When I was in the directory business, we had a service that verified listings. You apparently simply post a business and let it flap in the breeze forever and ever, amen. The least you could do is have a checkbox for "this business is closed" and have a follow-up team make a phone call or two... AND DELETE LISTINGS for establishments that no longer exist. Your service is descending into irrelevance.
