More than I expected. I wasn't expecting a meal worth remembering. Rather, I was hoping for something that would satisfy my family for a late night meal after a long day of driving down I-5. What we got was a pleasant location, generous wine pours, and a delightful range of dining offerings. The place looked nice but we were seated in the kinda noisy bar/entry area which wasn't the most elegant vibe. When we first sat down the blonde hostess (I couldn't see her name tag) set the menus down and I picked one up. She gave me the stink eye and pulled the menu out of my hands and slid it to someone else, giving me a child's menu instead, which I'm too old for. We had to ask her for another adult menu. The food was actually great, we split the og chicken. The Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were amazing. 10/10. The flavor of the chicken was good but it was a little dry but not too bad. I don't know what the deal with this hostess was, I felt like she kept giving me the stink eye during my meal, and I don't know why she wasn't more polite about the menu thing. Mosaic is a nice restaurant in the heart of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. We dined there on a very busy Saturday night. The ambiance is pleasant and upscale. We enjoyed the Mosaic Burger with rosemary fries, the OG Chicken and Old Fashioned cocktails. Then we headed over just steps away to the Glowing Wild lantern show across the Sundial Bridge. Super cute restaurant inside Turtle Bay!! They have nice outdoor seating as well! We decided to sit inside since it was a little warm today! Service was great! I believe her name was Jessica...she was not only our server, she was also the bartender for other guests! Food was super delicious! The fries were a must!!! My faughter added Parmesan and it was that much better!! We also got their Brazilian brisket pizza that was so delicious! I really don't think they put enough meat...each piece only had a sliver of meat, but other than that it was so good! We got the peppers ok the side which was great! We had an excellent meal last night at Mosaic. We were driving into Redding and found limited options for our late arrival just after 10pm. My friend called ahead to confirm they would be open and made a reservation. Our wonderful server Ariel unfortunately informed us that the back of the kitchen had closed and only salads and pizzas were available. We were crushed as we both had our hearts said on the ribeye. When we expressed our disappointment she said she would go speak to the manager. Lo and behold they reopened the kitchen and served us a couple of the best dry aged ribeyes we'd ever had. The brussel sprouts were equally amazing along with the cornbread. I would definitely recommend giving this place a shot. read more

Food is always excellent but what stands out is the bartender Lee. I stay at the adjoining hotel frequently and from my first stay onward Lee remembered my name, what I drink, and always has had the best recommendations on what to try on the menu at any given time. Went there twice while staying nearby hotel for long-weekend trip to Lassen National Park. The whole vibe of the place mirror the upward feeling of the city and every staff looks joyfully full of hopes. Really like led the steak salad and fried sea bass, fresh and juicy even though I ordered the steak as well done. We came here on a weekend day in the late afternoon. There was one large party outside and like 3-4 smaller tables outside. The service was very slow. It took about 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order. Then it took another 20-30 minutes for us to get our food. At one point, I realized our plate of salmon was just sitting there. When one of the cooks in the back asked one of the waiters to help with the effort, she ignored him and continued wiping the utensils. That was pretty annoying. Our actual waiter on the other hand was helping with taking stock of things and it just seemed like there was not enough staff. When the pizza was supposed to take another 5 minutes after we had gotten our salmon plate, we told them we had waited almost 40 minutes and no longer wanted the pizza. They definitely can work on the logistics of this place better. Sadly the salmon was delicious but the experience and service left a sour taste. read more

Another Excellent Dinner all around!!! The service was excellent. We had Alex as our server and he did a great job. The food was fantastic. This time we started with a Vanilla Kiss, it is a drink that can be made with or without Alcohol. It was Outstanding!!!!! We ordered both a Margarita Pizza and a pizza with Peaches. Service was good but the food was slow (I think they had a big party somewhere we couldn't see, but they didn't tell us which was frustrating). Service was great, very friendly. I got the Apple Pie Martini, which had caramel and sugar on the rim, it was delicious. The Stuffed French Toast was a bit disappointing, had I seen pictures beforehand I think I would have skipped it. It was good, the crunch on the outside and the ube whipped cream were great. But was such a small serving that it wasn't filling, which you need when they serve you a strong drink but the food doesn't come for over half an hour, especially for the price. I've enjoyed Mosaic before, which is why I chose it for brunch with my daughter. I ordered the cheddar biscuit eggs Benedict, and it arrived looking like it was rushed off the line. I can overlook presentation, but only if the flavors deliver. They didn't. The potatoes were dry and completely unseasoned. The cheddar biscuit lacked both flavor and texture. The eggs had undercooked whites, and there was barely any hollandaise which should be the star of the show. I ended up eating a few bites of biscuit and some tomato and leaving the rest. I don't mind paying for ambiance, especially when I'm trying to spend quality time with my daughter. But the food has to justify it. Walking out feeling like I would've been more satisfied eating at home isn't a great experience. I know Mosaic can do better, which is why this was disappointing. read more

The chicken patty was rather small, fries were just alright, the power bowl was missing the citrus vinaigrette and was quite dry. We sat at the bar and the bartender was a bit slow moving. He said he would bring us a lemon for my iced tea, never did and the same thing for ketchup for my boyfriend's fries. Also, he dropped off our food with no place settings so I had to grab a fork and napkin off a nearby table. He seemed a bit out of focus but was nice enough to grab us some to go drinks. I was super surprised when we got 2 pieces of salmon with a tiny little bun under. It was literally almost the size of my fork! I think we paid around $25 for this. Super disappointed.
