The inside is pretty dark, and the bar is small, and outdoor seating is also sparse, so don't go with a large group, but this place is reality nice on a beautiful day. The view is so beautiful. There are some vendors on the weekends, and there are a lot of smokers that frequent this bar- but it is a dive bar with a fantastic view. Service is great and drinks are cheap! I had a fat tire beer. It is a light Belgium beer that was fresh with an excellent carbonation system. The bartender was personable and friendly. We were looking for a good place to relax and have a beer. From the outside, it's not much to look at and we almost didn't go in. I'm so glad that we did! There is a pool table and an open room when you first walk in. The bar is towards the back. It's a large wrap around bar. There is a window so you can see the ocean outside. There aren't any table inside that I could see. There are lots of table on a back deck area that also have a long rail with high top seating where you can look out over the water! It was beautiful. I bet it's a great place to check out the sunset. The beer list is great. It's on a large board on the wall where it is easy to see and read. The bartender was so nice. She made you feel like you were a regular. We didn't eat so I have to go back and check Out the food. This out of the way find is a keeper! There is plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable. And you can bring your dog on the back deck. Yay! read more

Was visiting family on Wilmington Island and Cheers to you is in walking distance. It's behind the Publix grocery store. They don't serve food but have popcorn for patrons to snack on. The place is divey and has a beautiful view of the marina. Joey, Shannon, and Jen are great bartenders!! They will treat you right with cheap drinks and nice pours. I miss them already. cheers to you is relatively new to Wilmington Island. They do have a nice view of the marsh so they could have sunset parties like they used to have when the old light ship was still open. It's beautiful to watch the sunset go down we used to say from the time it hit the top of the trees till the sunset. It was exactly 25 seconds. I've been to my share of 'dive bars' before, but Cheers gives a whole new meaning to the name. In the most wonderful way, this was the MOST divey bar I've ever seen in my life. On recommendation from our boat captains (from Bull River Cruises) we walked over to the bar next door for some afternoon deck drinking. We were even warned that the deck might fall off while we're on it! Walking into the dark dingy dive, we instantly went onto the deck and soaked up space on their somewhat bouncy porch, which overlooked the marina and the water - looking down there's a marsh and my thoughts briefly drifted to questioning the structural integrity of the whole contraption. Anyways, drinks in hand, we listened to music, chatted, and ate boiled peanuts and popcorn for a solid 3 hours on that deck. The other patrons were vaguely amused by us, they were obviously regulars here, and we were clearly not. Regardless of this fact, everyone was super friendly and nice! Most of our party was drinking beer, but after seeing a Twisted Tea sign adorning their wall, I ordered myself one of those - but they didn't have any. The bartender made some sort of concoction which tasted EXACTLY like a Twisted Tea, and a few of us happily slurped them up! *Total aside. If anyone ever goes here and meets a man named Rudy, please buy him a beer! During the dancing-on-the-deck portion of our time here, my wallet flipped over the side of the porch and promptly landed in the marsh directly below us. It was about a 2 story drop and my heart fell almost that distance as it dropped into my stomach. I went inside - unsure of what to do, and explained the problem to the bartender, thinking I would be able to get some sort of bucket/fishing wire contraption to get it back. Lo and behold - a wonderful patron (Rudy!) gallantly trekked into the marsh and retrieved my wallet. He even apologized for it being covered with Georgia mud! Much to my dismay, he only let me buy him one beer! Needless to say, this bar is good people. read more

Great little place where locals hang out overlooking the water on Wilmington Island. We anchored in Turner Creek and wandered into this place. They don't serve food, but the popcorn is good. We talked to a few folks and they were all like "how did you find this place?" No one but locals usually goes there and you could tell that from the bar. The girl running the bar kept the drinks coming and everyone was very friendly. Drinks were good and cheap. Good place to go if you want to watch the sunset from the deck or play pool inside. You've never been to a dive bar until you've been to Cheers. I was lucky enough to end up at this bar with a few friends one night. We shut the place down and then some, and had a great time. The bartender was awesome and treated us like friends and the bar's "backyard" is on the water. We watched raccoons sneak onto docked boats while drinking our beers. Not your typical Savannah bar view. The bar has a pool table and a juke box... I don't think there is much else you could ask for but there were also free burgers prepared when we walked in. I don't know if it was a special occasion, or if that's the norm. Pretty cool to have free food at a bar, though. This bar is what you would call "off the beaten path", but if you are feeling adventurous, check it out. Cheers! read more

This bar is AWESOME! Cheapest bar tab of my LIFE. Amazing waterfront view of the sunset, cool bar tenders, very laid-back and cozy. Fireplace and complimentary food makes it feel homey. Really good mix of people. Cheers is a total dive AND a hidden gem, for sure. read more
