Waitress was very nice and attentive without being annoying. The bread was warm and soft and the whipped butter was to die for. The Filet Crostini was so so good but we will the crostini was crispier as it got a little soggy from the juices. We really enjoyed our meals! The drinks were just okay. The Blueberry Smash was disappointing. Maybe add some missed blueberries if you're calling it a blueberry smash? The decor has a modern rustic vibe and we were sat in the upstairs. We'll definitely be back in the future as there was some much on the menu we wanted to try!

Calvin behind the bar was fantastic and made an incredible fresh-squeezed blood orange margarita. The food really stood out. The brie with blueberry sauce was a perfect sweet-savory combo, and the wings were packed with flavor. My burger (loaded with cheddar, egg, and bacon) was massive and cooked just right. Bun also made in house. The homemade pickles had a nice kick, and the haystack onion rings were super crispy. We ended with tiramisu and blueberry cheesecake--both delicious and made in house. Love that everything is farm-to-table. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Easy to find right off of Rt 287 and plenty of parking in the back. Avgolemono soup to start was loaded with chicken, and the soup itself was delicious (shh...better than my Mom's when I was a kid - she's now 91. Please don't tell her and break her heart). The crab cake was, no lie, ENTIRELY, made of crab. Amazing! The veggie chip appetizer was also amazing - large thin crisps, not greasy and so good! 3rd starter was their beet salad - so refreshing. If you're not a huge beet lover (I'm not) try it anyway - the earthiness of the beets are mellowed quite a bit and blend nicely with the dressing, tomatoes and feta. For dinner, I had the half-chicken meal - the chicken was excellent with a flavorful lemon sauce and perfectly buttery creamy mashed potatoes. Wow! My wife had the shrimp with pasta - shrimp were huge, sauce well balanced with the pasta and shrimp. Our friends had fish specials - one coated in pistachio and the other a healthy portion of halibut. Both were very pleased with their dishes. For dessert, the pistachio tartufo was great, and my kataifi ekmek was very delicious. Oh - and cocktails were well made. Definitely coming back to Krios! Staff is wonderful! "Krios" in Greek can mean "Main", "Dominant"...you get the idea. Proper name given this meal tonight dominated for sure! Be sure to give them a try !!

The menu is incredibly diverse, offering an excellent selection of pasta, seafood, chicken, and steak. The food is beautifully prepared. The lemon lobster ravioli was cooked to perfection with an outrageously delicious, perfectly balanced zesty lemon flavor. Even better was the Tartufo Risotto with black truffle--the rich flavor profile was incredible and prepared flawlessly. For dessert, the homemade pistachio cheesecake was decadent, velvety smooth, and packed with creamy flavor. We also loved the extra special Banana Strawberry Flambé, which was prepared tableside right in the intimate dining room for everyone to see! Our service team, led by Blendi, was on top of everything. They were incredibly attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. With great food, sharp service, and very decent pricing, this restaurant is highly recommended. It is an easy 5-minute drive right off Route 287. There is a small parking lot in the rear, plus plenty of local neighborhood and street parking. Reservations are recommended but not required. We will definitely be back!

Fountain soda has the usual suspects, plus red birch beer which I had to get since you don't see it everywhere! Fries were hot and super crispy, with a nice soft fluffy interior. The hot dogs reminded me of other places in the area--think the Hot Grill in Clifton. Two make a good lunch. I'd definitely return to try more of the menu.

The Lantern keeps a…read moredelightfully vintage menu and aesthetics - serving up old-fashioned hotdogs, burgers, milkshakes, egg cream(!), fries, sandwiches, wraps, ice cream, breakfast foods and more - but not in any kind of intentional hipsterish way...which makes it authentically hip in my book. Their signature item is the hot Texas weiner. Now a Texas weiner ain't like any other chili dog. It's a fried hot dog, topped with a special spiced meat chili sauce (no beans), which you can and should get dressed "all the way," with chili, onions, and mustard. And btw it's not a Texas thing; it's a New Jersey thing...by way of Greece. The chili sauce on a Texas weiner is particular (and not to be confused with your standard-issue chili con carne), and the taste can be divisive. Some people love it; others like my husband didn't care for the chili or the flavor of the dog. It's one of those things, IYKYK I guess. I for one did enjoy my weiner. And my roast beef club and tater tots w/ cheese both hit the spot. It's simple and straightforward food, nothing fancy. I can get with the back-to-basics-ness of the joint which fits with the theme. This should be an irresistible destination for any road trippers and curiosity food seekers. There is ample seating inside, with two dining sections. And the people who work here are nice. The older lady who took our order was so sweet to put cartoons on the TV for my toddler. Probably 3-3.5 on the food, but bumping to 4 for the kitschy charm, good value, and kind service. I just luv the whole vibe!
