I've neve been to Taiwan but I imagine that this restaurant is close to what they serve there. My family likes the beef noodle soup here and recommends it to friends. Pricing is more than other places but the portion is large enough to have leftovers or feed two so it's acceptable. I get the tendon only beef noodle soup, as I like the texture of well cooked tendon so much. The flavor of the broth is rich and concentrated. The noodles have a bouncy chew texture and doesn't soak up the broth even when refrigerated overnight. The amount and size of tendon they give here is phenomenal, never seen quality and quantity like this really justifies the pricing. The wonton soup is also a large portion, that is sharable. The wontons are different from Hong Kong style, a big size and just ground meat no shrimp. I wouldn't order this again as the beef noodle soup is just so much better. Chilled cucumber salad was addicting and small enough portion to be finished off in one sitting. Crunchy and marinated in a quick pickle this was so yummy as a side dish. I heard the hype around this place's beef noodle soup so I had to try it out. There's parking onsite as the restaurant is located in a plaza. Service was normal. I got the Half Meat Half Tendon Beef Noodle Soup and was unfortunately not impressed with it as the meat that came with it was tough and the broth had a good helping of MSG in it. I could taste it plus I was super parched afterwards and had to chug a ton of water. Overall: Great place for Taiwanese food with quick, no frills services. This is one of my go to spots for beef noodle soup. Plenty of parking, usually no wait, and great food. The Service: Service is definitely no frills. It's not a fine dining restaurant, but the server is attentive, took my order quickly, and would refill my water when needed. Everything was quick and efficient. The Food: Monascus Pork - 5/5 Very few places serve this dish and it's one of my favorites. I already have my go-to's in the LA and OC areas, but this being Christmas Day, some of those places were closed. And so, as I was feeling some beef noodle soup, I looked and I found! Corner Beef Noodle House did the trick and hit the taste buds, but it also is not quite as amazing as my already-established go-to's in the area. Location: Corner Beef is located in a plaza, which is good for parking. That said, the parking lot does tend to still get crowded (from the other tenants of the plaza)! I was able to get a good parking spot though. Service: It's seat yourself as you walk in, but there isn't a sign or anything to say this. As I was waiting, props to the one server who has to serve everyone, but she also didn't turn at all as I entered and didn't acknowledge me at all. So I chose to just seat myself after waiting a bit, asked aloud to make sure I could seat myself, and that's when she turned her head for the first time and acknowledged my presence. Friendly, yes. So overall friendly and kind, just perhaps there's something a bit off that could rub somebody with less patience the wrong way. There are plenty of tables. Also some customers. This place seems to stay at least somewhat busy. Definitely not empty, but also not crazy packed. Now on to the food! Since beef noodle soup is in the restaurant name, this was what I was going to go with, and what I think would be fair to write a review on this establishment on. The noodles are pretty bouncy - that's a good thing! Pickled vegetables get served on the side - that's a good thing too because I know some who don't like the pickled veggies. I happen to love pickled veggies with my beef noodle soup, so I dumped the entire small ramekin in there. The broth was rich and flavored,. Spicy enough too - did a good job clearing my sinuses. I'd say this place has one of the top beef noodle soups in the area. We got the Beef Stew Noodle (16.47), Wonton in Chili oil (14.94), Mochi (7.73), and Honey Aiyu Green tea (4.99). The beef noodle is pretty sweet and not very spicy at all, and I like how bouncy and slightly chewy the actual noodle strands are. They pack a lot of beef into the bowl, and each piece is tender and not tough to chew despite the look. The wontons had a strong chili smell, but it wasn't super spicy and tasted vinegary. The standout to me was the mochi - it was nice and chewy and the peanut and sesame flavoring was just right! The broth here has a strong depth of flavor with a nice spicy kick to it, but I think if this broth had a bit more beef flavor and a bit spicier kick it'd be perfect. Noodles were great quality. I've been here two times- first time maybe 10 years ago and I returned again recently. This time I got the tendon noodle soup, wontons, and popcorn chicken (to-go). For the noodle soup, the tendon was cooked very well where it was super soft. The soup flavor itself was good, definitely soy heavy. I normally don't like noodles that aren't super thick/chewy but there was a good bounce to the noodles here (thick noodle option). The ratio of everything was good. The wontons... a bit confusing I would say because it says chili oil wonton / sour something on the menu. There wasn't any chili oil that I could taste so I asked, and the server gave me some chili oil on the side. She warned me that it was very spicy, which was not a problem for me. I added it and it was good after. Also they were the biggest size wontons I've ever seen. Basically a dumpling. For the popcorn chicken, I would say it's decent. The batter is slightly heavy but it's more like a rustic uneven crunchiness. Overall it is still a great location for beef noodle soup. SO SCRUM! I have a tendency to lean away from Chinese food when I eat out since I can just eat it at home but I have to say this is one of the best restaurants I've had in a while. She was pretty nice and quick with taking our orders, which my girlfriend and I both got beef noodle stew soup. The beef noodle soup came out pretty quick in like about 10 minutes from ordering, and it was pretty hot temperature wise. The soup base was pretty good and it wasn't spicy to me despite having a chili sign to it on the menu, which I didn't mind since I don't eat much spice these days. The noodle were of a thicker texture and it was cooked pretty well, while the beef in the bowl itself was pretty tender too. The bok choy seemed fresh as well and not overcooked. My only real complaint is that they gave a really small cup of mustard greens, which I actually prefer to have a lot more mustard greens when it comes to beef noodle soup. So I felt like that was the only thing missing to the noodle soup. For the price of $16+ too, I would at least like the option of being able to choose having more mustard greens if I wanted to. Overall though, it was a really good beef noodle soup and I would come back again to get their beef noodle soup if I was craving just that. Just I couldn't eat too much. I loved the pickles on top, helped cut the fat a lot! Spicy wonton has very generous filling to the point it's too much filling and not enough wonton noodles. Beef noodle soup taste very traditional to what you would find in Taiwan. If you pay with cash, they will give you 3% off the bill. If you pay with cash and spend over $50, you get 3% and a free drink of choice! But you gotta remind the server. Returned for their beef noodles two years later and I would still say their noodles are alright. Noodles are chewy and beef can be a hit or miss for some pieces. We came close to closing time so it was pretty empty. Service was pretty good with refills for water and quick to take our order. Delicious food. The beef and tendon noodle soup is my go to, and the broth is spicy and rich. Meat is tender and tendon is soft with some chew. Pork chop rice is huge and pretty standard. What I love is that they offer mochi and you get sesame and peanut powder to dip in. Must try! read more

Used to be really good but we got takeout and our order was missing all sorts of stuff that we didn't notice till we got home. 1. 2/5 Pork chop rice- minimal pork chops, and no minced pork on top of the rice...it was as if they scooped it and then took the time to remove it because there were a few crumbs of it. There was also substantially less pork chop pieces...some pieces were just batter too. maybe times are tough. 2. 1/5 Spicy wontons; had no spice??? It was really meatbally and very minimal taste and no spicy sauce. We had to add Lao gan ma. Pics attached. 3. 4/5 Beef noodle soup. Still pretty good like always but they did not put cilantro or onions in it at all. Some pieces of beef really tough but the tendon was really good 4. 4.5/5 pork head cold dish, they were out of pig ears but this was rly good! Maybe they were having an off day but those maybe minor things really threw off our meal. Might try again or only beef noodle soup in the future. Side note I really do love their extra spicy chili oil. A little goes a long way!!! read more
