This is a restaurant I have wanted to eat at for a long time. It is a comfortable place to eat. The hostess and server were very welcoming. I went with my daughter for lunch. Our pleasant server brought out warm croissants within two minutes of our arrival. I munched on one. It was pretty good. Next we ordered chips and queso dip. We added beef and that is complimentary. This was a great appetizer but filling. By the time I got to my meal, I was already somewhat full. The fried (classic) chicken sandwich was good. It is a good size and the fries were ok. I walked into Cheddar's and was amazed by the aquarium. It set the right tone for the visit. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. It is hard to describe but I felt like I was back in Colorado. I liked it. This is a restaurant that has lots of entree choices. You can definitely find something you like. Our server was great at her job and even looked like someone from a show I watch. She brought over croissants with frosting within a minute or two of us sitting down. I am not a croissant person for some reason. These were ok but you can't really go by me. We started with the chips and queso. You can add beef free of charge and we did. This is served with salsa on the side which is ok. I did really enjoy the queso. It was flavorful and served real hot. I ordered the classic chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was awesome. It is served with tasty pickle chips on the sandwich. I don't love all fried chicken but this is just right for me. The fries were good. I have a feeling they are real good but they seemed like they were sitting around a bit. Yet they were hot. I look forward to coming back here. This restaurant turned out to be a pretty great surprise for a casual date night. The place smells clean the moment you walk in and has a warm, inviting vibe with that fish tank . The reception staff seated us quickly, and our waitress wasted no time bringing drinks and our appetizer. We started with the creamy spinach and chips, rich, flavorful, and with just enough kick to keep you dipping long after you're full. Definitely a must-try. For the main course, we had the Southern fried chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The chicken was freshly fried and bursting with flavor. The green beans looked like they might have come from a can, but somehow they were super soft and still delicious. The shrimp pasta Alfredo, however, could've used a little more zing, it was good, just a bit shy on personality. We washed everything down with the $3 Bud Light special and a house margarita. The margarita did show up with a sugar rim instead of the salt we asked for... and our server didn't offer to swap it out. Oh well we survived . We Came on a Tuesday around 6:30. We were told to wait as they found us a table but the restaurant was completely empty. However, we still sat down quickly and got waters as soon as we sat as well as the honey butter croissants. Our waitress was new to the restaurant but she was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested some items to us. She was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very big inside with plenty of seating and a bar area. We started with the Wisconsin cheese bites. I can tell the ranch sauce is made from scratch because it was delicious. I then had the chicken tender platter that comes with two sides and my fiancé had the buffalo chicken wrapper. The chicken tender platter is a decent size. I got French fries and coleslaw as my sides. The platter was so huge I couldn't finish it! My fiancé thought the buffalo chicken wrapper was great. I just ordered Uber Eats from this place and my driver was picking up my order and crew members stating they haven't started the order delaying my driver, he was complaining to them stating it had should've been completed once arrival. The service we received from being seated by the hostess to being served by out server was exceptional. The restaurant very clean and the vibe very family oriented . We did not have the best experience. I took my father to Cheddars for lunch. The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because they had technology that let us pay our check on the device at the table. We ordered a Monte Crisco sandwich and an order of onion rings. The food was terrible. They over fried the rings and the sandwich in old oil. We showed one of the managers our meal and he agreed and said he would talk to kitchen. We never saw him again. We showed and told our waiter our food and he said he was sorry for the way our food came out. The staff never offered to make our order right. Now for my pet peeve, my ice tea glass was empty the entire meal, and the waiter never came back to fill it. Poor service, overcooked food, and not an appropriate response to our complaint. Came here for the first time for a pre Mother's Day dinner and I was not disappointed. First the service from the hostess to our server was excellent. The restaurant does have a chain restaurant vibe but very open and clean. The complementary honey butter croissant was delicious. To start we had the special watermelon margarita on the rocks which was only $6 !! Big cup very yummy. For diner I had the bourbon salmon and shrimp. I'm very happy that the bourbon sauce was put on the side as it was very spicy so I only put a little bit on my food. Everything on my plate was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My mom had the barbecue ribs which the really fell off the bone and she mentioned that they were also well seasoned and perfect. My oldest had the chicken tender and fries platter which again he enjoyed I tried them and they were not overly salty. And my little one had the 6 ounce sirloin which again I ordered the medium well and it was perfectly cooked. For dessert, we both had the chocolate cake as well as the apple fritter both the desserts were very yummy. I was completely shocked when I saw the bill since with everything it was very economical and I would say cheaper than dinner at Denny's and the quality was better than you every day chain restaurant. The two Cheddar's menu items I absolutely crave are the broccoli cheese casserole and the honey butter croissants. The rest of the menu is quite large with many chicken, fish, beef, salad, and pasta entrees. They have a full bar with lots of tasty drinks and cocktails. The chicken pot pie is another favorite and you can never go wrong with the skillet chocolate chip cookie brought out to your table warm with vanilla ice cream. Reminiscing about how much I missed the food here, I decided to get lunch on a day I had off from school from the Cheddar's Pembroke Pines location. The restaurant is close to I-75 and Pines Blvd making it easy to reach. Unfortunately I wasn't going to make it in time for the lunch specials so I just ordered it online. The process could not have been easier. I just picked out what I wanted and when the food was ready they texted me a link to check in. After I arrived I checked