Breakfast spread for their Latin brunch
    Ethel T.

Having just discovered this gem over the holidays, my in-laws insisted on bringing us here when we swung by early this year to pass them their belated Christmas gift. I'm not sure if this is anything besides a catering business outside of Sundays but on Sundays, we feast. And Chef's Catering does brunch. So brunch it was. We were seated by the waitress (who apparently was new) and she offered to give us a rundown of the menu, or rather buffet spread. That Sunday was Latin fare (we were a week early for French fare, sadly) and she explained each dish to us. Drink options were offered (first glass of champagne is on the house) along with a couple made-to-order items such as waffles and omelettes. At 11AM, we were a little more than hungry for brunch and everything looked amazing, we couldn't wait to dig in. In all honesty, I preferred the breakfast fare best - I piled my plate high with frittatas and pastries, slightly afraid that I'd be too full for the lunch section but I had on my trusty flow-y skirt whose sole purpose was to hide that food baby (I come prepared). The lunch section was pretty decent - I loved the taco salad shells, shrimp ceviche, guacamole, and fish though the other meats weren't quite as flavorful or tender as I would've liked. And as for the desserts (churros, rice pudding, and mousse), though gorgeous, weren't quite to my liking. That said, I circled back for more taco salad, fish, guac, and pastries and definitely ate a lot more than I should. All in all, definitely a hidden gem in this little corner mall, and I'd definitely swing by to try Chef's French fare hopefully the next time we're in town!

Such a nice place for brunch! Came here on a Sunday morning (10am) for their brunch buffet and they had a Mediterranean theme. It was lovely! All the food was fresh and delicious. The owners and staff were so welcoming and accommodating it was a pleasure. Such a cute place tucked away in a shopping center on Tustin. They do not se be alcohol so please note that. Other than this small setback it was a great dining experience. Decor and atmosphere is beautiful. They also cater! Big plus!! Check them out! I will be doing a family breakfast here quarterly. 3/24/19- still amazing!! The food was great, the decor was too cute and it got so busy so quick! Come early! The spread was amazing. I enjoyed every bite!!

This restaurant is owned and operated by a father and daughter duo. Both exceptional chefs. I had the pleasure of meeting Joanne and Chef Abdul. Both are kind and genuinely love their clientele. You taste their love through their food! Located in the city of Orange, and nestled in a busy strip mall. It's extremely easy to overlook this restaurant and catering service. Don't. I did many times! They are only open on Sunday's for breakfast and brunch. They do offer catering services and to-go orders. Their menu can be found online via Yelp. From what my foodie Yelp Elite girlfriend told me they do have a buffet breakfast/brunch but since COVID-19 operation was halted. I opted to have the tri-tip, egg omelette and fried potatoes. The tri-tip was exceptionally tender; topped with onions and mushrooms, the omelette was moist, golden and cooked to perfection, my potatoes fried to golden perfection. It was pure love on my plate. The tri-tip is so tender that you don't even need a knife! It's that crazy tender and so succulent. I ordered the cheese roll beef roast sandwich for my husband and he absolutely loved it. As my daughter loved her lemon chicken wrap. Think the Mediterranean. Fresh lemon zest is added to their wrap spread. It truly defines this wrap and elevates it. The restaurant is open and airy. Simple decor and inviting. Do yourself a favor and visit!

I wish I could give this spot 6 stars! It is by far one of the most impressive brunches that I have ever seen. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by a server who takes you through a walking tour of each of the items. There is an appetizer area, a cheese plate, olives, and salad area, and then the main entrees area. The dessert table always looks beautifully decorated and decadent. Every Sunday is a different theme. So far I've tried the brazilian theme, latin theme, and Valentine's day theme. The attention to detail is impeccable. There is a professionalism and poise about everything in this brunch. From the dessert cups and fruit display to the steak or chicken entree, everything is decorated with beautiful flowers making you feel your meal is at some high end resort. As far as taste, it definitely delivers! I can't begin to talk about everything that was served but as you see from the pictures the food tasted as AMAZING as it looked! Each theme is carefully planned toward, with extreme attention to detail! Complimentary sparkling cider really set the mood and the made to order pancakes, omeletes (try the veggie bacon omelette!) and waffles (ask for nutella on the side!) are amazing! On top of that the fact that everything's halal makes it a mindblowing deal and an amazing place to bring all your loved ones. The food is top-notch quality, the service and decor are perfect. I've been back 3 times in the span of 3 months and wish I could go more often, but for the sake of my health I have held back. Come with your family, girlfriends, date, or for special events, this brunch buffet is truly a gem!

