6 oz sirloin, potato and steamed broccoli. All of our food was delicious and cooked to perfection. They also have honey butter croissants that almost melt in your mouth. We had plenty of food and had to get to go boxes. There was enough for another meal. We will eat there again. The waitress was pleasant and very helpful. Today I ate at cheddars and simply ordered a house salad with the dressing on the side. The salad had a dead fly in it and although the wait staff apologized for the matter, I may never be able to eat here again. The fact that a dead fly ended up in my food makes me severely concerned for the condition of the kitchen. read more

The food was not prepared correctly, we didn't get napkins and silverware until after we finished eating our appetizer, the food was delivered and we had to ask. The avocado fish sandwich came without the avocado and the fish was full of bones. The BBQ burger came without BBQ sauce. The jumbo shrimp was more like incredibly shrinking shrimp. Giving one star is really being generous. I ordered Grilled Tilapia and shrimps with mango salsa (supposed to be served on a bed of rice and there was not a rice. When I called his attention he said they run out of rice. But one of our side orders is red beans and rice and there was rice. Food was cold, we ordered croissant but it came out cold and burnt (an odd combination), the server promised that they will serve us some when the next batches come out but he later came back and said that all of them were also burnt.
