While I was telling her to take it off my hands because it was burning all the workers were laughing they then made me wait an additional 30 minutes to paint my nails on top of that I paid 225 and didn't receive any discount I do not recommend coming here this also isn't the first they attend others that arrived after me and have me waiting. Since we've been in Wendell we've come to Nail Fashion for nail enhancements and pedicures. Generally always pleased. Today, I arrived, on a Saturday just after noon and they were practically empty. I had a tech I've never used and I presented him with the shape and color I wanted, after telling him they were too short and that the color was off...he only asked if they were short enough. He completely ignored my concerns. I didn't have it in me to repeatedly address it. It's been a long week and I was using this as a pick me up and refresher. Total opposite experience! Completely disappointed and dissatisfied. I had to ask him to clean up the spillage under the nails after he sent me to rinse my hands. I've been getting my nails done for 25 years and never have I been so displeased. I may call when I've settled down but I couldn't address it at that moment. I paid and left. I selected that I may recommend, considering if you know your tech and the tech listens to your requests. That didn't happen here. Wrong color, impossible shaping and the length...furious. read more

I was in desperate need to get a broken nail repaired, and Nail Fashions was kind enough to help me. They took me as a walk-in, and I only waited about ten minutes. I was having the most difficult time finding a nearby nail salon that at least had the had knowledge and skill of one of Charlotte's less than great salons (CLT has some GREAT ones). Each time I come in this nail salon, there is an issue. The guy, with short hair and sits on the left side, next to the clock , is beyond rude. This is the second time I've gotten him and he refuses to do my nails the way I want them. Today, I asked for a fill in and he told me I had to get a new set. I have had a fill in with ombré powder before here, but today all of a sudden it couldn't be done. I switched nail techs and the guy quoted me $37. I get to the new tech, Nikki, and she tells me $40. Last time I came, I paid $35. The time before that was $32. They will charge you whatever they feel that day. I took my daughter in for a polish and she got a design on her finger, even though she couldn't get the one she wanted (her fingers were too small) the manicuresist was still able to give her a pretty design. I went in for a fill in and walked out with glamorous nails that make me feel beautiful. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. Will return for sure! read more

So I came in today to get a manicure and a pedicure. When I came in a spoke directly to the gentleman that was going to do my nails. He was super nice, younger guy (may have been new?). I told him I wanted a gel American French pedicure when he asked for color. He said okay and seated me for my pedicure. After we are halfway through with the pedicure and I had already chose the most expensive pedicure they have (because this is my Mother's Day gift and the one time a year I get to get my nails done) he then asked me again about color. I replied with exactly want I wanted and then he calls another gentleman over and ask him what American French pedicure is. The other gentlemen then tells me that they don't have the off-white color for the American pedicure. How does a salon with hundreds of colors not have off-white?! Anyway... I tell him regular French gel pedicure is fine. I am a little irritated at this point because this is the one time a year I am able to do this type of luxury and it's nothing like I wanted. I am texting my babysitter because at this point I've been in a pedicure chair for an hour and a half. I then glance down and he is doing a regular French. I have a dog and two small kids and regular polish last a few days with me when it comes to hitting my toes on toys. The pedicure itself was awesome and I did like the gentleman, but terrible communication because even though the pedicure was great, the color that I am stuck with is no means what I wanted. I wish I would have known this upfront and that they verified. Maybe next Mother's Day I can go somewhere else that can get it right... until next year. PS: the appointment took an hour and a half and I wasn't even able to get my manicure. There was no wait. That was just seat time. My total ended up being $50. read more

Rudeness to the 10th degree! My mother-in-law and I went to this nail salon (1/17/20 @ 5:15pm) longing for a relaxing experience and we came out feeling like we were doing the staff a favor. I'm visiting Houston, Texas and this place made me feel as if I wasn't going to pay-up for service's and even made me question if they had a problem with my skin tone. When we first walked in we were greeted by a young Asian staff with a dry personality and bad customer service skills. I told myself "maybe he's having an rough day" yeah, right, little did I know what experience I was walking into. So, we sat down at the pedi station, staff came and started working on me then I asked her a couple of simple questions and she answered me very short and rude. I asked one last question asking "do you work on nails too (full-set)" she looked at me like "duh B" and walked away to grab a warm towel for my legs. I then had to check-her and say "Am I bothering you by asking you a few questions? Because if I am you don't have to work on me". After that her attitude changed and was nice but damn I had to that to get some respect. This place was a waste of my time! I came to this salon because it was local and had great reviews. I guess I did ask for a complicated color scheme to be fair, however, this was the worst anyone has ever done on my nails. My nails are uneven and the shape looks terrible. My thumb nails look like a big blob of paint. Also, these colors don't really come close to what I wanted. After she put the dip powder on, she asked if I like the color and I told her I didn't like the sparkles on my fourth fingernail, and she said she couldn't redo it, only with gel- so why even ask if you're not going to fully fix it? The male nail tech with the fuller hair did not want to hear if you had a concern about how you want your nails done. He painted my toes with a space next to my cuticles (which looks like my polish is peeling and needing a "fill in" before I even left the salon) I asked him to paint closer to the cuticle and he didn't understand so I asked and showed him with the brush. To which he responded "you want to do it yourself?" No, I am simply showing you, because I understand we may have a language barrier with each other. Then, for my nails they were cut unevenly and I asked if he could file the edge of one nail. He lightly adjusted, but there was still a noticeable slant. So I turned my hand around so he could see it from my angle and pov. He rudely and borderline aggressively turned my hand around and still didn't adjust it right. I was done at that point. I left dissatisfied and frustrated because I was not rude to him, I just was honest about what I wanted. I drove 30 mins because I was recommended this place. Felt like a waste. I've gone to this place a few times and it wasn't a terrible experience. However, the last time I went I made a 10:00am appointment. I arrived on time and a gentlemen began working on my fill in. He was rushing and being very rough while filing causing my skin to burn. I also made request for my nails that he ignored more than once. This prompted me to ask for a new nail tech, in which he didn't like. So he walked a way exchanged a few rude comments to his coworker Nikki. As I waited for an hour and a half at the front one nail tech finally finished her clients manicure. A few minutes earlier a lady had rushed in who was 30 minutes late for her 11am appointment. They took her instead of me although I was first in line. When I kindly reminded the man that I came before hand he told me "she had an appointment" although I came first and had an appointment for 10am. It's all about customer service. That's very important. Especially because you're paying with money you work hard for. In addition to wasting my time and energy. I want to first state that the nail techs are awesome! My issue is with management. My mother and I had been visiting the establishment for approx. 10 months, we were happy with the service. On Saturday, July 29 my mom and I after getting our nails done requested a pedicure. We were told we needed to wait a moment in that the techs were busy. We most certainly understood and waited patiently. The nail techs then proceeded to begin our pedicures. My mom and I decided to get the works, which is what we always do. As we were finishing up with the service, my mom had the paraffin wax bags on her feet and my nail tech was preparing to put the wax on my feet. We were then asked to move without being given a reason. The tech literally had to bring a chair over to my mom so that she would not walk on the floor with the plastic on her feet. We were asked to sit a nail station to continue the service. My mom and I soon realized we were asked to move because there were 2 customers awaiting pedicures as well. My mother had even inquired with the tech as to why we were being moved, she just stated "it"s alright". I have never dealt with this form of unprofessional behavior in all my years of visiting mail salons. My mother and I will never return to this establishment and I will be.contacting the manager as well. I believe his name is Justin. I'm sure it will not truly matter in the long run but just wanted potential customers to be aware. read more
