I saw that they had a sandwich that paid an homage to the Vietnamese Banh Mi, but incorrectly spelled "Bhan" Mehuron. The owner reached back out to me via email the very next day. We had a great conversation and he stated that they will look into correcting the misspelling. It warms my heart to have my culture's food be shared within this community and it's wonderful to see an owner really take pride in what they offer. Great customer service and inventory. I highly recommend and will be back anytime I am in the area.

It's been in business for several decades and is cherished by the locals. That tells me everything. If you are headed up to ski or explore, stop here. Get used to a highly repetitive diet. Bakery is overly sweet. Food overall is a little pricier. No real sales as with the high-low supermarkets. Most of the fresh fruit is inedible. Just try ripening a peach and compare it to the succulent beauties at Shaw's! Despite my highly repetitive diet, they are chronically out of stock on one thing or another. They use an unnamed 3rd party delivery service, and they are literally (nickel and) diming me to death with all the single foods getting its own bag! This added 10 cents each to my cereal and to my frozen pops for getting their own bags. The Vermont bag fee is about reducing bags by charging 10 cents to DISCOURAGE USE OF BAGS ON SINGLE ITEMS. The delivery service either does not know this or does not care.

RIP prepared beverages. Abnormally generous employee benefits seem ripe for cost cutting, as these expenses are directly passed on to shoppers. I came back into town for a few days and stopped by to get some food for my trip and noticed they had a cafe serving sammie's and smoothies and had to try one. They were all dedicated GF which was so amazing since I have celiac disease and it's really hard to find good freshly prepared food without risking cross contact & getting sick. Hailey the owner (I hope i spelled that correctly) was the sweetest and I had a great conversation with her about nutrition. The co-op itself has so many gluten free, vegan, organic and locally sourced food options to buy in bulk or by the package. I love the environment they create here and the workers are always so friendly and helpful. They also have a section of pre-made food (most of which is vegan) and it all looks freshly made and delightful!
