Very very good burger spot! I got a double burger and patties were massive for being a smash burger. The flavor was great the caramelized onions with the Oklahoma sauce was a great pairing. The burger itself was juicy and had a good flavor. One of the better burgers I've had honestly and you have a ton of toppings to choose from. My one bite score came out to a whopping 8.2/10 which is the 4th highest rated burger on my scale ever. The sweet potato wedges were amazing the cinnamon is the way to go! I was kind of disappointed with the sizing I ordered a large to split between the two of us and it wasn't enough. The 12 oz shake was amazing the only thing with that was it took forever. I was done with my food by the time the shake was done. It did look like they only have one shake machine so that could be why it took so long but the fact the I was done with my food before even seeing the shake was a bit crazy. The price of it all was a bit steep in the 40 some dollar range, but it was great. Also kinda in a random place but the vibes were great in there and the food was good I would say it is definitely worth the drive. read more

10 out of 10 smash burger!! Oklahoma's Original Burger did the dang thing! Flavorful, juicy, the pickles were not paper thin, the cheese was present and not melted out from between the patties, and all on a potato bun. Just a hands down really good burger with them being 75% chuck and 25% bring brisket & short rib certified angus beef. You have options for a single, double, or triple with plennnnnnnnty of options to top them with. The fries, were a bit salty for my liking, but obviously that can be shook off and better than having none at all; they also offer mesquite bbq as a seasoning instead of just salt. Located at the end of a strip mall, with plenty of parking. Come down and check this place out for yourself. Went on a Saturday. The drive from Raleigh was smooth. Got there about an hour after opening. Had the single burger, the hot dog, onion rings, sweet potato fries and a Mello Yello to wash it all down. The food takes a minute cause everything is cooked to order. The bathroom floor was wet, but otherwise clean. The floor in the main part was slick, but that could be due to the humidity. Everything was hot and tasty. Heard of this place so I had to check it out. Had to get the Oklahoma burger which is the patty cooked with onions on it and served smashed style. I got the double patty which some fresh jalapeños, chipotle aioli and pickles. Was a good size burger and something on it had quite a nice kick, could've been the jalapeños which I enjoyed. Plenty of seating outside along with a patio for warm sun. Loved that many of the toppings were not an additional charge. My wife got a single patty and we split an order of the large fries which had BBQ mesquite seasoning on them. Fries were meh, very small pieces and lacked flavor. I definitely recommend getting the double patty, only a couple bucks more and enhances the experience of the Oklahoma burger. Tried this place out for the first time, needless to say I will not be going back, complete and utter lack of care for food quality. Food was literally thrown in the bag, fries and seasoning dripping grease soaking bottom of bag. Back to back visits to this place. It was within walking distance to our hotel so why not try it out?! Tried a single burger with fries. Everything was great however on the second trip I ordered my fries without salt. The burgers come with just cheese and onions, but I opted to add lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli to it and it was amazing! I placed an order through their website and received a notification that it was ready for pickup. When I went inside, I was repeatedly asked if I was a DoorDasher. I explained multiple times that I had ordered directly through their website and gave them my name. I was then told my order wasn't ready yet and that they were still working on it. Eventually, I was handed a bag and told my food was ready. When I got to my car and opened the bag, I realized it wasn't my order. I took it back inside, where they discovered my actual order had been ready the entire time and was sitting on a different shelf. I visited Oklahoma's on a Sunday for lunch when both my boyfriend and I were craving burgers. Surprisingly in Wilmington, this was one of the only burger specialty places open at the time. We checked out their menu online and everything looked delicious so we headed over. Oklahoma's is in the Barclay area shopping center, so there are a lot of other restaurants and businesses nearby. There was plenty of parking available. This place is tucked away in the back corner and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. When you arrive to the restaurant and walk in the doors, the ordering stand is right in front of you. There is a menu on the wall and you are to place your order make your own drink, sit down, and then they will call your name when Your food is ready. This place pretty much only has burgers and fries. You can choose between regular french fries (they're skinny!) with or without their special barbecue seasoning, or you can choose sweet potato fries. Both are great. The burgers are smash burgers. You can select one patty, two patties, or three. They