Although I was tempted by many items on this menu, I went with the mofongo chicken habanero and arroz con gandules. Ladling the bone broth over each bite of mofongo created very comforting mouthfuls. I would've preferred pork belly instead of chicken, but we already had it as an appetizer so I opted for chicken habanero. I feel the breading on the chicken was a little too filling for this dish and the pork would've added some needed sweetness. Overall a substantial meal with exotic flavors. I appreciate the changing menu, and look forward to seeing what's next! Comparing older photos of the menu, there's no longer a time restriction for burgers and sandwiches (all available after 3 PM). Found this gem while in Homestead, FL. Located on a corner near Krome. This is a Puerto Rican restaurant with all the best Puerto Rican fare! It's decorated in typical hibaro fashion (iykyk). There is both indoor and outdoor seating. There is street parking and I think you might be able to park behind the restaurant. We couldn't figure out how to get there...lol. The service was friendly and the waitress gave great suggestions. For our appetizer we had the Alcapurria's. They were sooooo good! For my main, I had the El Yunque Burger. It was delicious! Had everything but the kitchen sink in it but the combo worked! There was even mofongo in the burger. My fiance had the El Pork Belly tapa with Truffle fries. The El Pork Belly was scrumptious! Fell off the bone with tostones or fried green plantains ( for my English speaking folks). The Truffle fries were also very good. I can't recommend this place enough! Go there when in Homestead. Love this place so much ! We are doing TAKE Out for now because I am currently recovering from ACL and meniscus surgery but the best treat for me is food from this restaurant. I feel it's one of the best restaurants in homestead. The service is amazing and the owners and chef are so friendly and nice. Although it is labeled as a Caribbean restaurant, the food is primarily Puerto Rican & burgers. The wait staff was very nice & the food came out fairly quickly. The bolitas de queso were not your typical cheese balls, they were a little less dense than most & the guava sauce was a bit different & less sweet than most with less guava flavor. As a lover of all things cheese, the Mac & cheese was way too cheesy but the brisket was quite good & it was a nice balance. El Bori Philly was a nice size & flavorful. Absolutely incredible! The service was great, the two waitresses were so helpful and fun. We got a Chino Tainio chicken sandwich and a smash burger as our main courses. The chicken sandwich was SO good. The smash burger was also great, a classic delicious burger. For dessert we had the key like empanadas and wow. Amazing food here. Got food to bring to work for lunch here. Ordered the Chicken Caribowl. Probably the best arroz con guandules I ever had. The rice very delicious, well seasoned and lots of flavor to go along with the chicken the pickled onions and that scoop of potato salad. I also had the surulitos. My wife and I stopped here on our way back to Bradenton from the keys. I read the reviews and was impressed so we both tried the burgers and we were very happy with our choices. In the words of Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction "very tasty burgers." Classic smash burgers cooked with a flat top crust. I would absolutely recommend this place and I would eat there again anytime I was in the area. The service was also first class. This is a very small restaurant with very little seating but with a nice vibe to it. Very friendly staff and a chef that takes pride in his cooking. Food always comes out fresh and with a great presentation. The food always has a great blends of flavors. This visit I tried there "I just want a burger." I asked for it medium rare and it was prepared exactly that way and they included everything that I had asked for. Our waitress was friendly and always available. Prices are good and they offer specials and a good variety of choices. When we leave if the cook sees us he always thanks us personally for coming in. Very warm and friendly staff. Bare in mind that the dining area is considerably small, so there may be a wait. They told us 30 minutes, but we ended up sitting in 5 minutes. We started with the queso and oink fries: topped with pernil, a mix of three cheeses (cojita, mexican, chipotle) and some herbs. The fries were perfectly crispy and crunchy, and the cheese sauce was warm and flavorful. Mains: El Parce Burger- Perfect thickness and was delicious with savory white cheese paired with sweet pineapple jam! unbelievable! Came here for dinner on a Friday night. For the moment theyre only doing outdoor seating. I passed by the back patio before coming in and didn't see many people there, but I was told it was full. They had 2 small tables out front so I was seated there. Seemed to be some general confusion there and a relatively small staff, so I wouldn't come here in a rush I was initially attracted to this spot because of the unusual items I saw on their menu. In particular the plantain crusted fish sounded super intriguing. Unfortunately it seems like they've down sized their menu over the past few years to a core of burgers, mofongo and a couple of miscellaneous entrees and apps While the burgers did seem interesting, mofongo felt more in their sweet spot so I went for the chicken mofongo and was not disappointed! The mofongo was super garlicky and rich from the chicarrones. One turn off I've often found with mofongo in the US is that they tend to be too dry, but the bone broth gave it the moist texture I was hoping for The chicken itself was good. My mindset for a dish where the meat isn't the star is you don't want it to be memorable, since it's usually not for good reasons, and this dish certainly accomplished that. The portion size was enough where I was satisfied, but certainly could've shared an appetizer before and not felt gross after. Overall, I think this is a good spot if you're in the area, but it won't be the absolute star of your trip to the Everglades read more

I've been eyeing this restaurant for a while on DoorDash and I finally decided to check them out. I ordered the Caribowl with chicken and it was pretty good. The chicken was cooked well, but there was just way too much sauce on everything. I will definitely ask for the sauce on the side if I order again. The egg was also a bit too underdone for me, as it had that clear substance (not the yolk) on it that got all over my rice.
