Came by because of social media's promotion and the Yelp reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are only offering to go orders, and no dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady taking our order is nice. We ordered orange chicken with white rice, and crispy noodle with shrimp. Food was freshly prepared, and it was hot when I got home. The orange chicken seemed to be all doughy, and tasteless. The breading was not crispy at all. The noodle was not fully cooked for the crispy noodle, and it was hard to bite off. The sauce of the crispy noodle is more like soup, which was watery and has a lack of flavored. Price was very reasonable, which is nice for the economy. I recommended this place if you are on a budget and not care the taste of the food. Keep in mind that the food was freshly made, which was nice. However, this is not for me. Pretty sad meal to me. Cash only.

Decided to try this place because my brother kept talking about it. There's lot of parking since it's shared with small businesses. Note to self, next time, call ahead to order instead of going there to order. I waited about 20-25 mins for my 3 items during the busy dinner time. I ordered the orange chicken, fish filet with black bean sauce, and Mongolian beef. For $7-$8 per item, it wasn't a bad meal. The food was affordable. It also comes with white rice. There is no dine in and it's cash only.

Point Dume Chinese Food is located in the same plaza as El Pollo Loco and Hello Boba. My family decided to try Point Dume Chinese Food for dinner two Sundays ago. I made an order over the phone and ordered the following: Black Pepper Beef with Fresh Mushrooms, $8.95 prior to tax- In this dish, there were no mushrooms, lol. It was made with zucchini, onions and bell peppers. My husband was disappointed because there were no mushrooms but it was a tasty dish. But rather salty. Fried Fish Fillet with Vegetables, $7.95 prior to tax- My mom picked this entree. We did like it but this dish was really salty. I do like that this dish had a lot of vegetables though, with a mix of cabbage, broccoli, bean sprouts and carrots. There was also plenty of garlic used in the sauce. Szechuan Eggplant, $6.95 prior to tax- I opted for eggplant because I just love egg plant. This dish was really, really oily though. But the flavor was good. Chicken with Broccoli, $6.95 prior to tax- This dish had plenty of broccoli, but also had some cabbage and a little bit of carrots. And again, this dish was rather salty too. Container of steamed white rice- Complementary but wished it came with 2 boxes and I didn't want to purchase a box. -------------------------------- (Total= $34.04 after tax) Please note that this restaurant is CASH ONLY. The employee who took care of our transaction was friendly. We still had to wait a little bit after coming during the time we were told our order would be ready. But that wasn't a problem. While we waited for out items, we saw that there were other people who had also made an order ahead of time and came to pick up their food too. Portion size is excellent and the price is also very cheap. Honestly, you can't find any restaurant with these type of prices in California that can feed a family for 1-2 meals. But the food is really salty and oily so I don't know if I would come back here any time soon. But would consider them again for a pot luck or gathering.

I've driven by Point Dume many times, even came across it on Yelp but never stopped by until recently. Someone mentioned it in a food group I'm in and said it was pretty good and super cheap, so curiosity got me. They're takeout and cash only, and there's a table by the entrance for you to pick up or place your order. It's located in a strip mall off Peck Rd. and it's not hard to find a parking spot. We ordered a vegetable fried noodle, chicken in spicy sauce, fish filet in Szechuan sauce and bean curd in brown sauce. The orders also come with rice. The portions are generous, and flavor isn't bad, although the fish was in a heavy sauce, and the chicken dish was a tad bit salty. The price is ridiculously cheap, all that for about $30., which is rare these days. Don't expect gourmet, authentic Chinese cuisine from here, but it does remind me of many years ago when friends and I will hit up a dive in SF Chinatown at 1am after partying, getting greasy cheap food. Plus, it's a small family business and the lady was very nice, so I'd gladly support them.

Have tried yet but will let you know trying it out from other yelp reviews no seating walk up ordering or call ahead . Service is good [[HIGHLIGHT]]not much to say about the ambiance as we don't go inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Came to try the beef chow fun!

Looking for an affordable meal to feed the family? Point Dume is a take out only spot that has pretty cheap options. Most things are in the $7-9 range. We ordered 5 dishes for less than $50 total. Portions are decent for the price. Taste-wise you get what you pay for. Most of these items were just ok to me. I've definitely had better. The sweet and sour pork wasn't crispy even though we had it "fresh." The beef chow fun didn't have enough flavor or wok hei. The Mongolian beef was pretty good but contained a lot of onions. The eggplant dish was also pretty good but heavy on the oil. The walnut shrimp was also tasty but I wish it had less of the mayo dressing. Overall, food was ok.

If you look for good Chinese food at very affordable price, you should come to this place. For $7 you can order one order of shrimp fried rice or orange chicken, good portion too, can't complain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is no dine in, to-go orders only.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do party trays too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish they have some seats available at the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is usually one Chinese lady takes your orders, and don't expect your multiple orders will be ready to pick up quickly, so you just need to be patient.