Chef's catering is located in a small strip mall in Orange. They specialize in catering for events and companies. However on Sundays, they are open from 10am to 3pm for brunch. Every week the brunch theme changes. On the 2 occasions that I visited, they had Mediterranean one week, and a French theme the other. They have an incredible variety of breakfast and lunch items, including made to order omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and bacon (beef). All their food is halal and freshly prepared. Brunch is $20 and comes with a complimentary glass of apple cider. There is an additional charge for drinks. The menus for the times I visited consisted of the following: MEDITERRANEAN ============================== Breakfast Section- Egyptian Shakshouka (Poached Egg in Tomato Sauce), Ful Medames, Egyptian Falafel, Spinach Fatayer, Assorted Freshly Baked Goods, Omelets, Waffles, & Pancakes Made to Order Salads & Starters- Arabic Green Salad, Hummus, Tabbouleh, Baba Ghanoush, Pita Chips -Entrée- Chicken Shawarma, Arabic Beef Kibbeh, Herb Roasted Tri-Tips, Mediterranean Fish w/Fresh Tomatoes, Onions, and Olives, Macaroni Béchamel, Angel Hair Rice, Moussaka Dessert Section Fresh Fruit Display, Eid Kahk, Baklava, Konafa, Assorted Petit Fours FRENCH: ================================ -Breakfast French Quiche Florentine, French Toast Soufflé, French Potato Croquettes, Freshly Baked Goods, French Crepes, Omelets, Waffles, Pancakes | Made to Order -Salads & Starters- French Green Salad w/Figs and Pecans, French Potato Salad, French Green Bean Salad w/Tuna, French Baguettes and Butter -Entrée- French Chicken Puffs, French Tri-Tips Champignon, French Tilapia Meuniere, Potatoes Au Gratin, Fresh Summer Vegetables -Dessert Fresh Fruit Display, French Macrons, French Chocolate Cups, French Crème Brûlée, French Éclair, Mango Mousse ;================================= Service was outstanding and the owners of the establishment came out and met with guests. While the food here isn't the best Mediterranean or best French food out there, it tastes great and the variety that is available is on par with many of the fancy Las Vegas buffets. Overall this is an incredible value at $20, and I would definitely be back to try some of their other buffet themes. The schedule for the buffet themes are listed on their website, along with the menu of the items being served.

A LA Style Restaurant in the OC! Finally, there is no need to travel to LA to get well balanced, flavorful and unique culinary dishes. Orange County has many of the best things to offer, but talented chefs are difficult to find. Chef's Restaurant bucks that trend. The name could not be more suitable. This is "Chef's" restaurant. A talented and masterful artist is now making his banquet feasts available to the public. And, he is not just in the kitchen. Chef makes his rounds and oversees the entire dining room making sure everyone is enjoying their feasts. Feasts! Brunch Buffets-All you can eat? Wow! A few of my favorites: 1. Citrus Chicken-5 Stars! Amazingly delicious and well balanced dish. White meat never tasted so good or was this moist and flavorful. Easily my favorite dish! 2. Salmon-5 Stars! Another unique creation which is deliciously prepared and on mark. 3. Vegetable Options-5 stars! They serve a few choices but my favorite is the fresh broccoli dish with cream sauce. 4. Breakfast Options-5 Stars! Made to order pancakes and omelets make this brunch complete. 5. Desserts-5 Stars! Homemade creations that will leave you with the difficult option of choosing which ones to eat with the limited space you have left in your belly. Quite frankly, I thought the carrot cake was the best choice for me. It was rich, yet fluffy and airy with a fluffy texture. The frosting was perfectly done. ~Service-5 Stars! ~Location The last place you would expect a restaurant of this caliber. It's in a plaza with a very low key business front. It is located right off of Tustin, across from Home Depot and Chucke Cheese in the same plaza as the Billiards shop. Parking is sweet and easy. Chef's, Orange...another reason the OC is the best place to live!

This place is a real find - only $19.99 for the Sunday brunch buffet and the food is unique, fresh and delicious! Plus receive 20% off with Yelp check in! Chef's brunch is only open on Sundays and every Sunday the theme changes. Today was the Italian theme and highlights included Osso Bucco beef short ribs, Spinach Frittata, Stuffed pasta shells, Italian pastries, crispy Pizzelles and jam and a tasty dessert table. Heads up - Anise is used liberally in most of the desserts! The chef gave us a personal tour of the buffet explaining all the dishes and he also walked the restaurant continuously throughout our time there, checking in with other tables and greeting guests. Although reservations aren't required, it's not a bad idea in case there are any big groups. I like to go to buffets when they first open (10am in this case) so that I can be one of the first to touch the food before it gets picked over by others. Is that weird?

    And it's all halal!
    Sana A.

It's been years since I've had a traditional Thanksgiving meal, so I searched for a place that would cater that type of food. I also needed the food to be halal. Fortunately, I came across Chef's Catering. I went back and forth with Joanne via email, and she was extremely patient. I chose to pick up the food and it was packed up very nicely, which made the drive home a lot easier. The food tasted good. I'm glad I chose Chef's Catering :)

Thanks to Yelp we were introduced to this place, Chef's Restaurant & Catering. It's a themed weekly brunch buffet with their menu seen days before. This Sunday was the Italian Inspired Brunch. Parking was easy at 12pm and it wasn't crowded. We were greeted warmly at the door and toured at the buffet table, each section of the buffet table explained to us. We liked the idea of having just a few choices because it's not overwhelming and you get the chance to sample all of them, haha! Food was tasty, freshly made, just right for the price and they have friendly and attentive staff. Chef even went around to check us out. Will try their other theme brunch next time. It was a good choice!

