The food was great but more important, Emily was amazing! Two elderly friends, my neighbor and I, were taken care of by Emily. She is one of the sweetest people I've ever run into. We've been coming here for years, usually two to three times a year. We only get salads and occasionally cheesecake and they're usually delicious. We've tried a few of their non salad meals over the years and didn't enjoy them. We get the glazed walnut salad and substitute blue cheese instead of feta. Today the blue cheese wasn't very blue cheesy and one of our salads was what their half orders usually are - or used to be. It was weird since we got the same salads. This wasn't our best visit but we will try again at some point since usually their salads are amazing. read more

Love the business backstory and growth. The current location at the Historic Pine Street School building is the only location I've dined at. Our server Ashley (southern charm) was amazing! She's attentive, professional, kind and has experience. There's a full bar so order your hearts desire. Ambiance is key here and they've utilized the space well. There are different types of live music so check their social sites and calendar. Had the clam chowder which was really filling, great flavor and perfect for a chilly evening. There is delicious homemade bread with dipping oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Don't get too full on this like I did! Ordered the jumbo prawns and fries. For me, I could have went with half the amount of breading. The fries were ok, nothing to write home about. Bathrooms are clean and the giant fish tank upon entrance sets the mood. Overall this is a great place to dine, take a business client or date. Just the building alone and to be in the presence of the ghosts past is exciting! This building is on the Historical Places Register. I look forward to returning. read more

Cheesecakes Unlimited was a winner for our wedding rehearsal dinner. April the event coordinator made this event a success. She was very accommodating and flexible in providing a buffet menu to choose from for our guests. The venue had low lighting that gave the restaurant a delightful, charming ambience. The whole upstairs loft was reserved for our dinner while we enjoyed live music from downstairs. The food was delicious and plenty of it for our guests. Just had a fantastic lunch here today!! The Turkey soup was incredible and the blackberry walnut salad was amazing. Biggest blackberries I've seen in forever! The portions are huge and I was lucky to bring some home for dinner tonight! They were really busy but wow, everyone was so on point, service was spot on and huge kuddos to Stephanie for always giving great service with a smile! Take out is shrinking... ordered a Shrimp Pine Nut, NO CHEESE and what was received looked more like a half order than a full order. I hate it when portions get smaller so they can keep the price the same... its not fooling anyone. Increase the price so I know what I will be getting when I place an order. read more

Went here with some friends this week. The staff is great. Our server was fantastic and the young man at the front was awesome. Wish the food had been good. One of my friends and I had salads. My salad tasted like it sat in the fridge for a week. The lettuce was less than fresh and the veggies tasted stale. The chicken was so so if you could find it. 19.00 for a few pieces of chicken and some wilted black lettuce and stale veggies. The dressing was watered down and had no taste. My friends salad was full of sun dried tomatoes and feta and A little chicken. She left half of her salad and I left most of mine. All in all it was a terrible eating experience and I won't be back. Went last night last night. Service was mid but the food was pretty good. I got the pork chop and it was decent, my friend got the feta chicken salad and she loved it. I came here for happy hour with some friends. The host was friendly and nice. I sat at the bar while waiting. The male bartender ignored me for a good 10-15 mins before I was even greeted. I know there was a bigger part at the end of the bar but I didn't even get served a water till 15 mins after later when the manager I suppose greeted me. The male bartender only came and talk to me when my friends showed up because they were regulars. Drinks are meh. I got the salad and it was good but they forgot the chicken / added very little chicken to my salad. Not worth the price. Would probably not come back. read more

We arrived at noon and the restaurant was already 60% full. We decided to order the mushroom appetizer and salads for our main course. The mushroom appetizer was outstanding - the best selection we made. The salads came out with dressing on the side so we could decide how much we wanted on our salad. The vegetables in the salad was fresh, crisp and clean. We ordered a full salad, but after the appetizer, we could only eat half. We took the rest home for our dinner that night. What a disappointment at lunch today. Meeting a friend, I was greeted by a maskless host. Then I observed none of the wait staff nor bartender were wearing masks. But Cheesecakes internet information says "masks are required". This made no sense so I asked my server why none of the employees were required to wear masks. Her response was that the wearing of masks is a mandate, but not the law. But the State of California Department of Public Health disagrees, stating, " Masks are required when working in any space visited by members of the public". I am immunocompromised & also high risk due to age. During this time of COVID-19, I do not appreciate Cheesecakes total lack of regard for my health or any other customer. I will not be returning until Cheesecakes follows the State's rules. What a shame as I have enjoyed Cheescakes since they were located next door to Maxwells, in the mid-1990s. Actually went to eat at the chinese restaurant close by but it was closed with a note on the door. So we decided to try Cheesecakes Unlimited. We went in and asked to view a lunch menu. Entrees sounded good and the prices were reasonable. We were seated right away in a pleasant spot around the center area. We were served bread and water in a large chilled bottle with glasses filled with ice. Very nice cloth napkins wrapped the silverware tightly. The bread offered was a delicious crusty french bread. With no rush a waitress took our orders. My order of deep fried shrimp with fries was amazingly the best I've ever had. My wife had a burger that had a nice grilled flavor. Salads were nice with a nice blue cheese dressing. After the waitress found out it was our anniversary, she gifted us with a big wedge of cheese cake. Excellent food, service and a reasonable price for a nice eating experiance.!!! read more

I had Chicken Fettuccini. It was bland and the chicken very dry and the sauce was runny. I thought maybe I was too critical. I should have sent it back for something else. I was with a big party and one of the last to get served. The servers were good. The food not so much. I brought it home and my son ate my leftovers and he said this was terrible. Momma had the chicken feta salad, she swapped out the dressing for the oregano vin and pesto aioli which are featured with the salad w/ the smoked salmon. I had the glazed walnut salad w/ chicken and orange vin and sundried tomatoes. We shared a piece of almond cheesecake. Everything was fantastic but, especially that mouth-watering cheesecake. I've ordered burger (Angus) and California Chicken as well as the steak and each time it was cooked to perfection. The servers are very friendly and efficient making our every visit very relaxing. My wife took me there for my 70th birthday on the recommendation from some friends. The place is very clean and the staff excellent. I ordered the grilled salmon with red potatoes and asparagus. Yum!
