From the moment I walked in I had an amazing experience. Very clean, Greeted, & outstanding staff especially the manager Micheal & our server Marcel. I had a great night with my cousin & Good friend. Micheal & Marcel went up & above my expectations that night. They did everything to make sure I was taking care of even though it was a very busy night. I waited 1.15 minutes to have the food on my table to then feel so disappointed with the awful food served, sirloin steak dry and hard as rubber when I requested it medium well, it was burned dry and spicy too much pepper, the chicken tenders were mostly bread, the Alfredo sauce of the pasta was watery with so much broccoli served under tge pasta to make it look bigger and without flavor and the ribs dry as if just taken out from the freeze and throw on to the fire. To top it all the manager of Saturday April 3, 2021 didn't even have the courtesy of stopping at out table even tho he was advised per our waitress of the incident. Took the wife to a Valentines day dinner at Cheddar's and being that this is a new location we gave it a try as the broward location had gotten a little stale and mediocre. The food was fantastic and our waiter was even better and as attentive as he could be given the crowded environment of the day. The chips and Queso were amazing chips were nice and crispy, we also had the cheese curds which were also nice and fresh. The wife and i for entree had the steak and tenders, the tenders were nice and fluffy and breading was crunchy.. our steaks were both cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth with every bite, to wash everything down my wife had a Texas tea, careful though they are as dangerous as they are good. Ordered online for take out. The site was easy enough to use and track the order. I got a text when the food was being prepped for pick-up which gave me enough time to head to the restaurant. Their curbside pick-up area has a number to call or you can use the site when you get there but someone saw me pull up and promptly brought my order out. The food here is amazing. Horrible Service!!! I took the family out for lunch and we were seated right away. That is the only great thing I can say about the service. Once seated we waited 20 minutes until I was able to flag someone down to help. Once greeted by our waiter he informed us he was getting off and someone will be by to help. Eventually some nice young girl came up and took our order then disappeared forever. Next came our actual server who brought our drinks and eventually our food. By the way, if you would like a refill, order when they bring the drinks. The refill wait time is about 15 minutes. We ordered the pot pie, country fried chicken, and chicken Alfredo with broccoli. All meals were acceptable and tasted good, not great. The reason for the 2 stars is because the wait staff is non existent when needed and has no want or will to help. Once we finished I paid at the console on the table then had to flag someone down for a to go container. We have been going to cheddars for years in Orlando , When the one in West Kendall opened we started going because it was convenient, The food is always good and we never spend more than $70 HOWEVER The last time we went it was so bad we decided to never go back to this location. We asked to be moved to another table and the greeter helped us to do so but then it took over 30 minutes for somebody to come to our table and take our order, After 15 minutes of waiting I asked the greeter who our server was and she responded "I don't know you're the one who decided to move tables" I WAS SO CONFUSED! Nobody came by our area so my husband told me to go and speak to the bartender which I did And he first one to invest see where server was till then tell us that he was going to be your server and that he would be right back ( He took an order from a table that had sat down 5 minutes ago before he took ours After I had told him we had been waiting for a server for 30 minutes) The server was very friendly After he started to help us But overall experience was terrible ! Went there last night and was really disappointed with the service but moreover with the food. The "rib eye" was terrible and I'd wager to say that it was not rib eye. The cut looked more like a thick piece of flank steak because it was tearing apart. That doesn't happened with rib eye steak. Then my Bloody Mary came half way through my lunch after repeated requests of asking for it. Then the waiter treated me as if he was doing me a favor because they were short staffed. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to leave a no star review. This was one of the worst eating experiences our family has had and believe it or not, we are not picky people! To start off, we sat at our table for 20-25 minutes and no waiter ever came. I finally had to ask for service. It only got worse. Kids Penne came without garlic bread. Ribs were so overcooked I could hardly bite the meat off the bone. Steak was ordered medium and came out like shoe leather. My son requested French fries instead of coke slaw and they forgot. Forgot the loaded potato side as well and took another 20 minutes and five times of asking to bring out the forgotten potato and garlic bread. Brought out a kids drink for me instead of my daughter. They forgot my wife's side salad. My wife's pot pie was literally rancid. She tried a second one... same result. She left feeling sick. We actually normally like Cheddar's but this particular one was atrocious! To try to say something positive.... My boys enjoyed their chicken fingers and the cheddar bites were good although a very small serving. Worth traveling to some other city to find a different cheddar's! Where to begin....