We were looking for a place for breakfast on our drive from VT. Lou's did not disappoint. We sat at the counter, excellent service, very friendly. Ordered the breakfast quesadilla, holy cow it was huge. Really delicious. So many desserts and pastries available to eat. Home of the mile high pie. I dig the mid modern feel of this family local diner. They do a brisk takeout coffee & pastry business.

    Apple cider doughnut

The perfect breakfast spot with a large menu and options for everyone. I had the little green and an apple cider donut. Ham was great and the English muffin and sourdough were notable too--they are made in house. The donut was delicious and had a great texture and cinnamon flavor, although I did not have a strong cider flavor come through. Would come here every week if I was in town!!

The food was wonderful. Make sure you get the cruller French toast. Super nice vibes. Got in and got my food super fast. I really like the bar seating.

Seated at the counter. Warm, cozy spot. Quick service/food came out fast. Avocado toast on sourdough bread hit the spot!

    Chocolate cream pie

Embarrassed. Ordered a slice of pie to go and received this. Please ensure you peek at your food before departing for any orders to go. Quality is lacking for take away.

A Hanover classic Food: Maple Biscuit Sandwich 4/5: Got it with a side of mini hash brown- hash browns were solid but nothing too crazy. The maple biscuit sandwich was o really pretty good- tasted like a leaner, cleaner version of a McGriddle with biscuit buns. Iced Coffee 4/5: Standard iced coffee, generous sizes- really effective at getting you wired for the day- strong than some competing coffees on the street Ambience: Classic diner feel, great spot to visit

Decent diner. Above average tasting comfort food in a popular (sometimes boisterous) cozy setting. VERY popular for weekend breakfast (regardless of what Google Live states).

We had breakfast here and ordered a variety of dishes. We had the lil green, big green, a chicken and waffle and another big green. Over easy eggs, crueller french toast, has browns and a orange cranberry muffin along with a banana pecan muffin also a cup of coffee. Service was very quick and the waitress took our order right away and we did make a change on our order and she was able accommodate us. The restaurant was cozy, quaint and had the feel of a diner where one could enjoy the company of others and there was no rush. Loved our service toady and had an exceptional meal!

I love this place! This is my third time stopping in Hanover to eat at Lou's. This is the quintessential New Hampshire breakfast and lunch place with an old-fashioned homey feel, exceptionally friendly staff, and the best gluten free muffins anywhere. Seating is a bit tight, parking is paid-only, and the walk to the bathrooms is dicey, but the food is worth it!

    Maple Sausage Biscuit

Tbe food was horrible and overpriced, as a Chef I am sickened by the lack of care or effort put into these dishes. The pototoes where black and hard, biscuit hard and dry egg overdone. I wouldn't take my enemy to eat here.

    Mixed berry pie.

The service is friendly. Brandon was my server for the evening, and he did not miss a beat. He was very attentive and provided great advice on the menu. The bees knees cocktail was so balanced, and one of the best tasting ones compared to so many restaurants that make this overly lemony or too sweet with honey. When I was asked if I would like bread, I asked what, if anything, was special about it. Brandon says, welll the bread is good but the highlight is the chimichurri sauce. Immediately intrigued, I found the dipping sauce to be less chimichurri and more like a delicious salad dressing but it was strangely addictive to dip bread in. The flash grilled Caesar had a delicious homemade dressing and briny sardines, very good as well. For dinner, I ordered the char-grilled teres major steak, paired with malbec. The steak came covered with an au poivre sauce, cooked perfectly medium, and so juicy. This was complemented by roasted carrots, and potabello mushroom, onion, and potato hash. The potatoes were large, crispy cubes. There was nothing about this meal that was less than stellar. I highly recommend it with the malbec! For how amazing this restaurant is, I was surprised that the price wasn't goug-ey. I wouldn't hesitate to come here for a great night out.

The store did not disappoint -- it's a baker's paradise in every sense. Every possible ingredient, tool, pan, piece of equipment, and baking mix you could imagine is here, beautifully displayed and easy to browse. The space is bright, immaculate, and extremely well organized, with helpful staff ready to answer questions or point you toward something new. There's also a demonstration kitchen and a café, which adds even more to the experience. While their website is fantastic (and what we've relied on for years), the in‑person store is absolutely worth the trip. Whether you're an avid baker or looking for the perfect gift for someone who is, this is a destination worth driving for. We're so glad we finally made it -- and we'll be talking about this stop for a long time.

The baking school looked nice, too!…read more The breakfast sandwich on "milk bread" was on what seemed like a regular hamburger bun, though, and the sandwich seemed pre-made, with the fried egg completely well done. The cappuccino was delicious, though, with pretty latte art. Sat in the outdoor area with umbrellas and flowers; much of the "campus" had logo decor for photos and such. Unfortunately, a language exchange group took up much of the shaded seating, though only a couple cups of coffee in front of ~15 folks (please, buy something and support the business if you're going to take up that much space)?! Worth a visit and especially on a sunny day. Bough a few items at the shop and felt better!