in, let them know my parking spot number, and they brought it out. Kathy even called me to see if I needed help when I was running a few minutes late. For $10 I got their delicious chicken pot pie with chunks of white meat chicken, peas, and carrots in a flavorful gravy and topped with a layer of puff pastry. My meal also included a side and of course I picked the broccoli cheese casserole and they even added a honey butter croissant. Everything was as wonderful as I remembered. The food at Cheddar's is delicious and a good value for your money. I got the 6oz sirloin with grilled shrimp combo, which comes with 2 sides (I got the steamed broccoli and baked potato). The steak was cooked just how I like it and the grilled shrimp were delicious and flavorful. The broccoli was delicious too, as was the baked potato which you can't go wrong with. On top of this, you get Cheddar's famous croissants to start, which is topped with a sweet honey butter. Our server was newly trained yet delivered friendly and fantastic service. This Cheddar's is on the corner of Dykes & Pines Blvd, in the same plaza as the Crunch gym. I always pass by as this is my go-to gym and make a note to eat one day and finally got to during a dinner with a friend. It was pouring rain and the staff was super friendly and welcoming as we came in. We got seated right away and our server was fairly attentive. I think he was on the younger side as he didn't know much about if they had certain drinks or what certain beers were. They serve croissants with bread as their starters that comes to every table and this is definitely different. I'm not used to having croissants as a starter, only used to having them as a breakfast pastry or dessert so, again, very different. I ordered the chicken alfredo and my friend got the steak. As far as dinner goes, definitely pretty normal for restaurants like this. Nothing stood out but it was pretty good. The server did forget our drinks for a bit, noticing that our food came out before drafts or bottled beers but that's okay. Overall, a pretty good spot if you're looking for a normal dinner with friends or family. Loved this place! Upon sitting down you get these delicious honey drizzled breads that remind me what you used to get at an old restaurant called Hops but even better. The food portions are a nice size that you will have some to go. The service was nice and relaxed from the hostess to the manager. This was my first time eating at any Cheddar's location. The inside is very large, very modern looking. There are several large seating areas and a bar. The televisions were playing sports networks. To start, my party got the cheese curds. It's my understanding that you also get complimentary croissants but we never got them..? The cheese curds were very good but they're essentially just small mozzarella sticks so pretty hard to mess up. The sodas we ordered were all watered down / weak so their machine definitely needed a fix. However, the strawberry lemonade was very good. It comes with a strawberry topping/inclusion and it was super good and with free refills. To eat, my party got the chicken and shrimp (with mashed potatoes and house salad), the grilled chicken and shrimp (with corn and house salad) and the meatloaf (with a baked potato and coleslaw). Most of the meals come with 2 sides and the salads are .99 cents extra. They were pretty good, pretty basic. The salads also come out before the rest of your meal. For the actual dishes, she grilled shrimp were pretty decent. They come with a small portion of rice (though the menu doesn't say that). They were pretty blackened so if you do not like your food that grilled you might want to request that they grill it lightly. The chicken was pretty decent as well. The most comparable thing to it would be the chicken crispers from Chilis. The meatloaf, however, was pretty below-average. It tastes exactly like a lean cuisine meatloaf. Overall, the service was very good and attentive but I would not come back here for a meal. I could see myself coming in the future for appetizers and drinks only since their lemonade was very good and their cheese bites were as well. From my understanding they are known for these croissants and while i wasn't impressed the rest of my family devoured them! Baked potato soup was creamy, filled with flavors and topped with LOTS of bacon! The cheese curds were borderline perfect. Crispy on the outside, squeaky cheese on the inside and seasoned just right. The buffalo chicken wrap was MASSIVE! It's very hard to find a meal that i can't finish and after half of this wrap i was STUFFED!!!! Lots of great flavor. Chicken was cooked right, buffalo sauce amount was good and lots of crunch from the veggies. Would definitely order again. The chicken fried chicken was another win. Wasn't my dish but i was told it was crunchy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside and was an all around home run. Only dish that didn't really deliver was the bacon burger. Me and my family had only been to Cheddar's once and this was during a trip to Orlando. The food was really delicious and we remembered how the price was not so bad, so was a suggestion for us to go again. 6 months ago, we had an impromptu plan to meet up with our family friends and our kids who are all the same age. The ambiance in the restaurant was great and they set us in a perfect spot for us and our total of 6 kids with lots of energy and excitement to enjoy ourselves. It was not as busy as we recall when we found out about this location months back and they were too busy for us to wait. Our server, Kenika M, was awesome. She was so attentive of us and our kids and very patient and helpful. She brought out some honey butter croissants for the table and they were so warm and delicious. I had the New Orleans Pasta which has shrimp, chicken, and sausage which was awesome with the Cajun flavored Alfredo sauce. I had the limited addition Strawberry Paradise Punch but it was blah. You can't taste any vodka or anything else. Was more lunch a regular strawberry fruit punch so I don't recommend as it would be a waste. I tried their painkiller cocktail and found it not as alcoholic as others claim. It was also very sweet and the liquid was very thick? Not sure what they actually put in there?! Still, it looked very pleasant, and I enjoyed licking the toasted coconut shavings from the side of the glass. We tried the spinach dip as our appetizer - the tortillas were crisp and fresh. We found the dip to be lacking in flavour, it was so simple, ie like just steamed spinach mixed in a runny microwaved American cheese. We were disappointed. My husband had the combo of chicken tenders and grilled shrimp and side of Broccoli and cheese bake and fries. The broccoli side was awful....soggy, overcooked, lack luster broccoli pieces with melted American yellow cheese slapped on the top, bake? How so? I don't think so. Inedible. I sampled the ribs and fried shrimp combo with a house side salad and the dreaded broccoli above.
