    Rib combo

Stopped in for a late lunch and Betty was very helpful and efficient. I had the Jumbo Brisket platter with cornbread soufflé and coleslaw. Nice portion of tasty brisket and the soufflé was amazing. Could have used more bark and smoke on the brisket but it was good. Son had the three rib combo with hash brown casserole and hush puppies. Ribs had a nice bark and good smoke flavor. He enjoyed both sides. Relaxed atmosphere with picnic benches for seating.

AMAZING! Was the best BBQ I've ever had especially coming from Texas . Loved it ! Recommend ! We came from snorkling at biscayne nat Park and was hungry for some BBQ definitely met a Texans standard ! Very very nice people eating there and working there .

Loved this BBQ joint! First the food quality is amazing, it's so good that some menu items do sell out. The service has been excellent, however it gets busy during the evenings and there is a longer wait time. Absolutely worth it though! I love the rustic look inside it's very homey, but I'm not a fan of the community style tables especially when it's packed. Still I'm giving five stars because it's really really good bbq!

Just another sampling of items off the menu. The ribs are tender and fall off the bone.

Shiver's BBQ still amazing, still has a friendly staff, and always hits the spot!!! ^.^ Rich Smokey flavors, homemade bbq beans, corn bread mash, sweet potatoes, etc. My absolute favorite is the Beef Brisket a must try with any side you pair it with is good. This mom and pop BBQ spot has been here for many many years and the atmosphere is friendly no wonder they have been in business for decades. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

This is definiitely one of those homestead \ Naranja originals. Outside definiitely looks like an old western movie. I ordered takeout. Ribs, pull pork, beef brisket, fries and hush puppies. Everything was good. It wasn't nothing special though just good. I am not that big fan of a BBQ food. Maybe I will come back.

This place is a Homestead staple. It's been around forever. This is genuine and authentic BBQ. The place has a lot of open seating, it's just popular so you'll sometimes have to wait. Service is good, just know you have to wait cause they pump out a lot of orders. The food is super delicious. My favorite is hands down the burnt ends. You have to try it.

Wow!! I guess this place has been around since 1950! 76 years!! It was delicious!! We hit this place on our way back from Key West. We stopped at Robert Was Here, first. It's a few miles down the road. It is very casual, with a roll of paper towels at your bench. We were fans of the sweet sauce and honey mustard sauce. Great price with a ton of food!!

Shiver's BBQ is a staple BBQ spot in Homestead. My friends have been raving about this spot over the years and we finally decided to take a lil adventure down to Homestead to get it with a group of friends. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy since we were able to grab a seat with a group of 6 and my friend says that there is usually a line out the door. Seating is on what looks like large, communal picnic-style tables so get ready to get friendly with a few folks. Our server was super quick and friendly. My friends are regulars here from over the years so we knew what to order right away. We all mainly came here for their famous brisket burnt ends but unfortunately they were completely out when we came. That's the only reason I can't really give this spot five stars because everything we tried was just good, in my opinion, and I was really looking forward to this. It was also the beginning of the day when they opened when we came so it was a bummer they didn't have this. We ended up ordering a whole bunch of other stuff. Their plates and combos all come with two sides and they have a big variety to choose from. All my friends are huge fans of this place so I think I had too high of expectations coming in. Again, everything was good but just not too out of the ordinary in my opinion. I'm also not the biggest BBQ fan so I think I have high expectations when it comes to BBQ. Overall, still a good spot if you want some classic BBQ if you happen to be in the Homestead area. Not sure if it's worth the drive from anywhere more north like Broward of PBC but worth a stop if you're here!

My Burnt End Sandwich with Hush Puppies and Cornbread Soufflé

This is my 3rd time coming here and you know what they say...third time's the charm. And it was. The food was delicious and the service was great and the ambiance was nice. (It would've been better if that screaming baby wasn't there.) Anyways, I always try to have something different to a restaurant that I have been to before. And it didn't disappoint me. I ordered the burnt tips sandwich with hush puppies and cornbread soufflé and my fiancé had the half of chicken with the same sides as me. But this time I ordered the salted caramel cheesecake to go. It was so mouth watering, I can't wait to go back and try something new. I would still recommend this place to anyone who is willing to drive for awesome barbecue. Two thumbs up.

Very authentic and tasty! It took like 1/2 h for our food , but it's worthy. We will come back !

Head to this place to step back in time. It's family style seating in a tiny building way down south. The bbq is GOOD. My only complaint, if it is one, is that they finish it with too much sauce. I'd rather taste the pork rather than it be slathered in bbq sauce. I loved the collard greens and enjoyed the beans, but the corn soufflé was a little greasy. Overall, I'd order the spare ribs and the greens again. The service was great - I think I'd go nuts working there but they were all grace under pressure. It gets pretty toasty inside, so don't wear a jacket. The car picture is just for fun. :) I love VWs and there were 3 antiques parked outside.

This is your spot if the vibe you're looking for is family-style and laid-back BBQ without all the bells and whistles. The menu is concise and, I must preach, very decently priced. They have combo meals and bowls that are sure to please all tastes and appetites. Our group started with sharing their loaded tots topped with brisket and crispy onions. The tots were hot, crunchy and finished as quickly as they came to our table. Hubbs and I shared their 3-protein combo with jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and pulled pork, sided with baked beans, baked sweet potato and green beans. I love me some good BBQ but what's BBQ without sauce?! They have a solid selection from sweet heat to smoky to tart so you're bound to find one that suits your mood. Mine,l of course was the sizzlin sweet. It had a slight little dab of what I'd call Tabasco-level heat, which isn't much for me but is probably enough for most. And yes, I simply put that sh!z on everything. I also loved the slow-baked sweet potato that came wrapped in foil with all of its natural sweetness oozing out. For me, that's why it's a favored potato cause it doesn't need much else. However that honey butter they brought for it was the icing on the cake. This is the perfect $20 dish to share which makes it worth coming back again sooner rather than later. Especially if you're returning from the sandbar and can hit up their drive-thru on the way home. That's the biggest win in my book.
