I went yesterday expecting to have my regular hygienist, Kathy, only to find she no longer works on Mondays. When I tell you I was completely freaking out inside at the thought of seeing someone new...well, I was freaking out. I was also irritated they didn't let me know about the change so I could have rescheduled with Kathy on a different day. Larhonda was my hygienist yesterday, and I just can't say enough about her. She was gentle, kind, and she empathized with me that Kathy wasn't there. She got me all the comforts I usually need to get through a cleaning - a soft blanket, nitrous, and a neck pillow (I'm a baby about these things, what can I say). She was very reassuring and customer service skills were just off the charts. So in hindsight, this situation actually worked out well. Now I have two kind hygienists at this practice, instead of just one. Larhonda is an excellent addition, and I'll look forward to seeing her again. She's lovely. All the more reason I will remain loyal to this practice and continue to recommend them to people like me, who have severe anxiety over dental visits. I was fitted MULTIPLE times on different days and as someone who goes to college in Macon, I had to make the 1 hour and a half drive to come in. I was exposed to unnecessary amounts of radiation from the x-rays that had to be retaken every single time I came which was a total of 5 times. Not to mention, one of the staff members messed up the impression so I had to come in AGAIN. After paying almost $2,000 for a crown I did NOT receive, I had to pay to get my wisdom teeth pulled out in order to get the crown. Why wasn't I told this before paying $2k when the Dr had seen my x-rays? They just care about money here and I would save myself the headache and money and not come here.
