I had lunch at Chef de Crêpe and WOW. I genuinely cannot believe how many times I've driven past this place without stopping. I'm so glad I finally did! The moment you walk in, it honestly feels like you've stepped into a little café in Paris. The décor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with elegant touches everywhere that make the space feel cozy but elevated at the same time. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The seating is mostly table seating (no booths), with a few smaller tables set along a hallway-style walkway that opens up into a larger dining area. The way the space is laid out feels intentional and well designed even though the restaurant was getting a lot of attention while I was there, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. Everything flowed nicely. It's colder right now, so their front deck seating wasn't open, but you can tell that when the weather warms up there's additional seating available outside on the deck, which would be such a nice spot to sit. The bathrooms are conveniently located right up front, which makes them easy to find. Parking is also pretty simple, there's parking available in the back of the building, and if those spots are full you can usually find street parking nearby. Here's what I ordered: Pistachio Rose Affogato * Pistachio Italian espresso * Vanilla ice cream * Crushed pistachio * Edible rose petals * Wafer East Coast Croissant * Cheddar cheese * Bacon * Spinach * Scrambled eggs * House-made garlic aioli * Served with breakfast potatoes My drink didn't just look beautiful , it tasted incredible too. The pistachio espresso paired with the vanilla ice cream was already amazing, but the crushed pistachios and edible rose petals really took it to another level. It was sweet, rich, and full of flavor. The East Coast Croissant surprised me in the best way. I'm usually not a big spinach-on-sandwich person, but I wanted to try it exactly as it's served to get the full experience. I'm glad I did because it completely changed my mind! Everything worked together perfectly, and the garlic aioli added so much flavor. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere felt cozy and charming, and we loved how one section of the menu is inspired by the owner's travels to different countries such a fun, personal touch. Ryan ordered the maple cinnamon latte and it was so good. The maple flavor was noticeable without overpowering the coffee, and it had that warm, balanced sweetness that just works. I had the Parisian macchiato, which was equally delicious. For food, we ordered the huevos rotos galette and the croque madame. Both were absolutely incredible. The galette was savory, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the croque madame was rich without being too heavy. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The only slight downside was that our drinks came out a little after our food, but honestly, it wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. We'll definitely be back. Made reservations a week in advance for a 12 noon Saturday lunch for three people. The reservation was confirmed by email. We arrived at 11:55 AM. Was told there would be a short wait. After about 15 minutes, I asked if there was a problem (we had a hungry 5 year old in our group, AND I did make reservations. We were told no problem...just a short wait. My daughter-in-law walked back to the main dining area.....THERE WERE 3 EMPTY TABLES. Guess what we were seated immediately. The manager/owner excuse: "Well, we are expecting a party of 5." Saturday for sure this is a hot breakfast and brunch spot. Since it's only for a person of one, I was quickly seated at the bar. The place is very quaint and girlish, a lot of pink and white and Eiffel Towers that does give you a feel of Paris. The menu and utensils were all set up at the counter. I was excited to see Gallette because I had it in France and was very interested to see how it compares. The place was busy and so it took a while even for the barista or cashier at the counter to take my order. I decided to order the Huevos Roto Gallette. since this was the only thing I orderedt, it took a while, but I waited and observed the scene. The place is full with a waiting list and people are really enjoying their food. Conversation between two customers and the barista tell that this is a popular place and often are busy. my crêpe finally arrived, and it was May fresh and overall very delicious. I love that the crêpe base is made of buckwheat, which is hard to find here in the US and it was very well done. My only slight critique would be to make it slightly less salty since the prosciutto was already salty. All the servers were very nice and and looks like work together well as a team I definitely recommend this place and we'll go back and visit. read more

Yesterday the day before mother's day we showed up pretty much right at open. No one was there, they said they couldn't take us for 45 minutes. Today we call in and wait 45 mins for a pick up order, i go in to get it and she calls me sophie. I said maybe they heard me wrong but my name is (name). She still repeated calling me Sophie and handed me the order. She wasn't very nice, the people who took the order had tons of trouble hearing me. I always like to check out the local fare when I'm traveling, and Chef de Crepe showed up on yelp when I was looking for weekend brunch. It's located in an old house in a suburban area across the river from Harrisburg. They were very busy when I arrived, and I put my name in and took advantage of the mild November weather to walk around the neighborhood while I waited for the text message to inform me my table was ready. I ended up walking back quickly because my wait time was shorter than anticipated. I was seated at a cute, small table which was unfortunately in a thoroughfare, so there was a lot of people walking by, but it wasn't too much of an issue. There was a wide variety of breakfast and brunch dishes available including both sweet and savory crepes. They had an extensive season selection of food and non-alcoholic beverages available as well. I ordered a salmon crepe with egg along with a coffee. I wasn't sure how the egg would work with salmon, but I was pleasantly surprised at the taste/texture combo. I should have stopped there, but I felt that my meal wouldn't be complete without a sweet crepe, so I ordered the New Yorkers Gift. The Nutella, strawberries and bananas all paired perfectly. Overall, I would definitely recommend Chef de Crepe for breakfast or brunch if you are looking for quality atmosphere and food and are not looking for a full bar. The chairs were comfortable and there was plenty of room between tables. It's a good thing we were comfortable because service was a little slow. But if you've ever been to France, you know that restaurant service there is slower, so you could say that the service - as well as the food - were both very French-like. I came here back when they first moved to camp hill and it definitely has improved. I love their new stuffed croissants they have every Saturday. The cafe is always so cute and cozy, as always.
