2 al pastor tacos with cilantro, pineapple drink
    Sandy M.

Funny story, we drove by and saw a taco set up, so we stopped to have a taco each. We ordered 2 al pastor tacos as we saw the rotisserie set up. They were still putting meat on the rotisserie set up, so it wasn't cut straight from there. I loved how they have a salsa bar set up, with everything you need for toppings. One of the salsas were pretty spicy, so the pineapple drink was there for the rescue. I would have liked the tacos more if it had some grilled pineapple, Also, al pastor tacos usually have like red-like seasoning (not spicy) but this one didn't, so the flavor was a bit different from what I expected. Overall, it was decent.

This taco spot has become my family's new fave local taco spot. Honestly speaking you can catch us here at least once a week. Our go-to is their pastor taco. We love how on the side they offer a variety of sauces and toppings. We like to top our tacos with avocado salsa, red salsa, green salsa, pickled veggies, radish, and lime. If you're not a fan of spice be careful of the pickled veggies since they have a kick to them. The tacos are about $2, however, they do give more meat compared to other trucks. Customer service is great and the cooks are always so sweet. Sauces & Toppings they provide: Red salsa, avocado salsa, green salsa, radish, cucumber, lime, and pickled veggies. Check out @bunbaosibs for more food reviews!

Came here because I saw @bunbaosibs post about them! This spot is delicious! We got the al pastor and carne asada tacos which were both yummy. The al pastor was our favorite because of the flavor. The carne asada had this ground meat texture, so we weren't a fan. They have a sauce bar which you can put your own salsa (red, green, etc.) They have 3 locations: 2 in San Gabriel (valley/del mar and san gabriel/las tunas and 1 in El Monte. Each taco was $2 and worth every bite!

Lunch on Taco Tuesday in Temple City, Los Angeles, California…read more.. My friend, Rosemarie, highly recommended El Ruizeñor Grill because she had been there in the past for a Yelp event. She described the food, the prizes, and the fun - wow! Let's go! Parking on the street was easy. We arrived before the lunch crowd, so several tables were available. Afterwards, the place was packed in the colorfully decorated and festive atmosphere! Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful! The Taco Tuesday deal was great! We got pollo, papa, al pastor, and carnitas tacos for $1.56 each, and a carne asada taco for $2.56! Everything was tasty and beautiful! I also enjoyed a generous, refreshing horchata! Thanks, Rose for the fun foodie adventure! I appreciated the complementary crunchy chips and non-spicy salsa! Yum!

After reading some great reviews, I came here to support this biz. Luckily, I got free street parking. I'm not sure if they have their own parking though. They do have tables and chairs outdoor and indoor for dining. It's small space was a bit dark due to the dark furniture. They weren't super busy with only a handful of tables preoccupied. Staff was friendly and amicable. I did take-out instead of dine-in. Menu had good selections of different authentic Oaxacan cuisine, including dishes like tlayudas, mole, and chilaquiles, alongside traditional Mexican entrees. Since mole with chicken was a highlight dish at the event, I decided to get it with one Iced Jamaica drink. Wait time was a bit long which I find odd because they weren't super busy. Maybe they make their chicken mole to order. Chicken was super moist! Mole sauce was not overpowering with spices which I enjoyed very much. Rice could have been fluffier. Black beans was a bit plain... wished it had more flavor. Jamaica drink was very light in taste unfortunately... I should have gotten it with no ice. I may return to give them another chance to WOW. Maybe I'll dine-in next time. Best of success El Ruizenor Grill!
