Dairy queen, root beer stand, walmart deli, gas station, all better quality chicken than here. I hadn't been to a cheddar's in quite some time. We had a brief wait which was fine. Our server was competent but not overly engaging. She seemed over worked. The pastries are really good. An unexpected delight. I had the spicy shrimp which had a nice spice level. They were good. Another person had the not spicy shrimp past but the shrimp were very spicy. She doesn't like spicy food so that was a miss. The chicken tenders were really good. Huge portions. We had some children in the group and their food was served in very hot dishes. The food, portion sizes, atmosphere, and speed were all great. Waitress was nice and efficient.

When this place first opened up it was really good, but at some point between 2019 and now the food is just not the same nor is the attention to detail or the service. They may have short staffed issues, but there's no excuse for two empty glasses when the waitress has stopped many times to look at them. Not was there an excuse for a waitress in training picking at her nose by the host desk or the hostess not informing us that we could get a non-booth seat in the bar instead of waiting. My boyfriend decided to treat me for my birthday to some cheddars. (08/05) Which is usually one of my favorite places to dine in for special occasions, due to the great service. We both arrived around 8:13pm. We were seated shortly after, but we waited over 45 minutes before we were served. Let alone looked at by any of the staff. When the server finally arrived, she was very rude and dismissed that fact we were waiting almost an hour to be served!. We then waited another 30 minutes for drinks and another 20 for appetizer which came out along with our food! This was unacceptable I don't recommend cheddars to anyone. Cheddar's used to be great. Now its a filth hole that serves garbage. The amount of food that is dried up and encrusted to the booth partition walls is atrocious. The food we received was a joke. The steaks were piled with so much peppercorn that you couldn't finish them. The ribs were so dried out that they literally crunched. Slathering bbq sauce on overcooked, dry pork doesn't make for good ribs. It took 20 minutes AFTER our appetizer had been long gone before food hit the table. Cold fries, rubber broccoli. Sadly, this has been our experience the last couple times we've been in. Its beyond being just an off-day fluke. This is just how that restaurant is now. Went there last night 3/18/24 with a party of 7. Food was great my issue came with our server. I'm not gonna mention names but if they look they can figure it out. Our server was rude as hell. First time coming here. Friendly staff, and quick service. Got seated almost right away. My waitress was also really nice. I asked a few things about the items on the menu and she recommended a few things. Also was quick to grab anything if needed. Even on the busy night she was attentive. Really recommend the onion rings for an appetizer. Nice onion ring tower presentation as well. The Cajun dipping sauce is awesome. Adds great flavor to the battered onion rings. 7:15 on a Sunday night. They said wait would be 20-25 took maybe 15 to sit, another 15 for drinks and dinner arrived at 8:15 with 4 of the dishes and 3 still missing. Prices are cheap but the wait sucks. I would not recommend this place for more than 5 people we had 7 in our group with a child. Free bread would have been nice to tie the child over for the long wait. No silverware on the table when we arrived. Food did not come all out at once and most plates were missing items. Very odd. Our server seemed to go missing. Food smells good but they put way too much gravy on the fried chicken but my father says the chicken does tase good. Waitress was extremely nice and willing to bring us cleaning supplies. Everyone is worried about getting covid but here at the table once you sit your menus and paper towels stick to the table they are so dirty and sticky. 4-2-18 The seat had soda all over it and the menu was sticky with food particles on it. I've had this problem before so I guess they don't bother cleaning the menus down. Our waitress is very abrupt and she doesn't give you time to say anything before she is off to the next customer. I guess my tip will reflect this. My mother got the pecan salad which I know she will not be happy with as my mother likes lots of green lettuce on her salad. I had the the grilled chicken with shrimp, sweet potato and fries. My meal was cold. The shrimp and chicken was cold to the touch. The waitress took the meal away and didn't bother asking if I wanted something different. To abrupt for me. I won't get her again. I ended up getting a replacement meal within 10 minutes. The food wasnt cold it was a little better than warm. I ate the meal as I didn't feel like waiting any longer to eat. I guess today they had a problem getting the food hot. My mother liked her salad which I was surpised as she said it had alot of greens in it. We had dessert at let's spoon ( A yogurt place). The manager (Guy) came out and he told me that the sauce is made the same way all the time. I can't say I cared for his demeanor. On my last review the sauce was excellent and it had excellent taste. If you want pasta don't come here. This is not chicken Fettuccine as the pasta they use are Penne not the Fettuccine noodles. My mother had the chicken pot pie and a side salad. My mother liked it. I love Cheddar's but my husband is decidedly on the fence. I twisted his arm a bit and off we went. We were seated right away in the main section near the fans. It has a beautiful decor, but it is a little dark in there. Our server greeted us right away; he was a really friendly and chatty guy. We started with some cheese curds. The breading was a little too crunchy for my tastes, but they were still good. I ordered the steak and chicken strips with mashed potatoes and corn. My husband ordered their New Orleans pasta. The food took quite a while to come out, but at least our server kept us informed (there were a couple of really big parties there) and kept our glasses full. The food was great! The steak was cooked well, the chicken was great. I got a baked potato instead of mashed, but that's fine. No worries. Best of all, my husband loved his pasta! He wished it were just a smidge warmer, but he claimed the flavor was outstanding. He gets a similar dish from Fridays which costs close to $16 and here it was $11.99. Fantastic food and great service. I think I've converted my husband into being a fan! read more

AVOID if you're vegan or vegetarian! Other than the most excellent server Cecilia, the place wasn't good. The prices we're fair though. I made the wrong assumption that when a menu states "Vegetable Plate," that is what I can order. Not really! It was a salad with 4 sides but, who would think that the following items we're not Vegetarian - BROCCOLI CHEESE CASSEROLE, BUTTERED OFF-THE-COB CORN, SOUTHERN GREEN BEANS, and SEASONED RICE. That left me with nothing but starch and a salad. Again, HOORAY for the incredible kindness of our server. Without her, we would have left the restaurant. I realize the service industry is still recovering and having patience while waiting is the new normal but.... My mom who is 85 ordered a steak. Her steak was so rare is was bleeding in her mashed potatoes. When asked to have it cooked longer the waitresses rolled her eyes as if we were an inconvenience to her. We never got a drink refill- when asked for one when we got our check she said she didn't know if she had any to go cups. I would give zero stars if possible. This evening while waiting for a table, there was a little accident by the entry. A child puked all over the floor and on a staff member. Not only did it take at least 10 minutes for them to clean it up, they didn't even use a mop to clean the floors. They sprayed the floor with a cleaner and two staff members used paper towels to wipe it up. I didn't realize it was that difficult to get ahold of a mop to not only clean the mess but make it smell a lot better. It smells absolutely disgusting and I feel bad for those with food right by the incident. Hoping they fix their problem solving skills. To continue on, when I recieved my meal, chicken alfredo pasta, the chicken was undercooked. So after already waiting 30+ minutes for food, I waited another 20 to get my fresh meal. After receiving undercooked chicken and waiting a while for new food, there was no discount applied to the bill. Don't bother...food was VERY cold. Mashed potatoes took 30 minutes ...after the entree was brought out. Are people afraid they will get sued for hot food? Or is it because of the under 25 crowd running the place? Please stop vaping weed or wtf ever you are doing, while waiting to bring the food to the table so long that it's COLD. Then stop acting indifferent when I say something to you about it.
