I specifically requested no tomatoes, no lettuce, and no mayo on both sandwiches, and somehow both sandwiches came loaded with exactly those ingredients. It's not a minor mistake when the order instructions are that clear. On top of that, they even managed to mix up the cheeses on each sandwich, which just shows a complete lack of attention to detail. When you're paying for food, especially something as straightforward as a cheesesteak, you expect the basics to be handled correctly. This wasn't a complicated or custom-heavy order--it was simple, clearly stated, and still got messed up in multiple ways. Pretty disappointing experience overall.

I understand the need to verify the person picking up the order. Name, phone number and a screenshot of the order number should be good enough. The stupidest thing about this from a business standpoint is that they had to refund my order, eat the credit card fee, and throw away the sandwich. Added April 17 to reply to customer service... I, as do many other customers, use a virtual credit card when paying online merchants. This is because IT departments have been so sloppy with security, that we don't want to deal with yet another credit card breach. I don't have a physical card to show at the cash register; I can give you the last four digits of the virtual card. As to the photo ID requirement... It is ridiculous to expect a spouse or other family member to carry around a photos of peoples' drivers licenses. It is my understanding that this new policy arose out of an employee giving an order to someone they shouldn't have. This is not a customer's problem. This is a training problem. The only requirement to pick up a prepaid order made in the mobile app or online should be a screenshot of the order details, i.e. online order number, customer name, amount paid. Nothing more. A random person walking in off the street is not going to have all these details. Denying a paying customer picking up their order over an inept policy decision is inexcusable. I don't need to email your customer support address to resolve this. This can be done through the simple, obvious policy change that I have suggested here, publicly, in the open, for everyone else to see. It also serves as a warning to other customers who may run into the same problem with your business.
