Ribeye sandwich and fries

Absolutely phenomenal. Went here for happy hour and the buy one get one half off appetizers was a great deal. The bartender was so helpful and friendly. The bread they give you to start your meal has delicious house-made butter with it. Everything we ate was amazing. Will be returning soon for sure

My children brought me here for Mother's Day and I definitely was not disappointed. Everything was soooo delicious and fresh! Their peach bruschetta was delectable as well as the entrees and desserts we tried. The tiramisu was so good I can drool just talking about it. My daughter told me that they're constantly changing their menu based on the fresh ingredients that are available for the season. I live in Oakland so I can guarantee that I will be back here to try more delicious cuisines!

I'm going with a 4 based more on a combination of my first time here which was a bridal shower and my last visit for dinner with friends. The ambiance here is very nice. Rustic charm. I didn't like that I had to valet. Seemed unnecessary midweek. The service was ok. I like they give a bread basket in the beginning and had delicious honey butter in it. For entree I choose a Kale salad with butternut squash and added shrimp. I wish the kale was massaged that would have been better. Maybe it's because I asked for the dressing on the side? And the butternut squash was slightly under done but it was still ok. I would return but I'd try something else.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on a Wednesday and we were seated upstairs which was a very cozy space. I had the aperol spritz fall drink which was amazing. We also shared the butternut squash, fig and goat cheese app which was delish. I think I'd go back again just for that. Dinner was scallops for him and salmon for me. We couldn't decide which was better.

Had a nice and cozy fall dinner experience at Harvest and Ale. The restaurant has two floors with plenty of booth seating. The seasonal cocktails - pumpkin margarita and pumpkin espresso martinis were highlights. Two favorite appetizers that we liked were the squash arancini and filet crostini. There were a handful of specials for the night. However, I decided to go with the squash and farro salad. That had a great flavor. The tiramisu was great - lots of cream was layered. Overall, a nice dinner experience with good service and complimentary valet.

Seared scallop dinner

Ever crave tapas and bevyssss and not know where to go? Well I advise you to check out THIS SLEEPER. To my understanding it's not actually known as a tapas bar but it does have loads of light bites on their menu. Every time we go we actually stick to getting mostly a bunch of small plates and then potentially splitting one large entrée it gives you an opportunity to really dance across their menu. Not only is the food decadent, but their cocktails are made well and their ambience is dynamic great for dates, friends, and even family outings. The main level is more of a casual feel with their bar and the second floor gives me a little bit more late night date night vibes. But both could be leverage for either. Their services always been very on point if I were to make any recommendations, I would say the goat cheese, beet salad is a show stopper, but if you want to experience heaven on Earth, definitely try the pork scratching. I also never met a fillet Cristini that I didn't like and their squash ravioli is worth your time. It's become a regular in our rotation for date nights and it's still very exciting Every time we decide to land on this spot. it's like nothing else in the area.

The transformation from the previous restaurant is truly impressive. The Paella Arancini was incredibly unique and absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very pretty overall, though the interior is quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu without additional light. The tables were also placed fairly close together. Our server was polite and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the Korean fried chicken and tuna tataki. The chicken was moist and coated in a sweet and spicy sauce. The tuna tataki was flavorful; however, the taro chips were very thin and tended to break easily when holding the tuna. For our main courses, we ordered the Icelandic cod, rigatoni, Freebird chicken, and a side of whipped potatoes. Dessert was the hazelnut chocolate crunch, which was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the food was enjoyable. That said, the pricing felt more in line with a fine dining experience, while the atmosphere and service were closer to an upscale casual restaurant. Some small details, such as the whipped potatoes being served without a serving spoon, stood out. While minor, these details can make a difference, especially at this price point.

