Definitely a place for vibes and good drinks. I had a paradise punch and purple rain. Both were good. Purple rain slightly better to my palate. I ordered chicken tenders and fries. Some tenders were on the cusp of being burnt and they're a bit small but okay overall. I would rather try their pizza if I ever come back because one that passed our table looked really good. My fiancé ordered a cider, which was good, and birria tacos. The tacos were not true birria, more like ground beef tacos, but the pickled onion wasn't too pickle-y for him, which was nice. Not much craft selection compared to many other breweries we have been to. There was no game at fenway when we were there so the bar was much quieter than I'm sure it usually is. Cheeky Monkey is SO fun! Such a vibe. It was my second time here. I came after a Red Sox game on a Sunday. It's right outside of Fenway. My party of 4 was able to be sat right away in the bar side. The service was great for it being so busy and packed in the bar. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar. Our bartender was great! He checked in enough and was very pleasant. They have so many options and have mainly pub food. We all got some drinks. They had an awesome watermelon margarita. We got chicken tenders and fries and nachos to share. We also tried the pepperoni pizza. Everything was delicious and decently priced for the portions. What else is awesome is that they have an entire arcade, bowling, ping pong, pool, and darts. It's a whole vibe. Plus, once it gets late enough, they have a DJ and have space for a small dance floor. It's such a fun place to go and enjoy. It's great for groups or couples. We were able to secure an area with tables and couches, which was perfect. I didn't get the chance to play, but they had a bunch of pool tables, which looked like a fun time. Great drinks and great staff! They have pool tables in the back room. The food was pretty good and love the variety of drinks and beers that they have. The UFO Ale was similar to a blue moon more of a wheat ale and the Santa Cosmopolitan was fruity and strong haha. A beer is around $7-8 and drinks are about $11-13 They have The Grinch punch for $32 that is for 2 people. We also had the fried pickles which were really good with the sauce on the side. Fun chill spot to go to after work. Hosted a work event there just this past Tuesday, Nov 19th and everyone had a good time playing pool and ping pong. We ordered comfort food which was pretty alright, buffalo tenders, spinach dip, and bbq meatballs were some of the items. Drinks came out fairly timely due to having a dedicated server. Management was great and checked in a few times to make sure we were doing alright. It's a nice vibe but very casual and regular bar type food, met the expectations. read more

Stopped in for a couple beers and some snacks before a Red Sox game on 5/24. Beers were good, and we thought the boneless wings were tasty. The bar was packed, but we were able to sit down after a party left. We poked at the chicken, paid our bill, and prepared to head out when grabbing our last bites we actually cut the remaining wings in half and noticed that the middle was completely uncooked, pink, and still very raw. Outside was fine, coated with plenty of sauce, but the inside couldn't have been more undercooked. Since we were already checking out we didn't make a big deal out of it, but did notify the business afterwards as we were both concerned and completely grossed out. We received an acknowledgment email from Guest Services at the Bowlero Corp informing us that the Corporate Operations team would respond within 2 business days. Two weeks and one follow up message later we haven't heard anything. TLDR; beers were great, chicken was raw. check your food if it's super busy, and don't expect a response from their customer service team. read more

Came here with my ladies to play some pool after the Red Sox game and was a bit disappointed with our experience. It seemed as though a couple of my girls were racially profiled by the manager because he completely ignored them and then continued to be rude to them when they needed help. This place gets people because of it's location. Behind Fenway, close to colleges and very fitting for that age group. Are they sober enough to really rate this place accurately? Unsure. We were seated and unfortunately the high chair is not the same height as their booths. We could not use it. It's super difficult to have a one year old sit still. We go to so many breweries and usually don't have any problems with them being outfitted to meet the needs of families especially when they have an extensive food menu. We had the chips and cheese. Wish the chips were made on site but the dip was tasty. I had the mac and cheese. It was alright. Nothing impressive. I also had the siracha wings. The back area is much larger with shuffleboard, billiard, and ping-pong tables available to rent by the hour. One Star - Joe Spano Is Ruining Cheeky Monkey As a frequent patron of the Cheeky Monkey Brewing Company, I'm deeply disappointed and frustrated by what this place has become--thanks in large part to one person: Joe Spano. Over the past few months, I've watched Joe repeatedly yell at his staff in front of customers, belittle them, and generally create a toxic atmosphere that makes it impossible to enjoy a meal or a drink in peace. It's not just awkward--it's disturbing. You can see the discomfort on the faces of the employees and guests alike. The once-fun, welcoming environment has turned tense and unpleasant. I've given it a few chances, hoping it was a one-off bad day. But it's only gotten worse. The bullying, the barking of orders, the sheer hostility--this behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. Until management seriously addresses Joe's behavior, I will no longer be returning, and I won't be recommending Cheeky Monkey to anyone. It's a shame to see such a great place fall apart because of one toxic individual. read more

