Great find for trivia and good food on a Wednesday night! The trivia happens downstairs and it gets packed so best to get there early. We got there just in time and they sat us at one of the reserved tables till 8 then we had to go upstairs. But since it's on an app you can still play upstairs- it's not the same but it's something. The rounds each have a theme and all questions are around that theme. It's fun! The Quizmaster was great. At one point our team was tied for first place - so exciting!! However the last round killed us lol! I ordered the Greek salad with salmon and it was really good - salmon was cooked perfect and went well with the salad. Others ordered pizza which looked good. The hubs ordered shepherds pie which was really good - super flavorful and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious! Really good. Wasn't expecting the food to be so good! We were in a group and service was good. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks! We're definitely coming back here again and hope to crush trivia next time!

The entrance to Garrison House can be a little confusing at first -- if you're facing the big bay windows, just use the door to the right. Once inside, the vibe is warm and welcoming. I went during brunch and appreciated the cozy booth seating, and I also noticed they have a bar area, which gives the space some versatility. Even though I'm not really a "brunch person," my guest is, and I liked that I could choose from either the brunch or lunch menu. It's nice not to feel boxed into one set of offerings. I'm also big on mocktails, so I decided to take a gamble on a drink (can't remember the name or ingredients) -- and it turned out to be safely tasty. I'd definitely order it again. For food, I had the huevos rancheros. The portion hit that sweet spot of filling yet light, leaving me satisfied without being overstuffed. My guest went with avocado toast topped with poached eggs and enjoyed their dish as well. Service was solid throughout -- we stayed long enough that servers changed, and everything stayed consistent. Overall, a cozy spot with thoughtful options and good execution. I'd return, especially to explore the dinner menu next time.

What is really awesome about this place is the atmosphere and the extensive selection of craft beers. This is indeed a great place to stop by for a happy hour. My low score relates to the bartender's ability to pour beer. I don't mind play more craft beer, but I'd like to get a full glass when I order it. The pictures attached what I got on my $17 of Fiddlehead.

Sitting at the bar, my spot to grab a beer or cocktail before dinner at one of the neighborhood's restaurants. Great selection of draft beers on their rotating menu. Casual, laid back atmosphere.

Just a cool dollar bill. Didn't take any more pictures that night. What a shame

Local watering hole with a wide range of guests sitting at the bar. Easy to establish conversations with all patrons and staff. Their old fashioned drink was on point but even more surprisingly, the food was excellent. The chicken wrap was my favorite as the chicken had been cooked into very thin and tasty strips (almost like a pate). Large draft beer selection too!

Food is decent and service was really good. Our server Lara was fantastic! We got the Thai chili wings, burrata salad and the burger - all were decent. The nachos, the hummus wrap and the chicken sandwich were a tad disappointing.

Great place to catch a bite. Sat downstairs on a Friday evening. Warm and inviting. Very friendly staff. We had pretzel bites for an app. Yummy. Entree choices were roasted chicken, fried chicken, sandwich, and steak freight. Everyone agreed that they would order it again. Very tasty. Was not overly priced. We would definitely visit again.

They do both reservations and walk-ins but it's safer to make a reservation ahead if you can. It's pretty easy to make one as well; we only booked a day ahead for a Friday night. Amazing first impressions as well. They make a tiny space work perfectly; I did not feel claustrophobic at all even with full house. They have really cute decors and the space is decorated well. They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Their apple pie old fashioned has an interesting aftertaste in a good way. The bartender and the server were attentive and friendly as well. I had a great time and will definitely be coming back. -9.1/10

As their collection grew, most of their retired vehicles were stored in the Carriage House on their estate in Brookline. In 1927, the Anderson family opened their collection for tours and, upon Isabel's death in 1948, she bequeathed her estate and automobiles to the town of Brookline with the stipulation that both be entrusted to a non-profit organization for the public. Today, the Larz Anderson Auto Museum features rotating exhibits on the ground floor and select vehicles from the museum's permanent collection on the lower level. It's a small collection, with only about 10-12 vehicles on loan from others on display in the rotating exhibits and 16 vehicles (4 of which still run and drive) from permanent collection on display at any given time. At the time of this review in September 2024, the current rotating exhibit features several post-World War II vehicles from the US and Europe, along with a small display of print and television advertising campaigns. Given the size of the museum, you can easily view the collection without rushing in about an hour. The museum hosts events on its vast lawn during the spring, summer and fall, including Cars & Coffee Boston gatherings that are open to all makes and models and other themed events that cater to specific genres of automobiles and motorcycles, including European, American, custom, Japanese tuner, alternative fuels, trucks, hot rods, and motorcycles. The museum also hosts occasional track days at Palmer Motorsports Park. Check the museum's website (https://www.larzanderson.org/) for more information. PRO TIP: The museum and its lawn are also available for rent to host private events, such as weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, and corporate team building events with indoor capacity of 150 for a standing cocktail style reception or up to 100 for a formal seated dinner.

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer.
