Ok, ya'll. This place is AMAZING. I am new to the area and have been looking for a salon. My hair was FRIED...I mean, seriously off-the-hook. I booked an appointment with master colorist Jennifer. She transformed my hair from a rats nest to completely gorgeous. The salon is quaint and stylish, and the stylists have great personalities. Awesome atmosphere. I recently moved to The Villages from SW Florida and dreaded trying to find a new hairdresser. Luckily I went online to look for reviews in my general area and discovered Cameo's Salon in Ocala. I specifically requested Jenn after reading such great reviews and had my first color and cut today with her. Wow, I could not be happier with not only what she did but how she went about it! She's friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and seemed to really GET me and what I was hoping she could do. It was a great experience from start to finish! The salon had a nice vibe and I really appreciate the results Jenn was able to achieve with my color, cut, and styling. My husband IMMEDIATELY complimented me when he saw it, too! I had my first appointment at Cameo Salon today. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, who offered me beverages, a comfortable seat and magazines while I waited for my stylist. Jennifer arrived very shortly after I sat down, greeted me pleasantly and we discussed my hair routines and what I was looking for. I received a wash, scalp cleansing, deep conditioning, cut and blow dry. It was amazing! I definitely recommend Jemnifer @ Cameo. read more

I was very happy with Britney in my first experience here. Right when I walked in and checked in, the receptionist offered me a beverage while I waited the short wait for my appointment time. The pricing here is phenomenal compared to other area beauty salons in Ocala and Britney did such a wonderful job with my dye job, my haircut, my hair styling and my eyebrows waxing that I would definitely highly recommend Cameo's to others! The other stylists that I watched do hair also were very competent in doing hair, so if you can't get an appointment with Britney then use one of the other wonderful stylists at the salon. I'll be back next month for my dye touch-up and all of the above again! read more

Great place, first went on a Groupon in December, had high/low lights done, full haircut with change in style, and natural nails with gel and glitter for New Year's eve. I made new appointments today for the same in the next month. Was very impressed with staff and management, and it's making my transition to Ocala much easier. read more

I've been searching for the perfect salon since I moved to Ocala 3/1/15. I should have come to Cameos first! The salon is very clean and beautiful. The atmosphere is very friendly. The employees actually act happy to be there. Brandy cut and styled my hair, and it is exactly what I've been wanting for a long time!! Would highly recommend! Prices are great, the salon is incredibly clean, and the service is always wonderful. My first visit was in June to donate 8 inches of hair. Jen did a great job, was patient, and handled my hair like a pro! I have now gone back 4 times since, and don't want to go anywhere else. Every time I'm in, I am offered coffee, soda, or wine. I'm always treated with respect. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I purchased a Groupon for this salon to get a manicure and pedicure for myself and a friend. The stylist who did our nails informed us they did not have a technician but that the stylists were taking turns. She did however due a pretty good job. I'm glad she didn't cut my nails but filed them instead. She also used a file on the bottoms of my feet but did not get all the dead skin. The experience was very pleasant but I would not go in the future as they are too expensive. read more

My sister was getting married in Ocala, and last minute (like a week before) we decided that the rest of us in the bridal party wouldn't have time to do our own makeup and hair, and that we needed some help. (for 9 girls!!) We called around to a few salons and we chose Cameo's based on their professionalism and helpfulness. They also had very competitive pricing, considering we needed both hair and make-up done, for 9 girls, on site of the wedding. I spoke with the owner Michael, and he was more than accommodating, and really had me confident that I wouldn't have anything to worry about on my sister's big day. He sent over Jennifer and Danielle, who showed up exactly on time and fully prepared for our army of girls. They were extremely helpful and organized. If we asked for a change or tweak, they were more than happy to oblige. They even touched me up after I had spent an two hours running around in the 91 degree weather trying to finalize details. I was extremely impressed with their patience as I was pulled in several directions as they were trying to get me finished up. 9 girls plus family members running around. This place was a zoo! I would highly recommend Cameo's and they were a pleasure to work with. I will have some pictures soon! read more
