We have lived in Livingston a year and finally got around to having dinner at Katie's! The food…read moreexceeded our expectations and so did the service. We started with an old fashioned, ginger beer, truffle parmesan fries and brisket bombs. The drinks and appetizer were outstanding! Everyone needs to try their brisket bombs!! They melt in your mouth. Very generous portion of truffle Parmesan fries that we took home and enjoyed the next day! My husband's steak was well marbled and cooked to perfection. He was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the steak. Super tender and well seasoned! Salmon was fresh with a yummy sauce. For dessert we had creme brûlée. It was some of the best and we order it everywhere we go. You can't go wrong with Katie's! Highly recommend.

Rating purely based on the cookies brought home to me. These cookies were surprisingly…read morescrumptious! They are dense and chewy cookies (my favorite type!) and also thick. :D Biscoff cookie (4.5/5)-- this one made me a fan! The cookie was sweet with pockets of Biscoff spread inside. Great for any Biscoff lover! The quality control isn't the best though, as the second time I had the cookie, it was dry and crumbly. If the cookie is usually dry like that, it would be more of a 3/5. I would risk another try though! Cookies and cream (4/5)-- this one was a good cookie too, capturing all the essence of an Oreo flavor. It didn't stand out in uniqueness but it was yummy :) this one was a little harder and crumblier than the Biscoff cookie, but now I wonder if it was just old or dried out... Pistachio brittle/toffee cookie (3/5)-- wasn't a fan of this one, as the taste was a bit off (either a little bitter or maybe artificial tasting?) and the brittle chunks were super hard, super sweet , and super sticky (like butterfinger filling but less melty!). The chunks were tasty (and veryyy sweet), but I had to pick them out and eat the separately since it didn't pair well with the cookie texture for me. MT says the service has always been nice, and they seemed really happy when he bought whole load of cookies, hehe~ Katie's Cafe is one of the go-to spots for his lunches out there!

It's a family business down to the china the meals are served on. The tea room is beautifully kept and inviting. Loved the sampler lunch with pimento cheese, chicken salad and cucumber dill sandwiches and great tomato basil soup too. Next time I will make sure to save room for dessert as well. I had iced tea but they had a very nice selection of Ahmad tea for hot tea. The owner and staff were absolutely lovely and even arranged a comfy little place next to our table for my friends baby boy to lie and play on while we ate. We enjoyed browsing the cute gift shop in the front of the building as well. Such a nice place to enjoy lunch and I look forward to going back!

This is the first time it has been used as a gift shop and tea room. Everything is authentic down to the antique plates, Silverware and stemware. Warm and cozy it's got country charm everywhere. Once you get to the back Tea Room you'll be given a simple menu to choose from and nothing on it is less than delicious. The hot tomato basil soup was served in a teacup. So cute!! With a generous portion of quiche for my main course, the side dish stole the show. The best broccoli salad I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping by for a nibble and a shop. I would also recommend the peach tea and buttermilk pie. The menu may change as they repair their food fresh daily. You won't find food processors here, it's all done by hand with love.