(first and last time there) ok our party of four were sat pretty quickly at around 8pm this past Sunday 3/19 and were served a few croissants drizzled with honey butter. The cheese was actually tasty probably because it was made fresh...for mains we ordered a bbq ribs and ribeye (ordered medium) combo with a baked potato and some broccoli casserole, a chicken pot pie, half a rack of ribs with fries and broccoli, and a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Let's start with the wrap. The wrap was a cold (tomato) wrap with pieces of chicken with some sauce. The wrap was crusty on the ends which would've been ok had it been a grilled wrap but it wasn't. Someone's been leaving the wraps bag open. The ribs and ribeye. Omg. I ordered the ribeye medium. It was so beyond well done I could barely cut through the eye. The baked potato was slightly warm and the ribs were super dry. It was as if they were baked into submission and covered with sauce to hide the fact that they were dry AF. That went for both orders of ribs. Then came the fries...OMG how is it that a place that opens at 3 pm serves fries that taste like they were made at 8 am and have been sitting under a warming lamp until we ordered 12 hours later?? I mean come on!! We actually asked for baked potatoes instead cause they were not edible! The pièce de résistance was the chicken pot pie...holy crap! It looked beautiful when it came out with a pretty puff pastry crust covering up the mess inside! It was a soupy mess that looked they tried to thicken it with corn starch overcooked it and the sauce broke. "Well oops just serve it like that," I guess is their motto cause they served it just like that. We did get that taken off the check because the waitress offered but the ribs and steak stayed. The one star I am giving is due to the decor and hosts, of the restaurant which were helpful and nice, other than that everything was a disaster, we sat down by the bar area and had to wait 5 minutes for our server to greet us, we ordered 2 sodas and 2 beers. Our server brought the sodas got our appetizer order and completely forgot about us for about 15 mins while attending 2 other tables. After getting tired of waiting we called the nearest staff member and told them we needed the manager, our server magically appears to tell us that they ran out of the beer we ordered but the bartender never told her, it doesn't take 20 minutes to find out that you've run out of beer. If you do you tell your table that you are out, not wonder away when your table clearly ordered something and then blame the bartender when it was your fault for taking so long to tell your table that you were out of that item. An assistant manager comes to the table to apologize but I guess he didn't really understand because when he brought us the check the beers were still charged. We clarified it to him that we NEVER got our beers, he proceeded by telling us that he was sorry once again and he came back with a corrected check, having worked at a restaurant as a server/assistant manager I believe he did not approach this the correct way and did not take the correct action towards the situation. The correct thing to do would be remove all items (which we barely ate the appetizer or drank our sodas) considering that the experience was not at all pleasant and you as an assistant manager want the customers to come back, nobody goes to a restaurant to drink 2 sodas and barely eat an appetizer. As we were going to pay our tab, he says that he's gonna get us a coupon, we agree and after 5 minutes of waiting we left. There was hair in my girlfriends food and my steak was cooked to a crisp as I had previously asked for medium rare. One of the managers was extremely rude and displayed poor server etiquette. To top it all off there was not a single discount for my meals that took roughly 2 hours due to the backed up kitchen and the messed up orders; one with hair and the other cooked terribly. Food was very good however I had a horrible time I went to this restaurant with my mom and grandma for my mom's birthday and I was treated by Richard he was walking around with a bad attitude and barely had manners and when I asked him for a birthday cake for my mom someone else came with the cake asking who it was for and ruined my moms 58th birthday. However, it was not her fault because our waiter Richard did not tell the girl it was someone's birthday and after this when he came to apologize we had to still ask him for a candle and when he brought it he walked away without singing or even wishing my mom a happy birthday. And as the nightmare continues when we went to pay with two gift cards and a credit card he took the card and told us one of the cards we had just opened had no credit and instead of telling us it had no credit charged the rest of it to my card. And when the manager came to explain the situation he ridiculed my mother and when we asked for him to change it so we could split the bill he told us we couldn't despite this being their fault. He explained how he had to approve of his employee to charge on the gift card and that was a confirmation that he approved of his employee charging us without telling us. After being PolItEly rude to my mother he left and his employee Richard came back and said sorry and said that WE told him that if one of the cards wouldn't work to charge the rest on one card. After this situation, my mother still tipped him 10$ despite the horrible service even though me and my grandma pleaded for her not to tip him. I had a horrible time and despite the food being very good I will never come back and I suggest you do the same. read more

My wife and I went to Cheddar's yesterday for lunch. The experience was terrible. I don't remember having such poor service in a very long time. The food was just acceptable, but having to wait, waving frantically at the servers to-even get noticed, made for a tense, less than relaxing meal. I should have found a manager to, in good faith, advise him or or her of the problems, but after two hours in the place, with no manager in sight, I simply wanted to leave. This place is fairly new but it's horrible. The servers (except one Andrew) are the worst! I've been there a few times and 90% of the time I've left without eating. The servers either forget we exist to where my husband has to get up to get the refills for himself and/or the kids or they just never check up on us. Kendall Florida is a hotspot for bad food and management and Cheddars keeps that tradition alive. Yesterday afternoon my wife's meal of lemon chicken consisted of rubber chicken and un-steamed broccoli. We had no choice but to order something different. Twenty minutes later her meal was delivered and friends and family watched my wife have her meal alone. The bill was also incorrect. Three times I was told the manager was coming to the table, but the manager chose to leave the young server out to dry. YOU ARE A MANAGER FOR A REASON.