Open for Brunch only on Sundays. Different theme each Sunday $19.99

Environment - 7 rating Located in a retail center across the street from Home Depot. It's one large room. Food The experience is like going to a very nice catered event. The restaurant is only open to public on Sunday for brunch. Each week is a different theme. I came for the French cuisine. It's $19.99 for adults. All of the food is made from scratch. It is a family business and the Sundays are a way for the catering company to highlight their catering abilities. My favorites were #1 - The French Toast with Carmel and Nuts #2 The Creme Brulee the best OMG #3 the Potato Croquettes #4 Pomegranate Apple Cider #5 Sage Cheese Service - 10 rating - met the Chef and daughter. Whole staff was very friendly and gracious. Overall great value for the quality and quantity of food. Will be back for more "themed brunch" Reservation recommended especially with larger groups. A lot of groups of families dine here.

What a hidden gem. The menu is different each week and all of it is high quality and masterfully crafted. This week's menu was Italian and I was very impressed with all the proteins (Osso Bucco, chicken Tuscany, tilapia Livornese) but for me the absolute star was the grilled veggies and the pastry table. Both we're beautifully presented and everything was delicious. You can bet good money I will be back.

Be prepared for a wait anywhere from 20-40 minutes, but it's honestly worth it. I ordered the 10-piece banh khot, and the portion size was huge! Somehow I stumbled upon Banh khot Vung tau first and it's hard not to compare the differences, hence the 3 rating. I'm not in HB/Westminster/FV/GG area that often. I'm usually there once a month for a pedicure. So after my pedicure my cravings always hit for Banh khot or Banh cuon or Spring rolls .If I can have all 3 at once that would be my death row meal LOL. Anywho I wanted my Vung tau, I came in an hr before closing and the owner had a sign out the door about closing an hr earlier for his daughter's birthday, which I respect wholeheartedly. I was going to go home defeated but I was like oh yea let me try Banh khot Lady ! It was only a mile and a half away. I pull up and my Lord the parking lot is a clusterf*ck. School was out so trying to pull in with the herd of teens crossing was overwhelming, somehow I got the last space right up front. It was Banh khot Wednesday so they were busy as hell!!!! The owner asked if I had a pick up order, I didn't, then he asked if I ever been there, also no. He broke it down, very straightforward menu. He had personality plus was so awesome to everyone coming in. I ordered 9 banh khots , a five piece egg roll and a bag of Chicarron. Wait wasn't too long for me but after it was for others placing their order right there. Fantastic timing on my part. I was starving so I opened the bag of chicarron and OMG CRAAAAACK!!!! I couldn't stop eating them. I had to force myself to stop so I didn't get sick. These were small crackling type pieces, not big puffed chicarron like a liquor store pork rind. I'd totally get it again! 10 stars! Got home, cracked open the Banh khot, I tried one naked without the lettuce mint cilantro fish sauce. Their Banh khot is drastically different than Vung. BKL banh khot were shrimp and pork together. The batter was thick like a mini pancake and spongy, a tad bland. I was too spoiled with Vungs banh khot, their BK are thin and crispy, like a delicious crispy shrimp crepe and lots of green onions and crack pepper sauce along with fish sauce. BKL could definitely use a pepper sauce and go heavy handed with the green onion to top. The texture just wasn't for me. Now the egg rolls! Those were damn delicious!!! Packed with protein. So good with wrapping them with the lettuce mix you're given. Dipped in fish sauce and added Sambal oelek , perfect bite! I'd easily come back for these! I'll definitely come back to BKL, for those addicting chicarrons and egg rolls and fantastic service. I'll get my BK at Vung and head over to BKL for the egg rolls LOL. Kill two birds with one stone. Don't be discouraged on trying their BKs , we all have different tastes. Texture and comparisons really weigh my judgment :)

Her transparency, responsiveness, attention-to-detail and professionalism consistently set her apart. Brittany was always proactive and reliable; we never had to chase for answers or run around in circles. One of the greatest advantages was her delivery of timely, updated quotes--something we deeply appreciated for effective budget management. Even before we booked the venue, Brittany walked us through detailed rain contingency plans, which proved invaluable when we encountered a once-in-a-blue-moon torrential downpour on our wedding day. As a bride coordinating family travel from across the globe--while also navigating significant challenges with an approved vendor--Brittany stepped in at critical moments and ensured the day ran smoothly from an operational standpoint. Our guests could not stop praising the outstanding, multicultural food (especially the bulgogi beef bao, dessert stations and confetti cake) and the thoughtful allergy accommodations, which were handled seamlessly. Guest experience was one of our top priorities, and Brittany's execution gave us complete confidence. On our wedding day, anything within her scope was something we never had to worry about - and the food was one of the TOP compliments received from guests. The only feedback we strongly encourage the business to consider is a thorough audit of its approved vendor list. Unfortunately, our greatest challenges stemmed from a vendor on this list. Brittany's efforts were instrumental in mitigating issues caused by this vendor that could have otherwise impacted the success of the event.