Overall a good experience. We didn't have any trouble getting sat on a Saturday afternoon. They were out of 3/7 of their beers so the flight was of the remaining four. The Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale was delicious, I definitely recommend if you're into the fruity beers with that hint of sweetness. I'm not generally an IPA fan but the double IPA - Harambe's Ghost was pretty good. Food was decent. We got the Nori Fries and Queso Verde which were both good. For our meals, we ordered the Mushroom & Pepperjack Burger and the Katsu Chicken Bao. I was a little disappointed with both. The flavors of the burger didn't really pop. The sauce on the bao was fantastic but the chicken was a thin piece and although very crispy, was very tough. Overall a cool place though and I would come back to probably try other items on the menu. They also have this cool back space area with lots of pool tables, ping pong tables and shuffleboard. I came here yesterday with a group of friends as a part of Santacon Boston. There were Santas everywhere! This brewery is pretty big with lots of tables, two main bar areas, a dance floor, a lounge, shuffleboard, and several billiard tables to entertain yourself with. They have a fairly big and decent beer selection. I personally enjoyed the Downeast Cider. In the spirit of Christmas, they did have various holiday inspired drinks and cocktails. Most of them were good, but one of them which we ordered called the Grinch (basically a margarita bowl) was too sweet and didn't taste like it had any alcohol at all. After talking to our server, he was nice enough to remove it from our tab. For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari, queso verde, nori fries, and hoisin glazed chicken wings. For an entree, we ordered the Monkey Business Burger. The appetizers were good, but the burger was not. I would recommend the wings and nori fries especially. The patties were dry and tough so we couldn't even finish it, For being quite busy, the service was quick and our food came out a lot faster than I expected. The beer menu is limited but we ordered some flights to try the selection. They had a good variety of beer but nothing stood out as being a favorite in our group. We also ordered a few food items: fried pickles, fried calamari, and katsu chicken bao. We food we ordered was okay, decent but nothing spectacular. Service was good and we had no issues. A very good place for craft beers across from the old ballpark. Cheeky Monkey is a popular stop before or after a game at Fenway Park. It of course is good at any time. Go when there's not a game and it will be much less crowded. The beer is why you come but there's food to munch on. It gets packed in here. Pretty hard to get a seat. The best place is at the bar, which is good for small groups and you don't have to wait for a table. A lot of beers are on tap with many cool sounding flavors and names. They have IPAs and stouts. I like the 3 Lansdowne. It's $8 for a pint. This is an East Coast IPA with hints of tangerine. Among the cheapest food options is the fries. It's $6 for a good amount. The other more expensive food options include burgers and pizza. Has few good vegetarian choices. The food options are pretty meaty for the most part. Have a good time here whether or not there's a game. It's actually more enjoyable when there's not. The place will be much easier to get around and service won't be as slow. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening for drinks and some food. The space was completely booked for the next two hours if we wanted a table, but we were lucky to find a few seats by the bar after waiting for a few minutes. It took a bit to flag down a bartender and I can't say they were very friendly or communicative, but given the amount of people, it's understandable they're under a ton of stress. Our food and drinks came out relatively quickly which was great. I wouldn't recommend the popsicle drink though - despite being described as a lemonade based flavor, it tasted strongly of cherry medicine. The popsicle made it a little better, but honestly, I would steer clear of this drink. The food was great for its price and tasted great. I loved the fries and pickles in particular - the chicken also had a really unique flavor. The Asian twist on that and the fries was really nice as well - great appetizers! Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back to try their other drinks and dishes. I'd definitely get a reservation though as I'd love to sit and enjoy myself in the comfort of my own booth! read more

Food was typical, very basic bar food. They push their brewery made beer on their menu, and never offered their other brand name stuff. Didn't figure it out until after our first drink. Wasn't a fan of the brewery beers we tried and their brand name draft was pretty bad, too (Fiddlehead -- definitely didn't taste like a Fiddlehead -- not fresh, maybe?), but we drank it because it was so busy and figured it wasn't the place to complain. You take what you can get type of bar. Friendly, attentive staff, though, saved the experience. read more

If you're looking for fun vibes, with lots of options I highly recommend this place. It would be great for a group, or even a date night. I came here for a corporate happy hour, and everyone had a great time! The options from the bar are endless, and they have a full stack. I ended up sticking with espresso martinis for the night, and they did not disappoint. I do wish that the bartenders were more friendly, they were not very warm which impacted my experience. Every time I went for a drink or request, the bartender seemed as if I was a burden. However, the remainder of the night was filled with fun - they have a huge section for shuffleboard ($16/hr during the week), ping pong, and pool. The games were so fun and there were plenty of tables for everyone. We did come during the week, so there was no wait for anything. The menu has several options, but we only stuck around for some fries during the happy hour. They were very good and crispy, and seemed to be enjoyed by most. Went to this bar after a concert with two of my friends. As we came to the door we went to walk in and two men stopped us asking for IDS. We made a joke saying oh we thought u guys were just hanging out hahaha. Then one said that one of our friends (our designated driver) was cutoff for being to drunk. The security guard ripped up my friend's REAL ID last night, she recently moved to South Carolina and just received her updated license from the dmv. She needs this is in order to fly home, but we are now scrambling to find a different way to verify her identity at the airport. The security guards at cheeky money said we would never be allowed in and said that fake ID's scan too without willing to double check. The security guards were yelling and argued with us but quieted down the second the police showed up and they gave it back after verifying that it was in fact real. I would never recommend this place for the way they treat their patrons. I am a manager at an English pub in downtown Boston and would be sick to hear about this reaction from a self righteous bouncer with no real power. read more
