My husband found this place and surprised me with a date night here. We love anywhere that has outside seating by the water, so we were excited to discover this place! He made us reservations since it was a Friday evening, but there was plenty of seating available when we arrived. We were promptly seated on the lower deck by the water and the view was lovely. Our waitress was extremely friendly and offered great menu suggestions. We both ordered a couple of drinks and the chicken wings and tenders. I was pleasantly surprised that my chicken tenders were homemade and hand-breaded. My husband enjoyed his wings as well. Went off season during the week. This place would still be a great spot to visit in the off season, folks! In the fall, the water is still beautiful and there is a ton of covered and uncovered outdoor seating! Plus, there's 2 levels of indoor seating. Great spot for fall parties and family gatherings, too. I can't say enough about the beautiful view at the marina. The food had great sized portions and was pretty good! Ambience would be a 5, Cheers sits at the near end of a peninsula with a beautiful view of the hills of Blount County at a bend of Fort Loudon Lake. My wife and I ambled in on a Sunday afternoon and sat on the upper deck. We sat outside fully covered and very comfortable. Piped into the space was Island music so a really fun venue. We had excellent service so that would be a 5. The dishes were brought out piping hot as well. The food was more mixed as my wife ordered the fish tacos, the Mahi Mahi with a pineapple chutney, the fish was a little dry and the chutney needed more flavor, but the side of fried okra was perfect, so Okra 5 tacos 3 I had the Poppin' Shrimp which I would rate a 4 the homemade Cocktail sauce needed more horseradish, but the dish was crispy and I liked it. The star of the night were the French Fries, crisp and fried and beer battered by my guess they were perfect and highly recommended so a clear 5. Arrived at Cheers for lunch at about 1:45pm on a Tuesday afternoon, there was only one other group there, table of 5 on patio. We ordered 2 sodas and a flatbread pizza to share. It took nearly one hour to get our food! We asked the waitress where our food was after 1/2 hour and she unapologetically said "it's in the oven". No apology, nothing! This place has some great views from both its outside venues, the restaurant and the tiki bar. My wife and I chose the Tiki Bar. We sat right on the balcony edge, and had a great view of the marina. We're entertained by watching all of the boaters come and go. Dawn, the bartender/server took great care of us. Their draught beer selection is limited, but I was satisfied with a Sam Adams. I tried the traditional fish and chips. The food took an unusually long time to arrive. We weren't in any hurry, so it wasn't a big deal. My meal was very good. The fish was tender and not overly breaded. The seasoned fries were a good compliment. The portion size was good too. We enjoyed the laid back and relaxing atmosphere, and the excellent service and conversation provided by Dawn. It's definitely somewhere we plan on returning too. read more

This place very casual and very much about the lake life so lots of locals (so I felt like I stood out in jeans). But these girls were so friendly and accommodating! I got the peel and eat shrimp. Potooned to the dock and found limited slips to park. Maybe 8 slips for parking boats. Definitely a challenge and the slips are fairly short. Lots of logs floating in the marina. We found plenty of seating outside looking over the marina. The waitress was attentive in order taking. She was using a tablet which slowed the ordering process. The old pen and paper method would have been easier. Once the food arrived it was approximately half right and some orders were missing. Our waitress looked flustered and overwhelmed. I ordered traditional buffalo wings that were cooked to a crispy doneness. I found the buffalo sauce to be weak and no real flavor. The side of ranch was barely enough to cover two wings. My wife had the keto cheeseburger with lettuce wrapped. The lettuce was wilted and had orange marks as if was old lettuce. She said the burger was average at best. The fries were actually the star of the dish. Crispy and seasoned well. Now time to check out with our party and we asked prior to ordering to have separate checks. Now here comes the order tablet and modern technology and its a nightmare to split tickets. After 3 different tries it finally got settled out. Overall an "okay" experience. We came on a Friday night and I'm not sure if they only have live music on the weekends or not - it was a bit loud for my preference, but it was also Friday night at a bar & grill. The location was all they really had going for it. the flavors were more like frozen french fries and pre done meals. My daughter got the cheddar, bacon french fries. Did I say frozen french fries? If you were hoping for crispy fluffy french fries and gooey cheese you would be very sad. The cheese was petrified on the french fries. No string, gooey cheese here. If you picked up one french fry you picked up the whole plate. My husband got their boneless chicken wings. The flavor was fine, but like I said it tasted like frozen chicken nuggets. The place has a cool vibe and includes a deck by the water and a great upstairs bar / rec room inside. Food was ok, so-so. Drinks were watery and expensive. Honestly, nothing impressive or remarkable. The kid burger was the value meal--I can't recall price but it was quite affordable and I think it was essentially an adult burger. I could tell she felt very uncomfortable from the way the manager was speaking down to her and her employees. This is by far the best food I've ever had at a Marina, and I have been to many Marina restaurants on Norris. Have eaten here at least five times and am more impressed every single time. Staff is so wonderful and Chelsea may be the best server I've ever known. Would recommend this place to eat over any other restaurant!! It's that good. Patio is amazing and cocktails are delicious.
