Service started good but then they got busy and he didn't ever come back to check on us much. I'm not sure why their server was waiting on 2 completely different ends of the restaurant. The cocktail was super weak (beer probably would have had more ABV %). The burger was delicious so that was the only saving grace (there is an upcharge for cheese and bacon). They didn't give us chips with the burger like they were supposed to. We asked for a side of cheese grits and they gave us that Instead of the chips but we were charged for it. If you like watching sports they have a ton of large TVs with sports on and a lot of fans.

Note on wait-times - Fri/Sat. Nights.. .. U gonna wait! ;/ This place too popular, sitting on Talahi Island off Bull River. Provide comfortable waiting area, with cushioned couches and comfy deck chairs, near entrance, to chill and hang w locals. Inside dining area very active and busy, tons o locals and Savannah visitors for sure; Bar area slightly more relaxed, with three cute ones in the bar tab; Local cover band (ok) plays most Fri/Sat nights I thinks. The enchanting Bloody Mary hit the Spot, for the mood :) Go fer if haven't had one in awhile, Thank me lata.. Food is excellent- Always gets the Fried Oyster Platter (make sure to drench w TX Pete) w Cheez Grits & Tomato Salad.. ;) Anything on the menu rox.. mahi, Fried oysters, flounder.. Locals reco the crab legs and boils of course

Woah! What I hidden gem in Bryan County. Similar to the Wyld, but much more seating and options when it gets chilly (or so it looks). Tons of options for food, which is great for groups of people with different taste. The service is lovely, you can tell management does a good job training staff. Parking can be tricky, but it looks like you can park across the strew in the marina parking lot. My fav place to sit is at the bar for better views, but any seat is a good seat.

Low Country Boil

We had the low country boil for two. It was more than enough for two as we took half home and had another meal of it. The shrimp and sausage were great. The corn and potatoes were also quite good. It was a quiet lunch with no crowd there.

Fried Flounder Dinner for 2

Husband and I stopped here on our way from Tybee Beach. When we arrived, only a handful of people were in the patio area, but by the time we left it was getting crowded. We ordered the Flounder for 2 dinner and half of it was really good. The fish and coleslaw were great, but the hush puppies and grits were a huge NO!! The waiter was very attentive. For first timers like us, the hostess area is in front of the patio. We walked up the ramp and stood by the bar for a few minutes before someone told us to go down to the front.

Staff was friendly, the roof was being worked on and things were flying everywhere. They did let us move because we had a larger party. Ordered the low country boil, the potatoes had a weird texture and the food was overseasoned.

The food was okay-nothing outstandingly great. It was a cold day we ventured in for lunch-not many patrons except the ones at the bar. It would be a much more fun to be out on the patio, maybe for a warmer day. The sausage today in the Low Country Boil tasted like kielbasa.

Real simple. This place next to my favorite icecream spot! Went here for dinner to avoid trynna find something open late.! We ordered the shrimp and fries! Always a go to back in Atalanta so why not! Food was fried well and delicious! Good live music and the Olympics playing! No complaints !

Ever since the light ship closed there wasn't a place you could go for a cocktail and watch the sunset over the trees. I would recommend it highly to anyone unwell island.

If I could give it a 0 I would…read more I had a very disturbing experience at The Bar Bar. My wife and I came in expecting a normal night out, but from the moment we walked in, something felt off. We called ahead and got no real acknowledgment, and when we arrived, no one greeted us or even looked our way. We ended up seating ourselves, and still--nothing. No service, no eye contact, no basic hospitality. What made it even more uncomfortable was that we appeared to be the only Black couple in the entire place, and the lack of acknowledgment made us feel completely unwelcome. It honestly felt like stepping back into a time where people were judged and ignored based on how they looked. That's not a feeling anyone should experience anywhere in 2026. We didn't cause a scene--we simply got up and left. But the experience stuck with us. Businesses should be places where everyone feels respected and acknowledged, regardless of who they are. I hope this place takes a serious look at how they treat ALL customers, because no one deserves to feel invisible or uncomfortable just for walking through the door.