are thin and crispy. There are plenty of toppings to choose and sauces to put on your burger or order on the side. I saw when I was in the restaurant that they recommended a pretty basic burger, but the options are essentially endless. My boyfriend ordered a milkshake, which is one other menu item they have. I'm not a big milkshake person, but I will have to say, the one we had was absolutely delicious. Went back again and it's gone downhill. My wife and I placed our order and we were sitting there waiting for 10 minutes when my wife said it looks like no one is preparing our order. She went up to the counter and the entire staff was just talking in the back, very unprofessional. The burgers were ok, very greasy, but the fries were awful. You place your order with the cashier and they will call your name when your order is ready. There's also a self ordering kiosk/stand you can place your order as well, that's right by the front door. I ordered a 12oz (the smallest) Classic shake ($10), Tulsa fries ($13), and a single patty burger ($8). Received everything about 10-12 minutes, shake came first. Overall, it was a good lunch and filling. The burger automatically comes with caramelized onions on a soft potato hamburger bun. I added all of the toppings, including garlic aioli and the Oklahomas burger sauce. I was hungry so I wolfed down the burger quick. It was borderline too saucy for my preference and I like sauce. I was disappointed there wasn't much onions and some of them were too burnt. The Tulsa fries were not bad. Fries were semi-crispy. Seasoning options were either salt or mesquite seasoning, which I went with. The OKC cheese sauce was almost like a Mac and cheese white sauce, mildly spicy. If I try the Tulsa fries again, I'll go with salt since the mesquite seasoning was a little overpowering over the OKC cheese sauce. The classic shake is a simple soft serve ice cream shake-you choose either vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. I went with chocolate. Comes with Oreo crumbles, Cookie Crisp cereal and whipped cream. My wife & I are currently on a cross-country road trip and we were actually in Oklahoma only just a few days ago and were able to try a real authentic Oklahoma burger just a few days before trying this one. Upon discovering this place in North Carolina, we thought it would be a fun opportunity to do an official taste test comparing the two burgers. And honestly, this burger won. 5-Stars. It was a totally delicious burger! I got a triple burger with ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions and bacon and it was phenomenal. One of the best tasting burgers I've ever had. My wife got her burger with burger sauce and she said the same thing. It's also fun to watch them smash the onions into the burgers. It's worth noting that I came in her only minutes before they closed and the team that served me couldn't have been nicer about welcoming me as a customer. Ordered a single and a double basic burgers and straight up regular fries with plain salt to get a baseline. Burgers: skip the single - barely a kids portion off meat. Onions and sauce were good. The double should be the adult starting point. But now you are at a competitive price point for a fast casual burger - the onions are a nice add to the flavor. Regular fries: if they had not sat for a little too long, would have been good.. Reminded me of McD style, would have loved a hot hand cut version at this price point. Love this burger! Staff super ice. One issue is it depends who is on the grill. There is no consistency we understand that it's a smash burger and the meat as well done but depending on who's on the grill will burn the burger to death. You can see they have too many burgers on the grill at one time so they don't get caught behind, but some of the people that work the grill do it the correct way and the burger comes out great. The bathrooms are horrible and aren't clean well at all every time I go there. So it's sort of a crap shit sometimes the burger is outstanding and sometimes it's pretty gross. read more

Decided to give it a try one day for lunch . It was not crowded and we were able to order quickly. Decided on a single smash burger with onion and cheese. All patties are certified angus beef served on a potato roll served in a wrap of paper. The patty was smashed as advertised. When I opened the bun I was disappointed, the edges were incredibly thin and burnt to a crisp. The onions were over caramelized , a lot of them were black and the American cheese was non descript. The menu was very straightforward with options of single, double, or triple burgers with your choice of toppings, fries, and drink/milkshakes. The original Oklahomas burger is a home run for Wilmington. The fresh burger patty topped with thin sliced onions sets this burger place apart from the rest. The regular fries have a bbq seasoning on them that give them a subtle zing and flare, making a uniquely their own. The tulsa fries were also amazing and jam packed with flavor with the bacon and sauce drizzled on top. Also, what is a better pair to burgers and fries then an ice cream shake to top it off. The shake machine was like nothing I have ever seen before as it blends in a variety of cereal that were all reminiscent of my childhood.
