I had a very disappointing experience at Chelsi Nails in Wendell. I went in for a gel manicure and pedicure, and despite the salon being relatively empty with no wait, the service felt rushed from the start. The nail technician repeatedly pressured me to quickly choose a color, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. The pedicure itself was especially poor. I had to continuously point out basic issues that should have been addressed without prompting. She did not fully remove my previous nail polish or clean under my toenails. When I mentioned it, she said she would take care of it later, which did not inspire confidence. It only got worse from there. Before applying lotion, she barely used the pumice stone on my heels. When I asked about it, I was told that using a pumice stone was an extra charge. While I found that surprising since it's a basic part of most pedicures, I agreed to pay the additional cost--only to be told it was "too late." After finishing the polish, she asked if I still wanted the manicure, which I declined due to the poor quality of the pedicure. I also had a 20% off coupon that was clearly advertised on both their website and Instagram for all pedicures. Initially, she claimed it was only valid for new customers, but after checking with someone else, it was confirmed that I was correct. In the end, I paid for a pedicure but felt like I only received a basic polish change. I value both my time and money, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet even basic expectations. Had such a horrible experience here from beginning to end. Came here for the first time, based on the pretty pictures of nails they have on their website. I needed a full set of nails and a gel pedicure. I arrived and they took me in right away, starting with pedicure. A pedicure is supposed to be a RELAXING experience, and this was everything BUT that. First, they start the pedicure water and pass you a pedicure booklet menu with the page already turned to the most expensive pedicure ($60). Whatever, I understand the hustle. I just asked for a basic pedicure with white gel nail polish. Immediately as I sit and get comfortable, another nail tech comes and takes my hand and starts gluing acrylic nails on me and she is standing up. I told her that i am in no hurry and I can wait to sit at her table for my nails. She said "no I can do this". I had to stop the massage chair because now I am being pulled every which way. In my mind, I thought she was just getting a little ahead on my nails. SHE DID THE WHOLE SET! No machine grinder to smooth out the acrylic. Mind you, my pedicure shape came out horrible and not even. I couldn't even focus on ONE problem. The nail tech first told me she was getting ahead on my nails, in order to prep me for a better tech that does nail designs- that never happened. She even cut my middle finger and made me bleed. I had to ask for alcohol because she just ignored it. Anyway, the tech shaped my nails horribly, didn't have the basic color I wanted, could not do a basic design, RUSHED ME, cut me, and at the end gave me an OUTRAGEOUS price that came from who knows where. I made an appointment and they allowed me to come in early, I show them this photo ( will link) and it didn't come out like that at all. One they didn't tell me to wash my hands before anything, two the lady told me if I didn't like anything to let her know, and I for sure did ! And every time she made excuses why it looked like that and kept acting frustrated, I feel like she charged me a lot because I was young and she felt like I wouldn't tip. I haven't gotten my nails done in a while and this is the second time choosing this place, AFTER I WAS HIGHLEY disappointed from the last!! Why did I go again !!!?? Idk. I could do 99% better painting if I did my own nails, after she said they'd be 90 not 95 she proceeded to say "I'm just working" trying to make me feel bad for her. this nail spa is only about money, they do not listen at all. my wife got mistreated today there. Was way over charge and would not listen to the customer. $115.00 for service, which she never paid that much before. Didn't even break down the charge. there is no price chart. so they charge as they feel I guess. please find a better place for your nails. plus the owner is rude and will not listen at all. read more

If i could rate this 0 stars I would... the lady who did my nails RUSHED me out- and it shows. I've never ever had chipped gel nails ever and this really frustrates me as I spent $30 for less than 1 week for nails? I got gel nail polish which normally always lasts me 3 weeks, but as you can see from the photos attached, they chipped and it's been less than 1 week. This is my second time going to this salon and Danny has done my nails both times. The first time he did my nails I felt a bit rushed but I was okay because my nails looked so good. This time I went back and although it was not a rushed service I was definitely not as happy with the finished product. First, when I came in I explicitly stated that I wanted a bright pink color but not neon pink. I could not find a pink on the nail rings so Danny and I went to the wall. I ended up going with one that looked more fuschia. So as I was getting my nails done I noticed it was looking to be more of a red than pink. At this point one coat had been done on my nails but I make a comment about it. Danny made the statement "well you chose the color not me." This is true but as a nail tech when you know I was wanting a pink color why wouldn't you say I don't think this is the color you were going for instead of blaming me. But I didn't catch an attitude even though I was annoyed at this point. Instead I just made the statement that I really wanted a pink color and this doesn't look like the color that I really wanted, then he stated "don't worry I will make you happy." So I was like okay and I let him finish. The finished product was obviously more red which is not what I wanted. When he finished I pretty much paid and left it wasn't worth it to me to say I am not happy because I wasn't asked and I know he knew at that point. Also, I knew I didn't have time to start over with the services. When I got to the car I almost went back in because when I got to the car I noticed that there were swivel marks, texture marks and unclean finish on some of my nails. While it was not obvious it upset me even more because I paid $45 dollars just for dip powder nails. This is the cost without even a manicure which I think is on the high side but I was willing to pay it because I was pleased with the outcome of the first visit. Paying that much I should walk out a lot happier than what I did. The reason I gave this establishment two stars even though I was disappointed is because I really want this business to succeed and I think Danny is a nice guy. I just want to be honest about my experience and hope that the establishment will address this differently in the future. read more

I'm being gracious by giving this place a 1 star. Came in to have my nails done for the first time after reading the great reviews; however, my experience was terrible! I made an appointment and realized they were busy so I waited 25 minutes before I got my nails done. The owner, Danny was very unprofessional and was rude to his employees. He told me he was the creator of chisel powder but couldn't do my nails with it?! Had another nice woman there do my nails and I think nobody knew how to use the powder. After 2 hours of getting my nails done, I found my nails to be sticky and uneven! They did give me 10 dollars off bc of the wait and I called back to let them know that I was unhappy and wanted a refund. Danny said he could not give me a refund and he could redo them... but I trust my people at nail fashion in Wendell and will never ever go back to this salon. read more

Poor work and they do not know how to do any nail designs if you want designs you have to go somewhere else. The owner is rude and unprofessional. I had an appointment with her and waited over 45 minutes. The sign-in machine that is supposed to track your visits and accumulate points is rigged to only Show that you have 4 POINTS no Matter how many times you visit the salon so that you don't get a discount, I have mentioned it to them and nothing has been done. I do not recommend this place. I have been here three times with the hope that the service would get better. Not so, the staff here always seem to be in a rush and miss several steps every single time in the pedicure process. Literally, they close at 7pm but appear to be ready to leave at 5:30. To top it off, they charge and additional $20 for GEL POLISH. Absurd. And then the manager had the audacity to tell me that this is the standard price everywhere as if I have never had gel polish before elsewhere and despite the fact that I paid $10 a few weeks ago for the same polish at this exact location. I am highly disappointed with the level of service I received here. My mom and I went here as a fun outing and it turned into a disaster. They told us that two gel pedicures would be ONE HUNDRED dollars. We told them that we would like regular polish for that reason. Apparently they did not understand and proceeded to put gel on our toes without our knowledge. When it came time to pay they charged us for gel. We explained the situation and they offered us to undo the gel and redo it with regular. That was the only way they would charge us the price we asked for. As a result we had to stay for another 40-50 minutes to redo our nails, missing out on time with our family we only see once a year. Not to mention they did not give the 10% off discount they promised and charged people with credit cards 4% more when it's typically 3%.