Service was very nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is very affordable and pretty good for the price. The amount of meat on most of the dishes is a bit low but it's very reasonable for the price.

String beans, chow mein with veggies, and beef and mushroom with black bean sauce. Complimentary rice. All for only $25!

I'm not sure why but I never had Point Dume until recently and I will be going back regularly! Their prices and portions are UNBEATABLE. It reminds me of dining back in the 2010s when things were affordable. Portions are huge and generous. I feel like the dishes are a bit salty but I can't really complain given the price. It's just extra favorable! The are take out and cash only! You can call in to order ahead of time! The lady in the front speaks mandarin and English! She was very kind! They also do party trays for $20-30 depending on what you want to order and party tray size. They are open thanksgiving day but closed a bit earlier!

Take out only, cash only. Same strip mall as Pollo Loco. Plenty of parking. Prices this low for Chinese food might make you suspicious as to the quality and quantity of the food but for the price the food is not bad. The quantity of the food is sufficient, you won't be overwhelmed with overflowing containers and the quality is very acceptable. Try it, you might be disappointed, but then again, maybe you won't be. It's definitely not going to break the bank.

Chinese Togo restaurant. I went February 2026 and they no longer serve onsite and only do Togo. I really wanted love this place but to be honest it's not authentic. We got the chow fun and the noodles were stuck together and it literally had 3 pieces of beef. I think they used pork instead of beef in the beef broccoli. The lady that took the order was really nice and friendly. Really really cheap prices that run about $6-$8 per dish. Really affordable.

    Chinese Mushroom with Bamboo Shoots
    Thomas D.

Got three vegetarian dishes for my mom. Bean curd in brown sauce looks great and delicious. Szechuan Eggplant looks okay but I've had better fried eggplant. The Chinese Mushroom with bamboo shoots didn't seem to have that much mushrooms. Overall not bad food especially for the price, around $6.95 each. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is no seating, only ordering at the door (door blocked by table).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady did warn almost every customer that it would take around 20 minutes which is kind of a lot. I didn't mind the wait because she did let us know. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wish they had some outdoor seating while we waited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Probably should run errands in the area (George's Produce across the street). Considering the prices of the food, definitely will come back and try other non vegetarian dishes.

Read the reviews and decided I had to check out this place. We ordered the sweet-and-sour pork, which had a great taste with medium size chunks of pork. The mixed vegetable chow mein and mixed vegetable fried rice both had great flavor and complemented the sweet-and-sour pork. The walnut shrimp tasted great and paired well with the steamed fluffy white rice. I saved the best for last and ended my meal with a delicious and crispy eggroll. Can't wait to try the orange chicken next. Food here is great, but customer service here is awesome. The lady behind the counter was absolutely sweet and friendly with an infectious smile. Overall, I highly recommend trying this place out.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. It is considered…read moreto be one of the best destinations for fresh seafood, with the accent on Chinese cuisine. What has shunned me from this place, is the distance and the traffic, from the SFV. Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.

This seems to be a chain along the west coast (looks like there's at least one location in Seattle too). The ordering process was easy, picking the dishes we wanted on their Chowbus link instead of interacting with an actual person. LOTUS ROOT AND PEANUT RIB SOUP 莲藕排骨汤 - 18.98 The lightest of the three entrees, almost like it was purposely under-seasoned since everything else was so flavorful and spicy. I liked the simplicity of this soup, and I enjoyed three bowls of it. There were plenty of lotus roots and ribs in each order. STIR-FRIED BLACK PORK WITH GREEN PEPPER 招牌小炒肉 - 19.98 The pork was not as spicy as expected, but a bit too oily (which is expected) and salty for me. This is a classic Hunan-style dish, and we felt like it was a must order. I thought it was fine, but didn't love it. EGGPLANT AND EGG 擂茄子皮蛋 - 16.98 This came pre-mashed, topped with two century eggs. The server mashed everything together for us before we dug in. The combination flavors are nothing I've ever had, pungent savoriness from the egg, acidity and spice from the sauce and peppers, mixed with the creamy texture of eggplant. Initially, I wasn't sure if I liked it, but the more I had it, the better it became. Definitely an acquired taste. Overall, we enjoyed the variety of dishes we got to try. We had so many leftovers that I was able to enjoy a to-go container of the mashed eggplant and egg with some rice before my flight the next day. I left my cousins with about 1/3 of the eggplant, most of the soup and stir-fried pork and green pepper. Good value for sure. However, I wish we didn't have to pay +1.50 for each bowl of rice. Come on, we ordered entrees -- shouldn't there be a complimentary bowl per entree?

Even though we went during off peak hours. We still had to wait for a table, which was pretty crazy. The service was friendly and attentive. The portion were big and price were read. The only this that we don't usually eat very spicy food, so some dishes were a bit too spicy for us. However, if you enjoy spicy food, you would probably really love this place. Parking was also very difficult, but overall. It was still a great dining experience.
