Ok it's Wednesday 8/12/26. I am here in area with family. This was my 3rd visit to Lila's. The…read morefirst was maybe 6+months ago. Twice in this past week. 1. In response to the other recent review. The pricing is not really more than SB. (Black card holder here fyi) especially when you consider their rural location 2. In that regard. It was pretty darn "snobbish/elitist" attitude. There are plenty of folks in this area that like coffee & tea & would probably much prefer to support a local business owner than some large corporation that definitely does not care about the workers or the customers. 3. Onto my personal thoughts regards the coffee. I do like their coffee. I've only done iced & blended (more in the blended in moment) I don't like super sweet coffee and I usually request half the syrup a/flavors & add an additional shot. All what I did today. Coffee was great. Good flavor could still taste the coffee. It was iced with oat milk. Service was fast friendly & confirmed my requests. The space actually does have tables in the back. I do believe in my first visit. Few months back there where people back there chatting & having their drinks. Only caveat I'd have is cushion on the bench in the front would be great & easier my old butt bones. Lol. Again I will be back. Another note. Currently they have "summer hours" so they may actually be open till 3 during the week. But with school & fall kicking in they may go back to the posted hours here on yelp. Keep up the good work folks at Lila's. It's nice to not have to go to Livingston to get a good "fancy" coffee. Now I'll have to try your "reg" coffe to truly see how good your roaster you use for your coffee beans. (Which btw looks to be another independent business!) Oh and regards the blended coffee. I had that yesterday & it was not as "smooth" as a SB frappe. But was still good flavor and since I add shots there was left over in the blender & the lady gave me the extra after I requested. (Something some SB stores won't do ugh)

They have all of their product stacked on metal shelving as soon as you walk in. That's where the tables should be and put the shelving in the back. Don't see this place making it in little town Onalaska. Pretty poor town and folks living there can't afford it!

It's a family business down to the china the meals are served on. The tea room is beautifully kept and inviting. Loved the sampler lunch with pimento cheese, chicken salad and cucumber dill sandwiches and great tomato basil soup too. Next time I will make sure to save room for dessert as well. I had iced tea but they had a very nice selection of Ahmad tea for hot tea. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely and even arranged a comfy little place next to our table for my friends baby boy to lie and play on while we ate. We enjoyed browsing the cute gift shop in the front of the building as well. Such a nice place to enjoy lunch and I look forward to going back!

This is the first time it has been used as a gift shop and tea room. Everything is authentic down to the antique plates, Silverware and stemware. Warm and cozy it's got country charm everywhere. Once you get to the back Tea Room you'll be given a simple menu to choose from and nothing on it is less than delicious. The hot tomato basil soup was served in a teacup. So cute!! With a generous portion of quiche for my main course, the side dish stole the show. The best broccoli salad I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping by for a nibble and a shop. I would also recommend the peach tea and buttermilk pie. The menu may change as they repair their food fresh daily. You won't find food processors here, it's all done by hand with love.
