Things to improve: 1. Bathroom cleanliness 2. Condiments refilled or checked prior to opening or at closing so guests don't have to ask since servers are too busy gabbing 3. Refill waters without your guests having to find someone to do it 4. Check on guests and if the food is not eaten and they don't want a box, maybe ask why 5. Food was absolutely awful. Eggs were all overcooked at our whole table-rubbery, couldn't cut thru the whites. Sunny side up with had yolks. Tater tots appeared frost bit. The restaurant was not busy either. I absolutely loved my visit here! All the food was amazing, the staff was so nice, and the location is just adorable. This was the first time for me eating at this restaurant. I called and made a reservation early in the day for a group of eight and I was told it would be no problem we get there and the only table they have available is this really long table and they wanted to sit us with another group of people and asked if that would be OK and I said no so they put us up on the upper floor and we got our own table. I ordered the sirloin steak which had no seasoning at all with cold garlic mashed potatoes and overcooked asparagus. I wanted it medium and it was medium rare and the juices from the steak went all over the plate and into other food. Very trendy restaurant. Enjoyed the ambiance and decor. Food was all spot on! Opened with the Blue Buffalo Tots. The serving size was ample and had a good amount of Buffalo & blue on it! Dinner was the Cheese Curd Burger and the Bacon Burger. Both were good sized, and they weren't joking about building them upside down as you can see in the pictures. They even sear "Mishawaka" on one side and their logo on the other. They also offer bags of fresh ground coffee blends of their own making. It looked like there was an upstairs that would have had a wonderful river view. Our server was friendly and efficient, and food rolled out quickly, despite the appearance of being short-staffed. This is a nice place for food if your a vegitarian. If you like meat though, this place burns meat at an alarming pace. Went with a big group on Sunday. All of their sides could easily be ordered as appetizers to feed 4-6 people. Drink orders: the jalapeño margarita (pictured) was by far the best one I've ever had. We have been here a couple times. Service is okay not speedy. Food timing is long. Do not recommend for quick bite. First time we met for bunch, food was good nothing fabulous, I don't even remember what we ordered if that tells you anything. Second time was for lunch started with cheese curds. Very very light fluffy super tasty chunks of greatness! Highly suggest ordering cheese curds and that's where tasty ends. The menu seriously lacks non meat options. I ordered a salad minus the chix - it was just a salad again nothing special. The other guest ordered an olive burger. It was a dense puck of chard meat with some funky warmed blue cheese spread and what was supposed to be an olive tapenade. It was the most disgusting smell from across the table, like stinky feet with armpit. Tried scrapping it off but didn't help. It was not edible. The food is great! I love their Cobb salad. The cheese curds are wonderful. They have a Bloody Mary bar on Sundays. They're pretty good. You can dress it with any of the fun skewers full of yummy garnishes. The cheesecake is smooth, and full of flavor. I'm not sure that the space is all that amazing. We are inside, but there is seating outside as well. It looks like their cooking area is very small so everyone got there food at different times. Let start with the goat cheese fondue that was not smooth, rich, or creamy all things inherent to goat cheese. It was flavorless and appeared to consist mainly of grated Parmesan. The entrees after failed to Impress. Ever single dish lacked any flavor. The grilled veggie sandwich was filled with canned mushrooms. The dragon fruit mojito was not strained and so full of pulp the straw was useless. Lots of potential with location but the kitchen needs an intervention.