5+ Stars; My favorite restaurant in the realm of Chef Robbie Felice…read more Outstanding! Excellent service; Very cool urban ( Brooklyn-like) vibe & atmosphere. Kitchen view; Nice sized bar with all the good stuff; Excellent food and drinks! Big public parking lot next door. But keep in mind it doesn't come cheap. What looks (and is) very casual is still in Westwood ( an always evolving Foodie town). A true artisanal menu. I suggest you look at the menu and Google some terms because you're going to see some ingredients & foods that are not common place. Multiple types of Mozzarella ( and other cheeses) Home made pastas that you don't always see anywhere (no penne or spaghetti here!) Our group of four is infamous for ordering A LOT off the menu and sharing; No two like items here. Apps Choose a basket of one of the bread choices; Make sure you try some cheeses ( REAL Italian burrata and REAL Italian buffalo mozzarella from Italy here!) A MUST--Italian Stracciatella ( stringy & soft cheese like Mozzarella with house made Hummus in a Roasted Garlic Pinsa Romana that came with pita. Even the hot honey mozzarella sticks made a common item great. Entrees ( all good sized servings) and after all the yummy cheeses & Apps you can expect to have a take-home container. --I loved the Chicken & Sausage Cutlet Milanese Scarpariello with Rosemary; topped with cooked onions & peppers (not a old salad as one would expect with a Milanese. However they did have the traditional chicken Milanese topped with a Cesar salad that looked awesome. --the Trottole (pasta) with Short Rib Ragu | Mozzarella Whey | Belper Knolle ( a shaved, seasoned cheese) was like nothing Ive ever had and everyone loved it. --the Fussilli pasta with Basil Pesto | Whipped Ricotta | Pine Nut was also fantastic! --Spicy Rig(atoni pasta) with Stracciatella (cheese) | Sicilian Oregano | Basil; another somewhat common dish but here stands out among some of the best. Desserts-- Although the Samoa Cookie (like in those great girl Scout cookies) Cheesecake sounded amazing but the 4 of us split 2 orders of the --Butter Cake with Vanilla Gelato | Berries | Zabaglione sauce; and it was perfection. Light as a feather buttery yellow cake with all of that was the prefect way to end this meal. A true MUST if you like great food and like to try different versions of things. I cannot wait to go back. His best place yet

Vibes? Good. Drinks? Ok…read more Food? I mean...I guess? It's different which IS great. Everything is expensive so I get it but it just didn't blow my bra onto the bathroom ceiling. 260 a couple and one wasn't drinking is reasonable If anything was wow...the best bite of the night was the 10.00 fresh table side bite of mozzarella...it's the one thing we've circled back to talking about over the evening. 26 of those bites would have been way cooler and delicious...which is a good idea for next time. Clams, tasty breadcrumbs. Couldn't find a clam...with both hands, it tasted good if not a little dry just didn't really get "clam" Mozzarella sticks....tasty breadcrumbs and hot honey. But no pull. Focaccia? Over well?? Dark on All sides and only ordered bc our entree was "saucy"...plot twist...it was not. Inventive with the sausage chicken cutlet but scarpiello is supposed to be spicy, sharp...this was roasted peppers on a sausage chicken cutlet with not a drop of sauce. (We shared this, decent serving but for the price you couldn't even garnish the plate?) Chicken scarpimellow maybe ? Cocktails? Tiny and just ok, nothing to write home about and a lot of "just bc you can doesn't mean you should" I want a cocktail with alcohol not molecular gastronomy in a shot glass. The espresso martini was very good, I will give them a 9 on that. The staff was the star, friendly attentive but I can't say knowledgeable because the focaccias sole purpose was for sauce that didn't exist and she didn't come back to ask so here we are with focaccia that came out before apps for an entree that didn't need it. The worst element was that at various points the restaurant was filled with an acrid smell of burning plastic or food or something and it was very off putting but it wasn't a delicious scent. Also, for the vibes and the cost the influencer in gym shorts really throws that whole mood yes society is more casual now but gym shorts aren't really appropriate at any restaurant with the same price point. I'd give it another shot in the future maybe just for cocktails and hand fed cheese.

We did finally get drinks and shortly after we're told a table was available. It took quite a while before our waitress showed up. Since we already had drinks she was ready to walk away but we wanted to order a pretzel. She took the order, pretzel arrived more than 15 mins later, but it was delicious. It was good we had something to munch on cause our dinner, 2 burgers and a flatbread, arrived 45 mins later. The burgers were wrong, she said she had 2 Cali burgers. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, I did order the Cali. I took one, they sent the other back for correction. Once I went to eat mine I realized it was not a Cali burger. That had to be returned also. Both burgers were ordered medium rare, they were cooked well done. My friend did enjoy her flatbread. The manager did come by with a half hearted apology. She offered free dessert, we're not dessert eaters so did not accept the offer. Looking back, we should gave taken dessert to go. I wouldn't go back. I felt not one employee offered good service.

Since we were big fans of those alcohols, we decided to check it out. The walls of the space were covered in colorful murals with Latin American imagery. There were banquettes along either wall with small tables and ottomans scattered in front of them, providing separate, little areas for each group. Large playing cards were fanned across each table with Jack, Queen, King, and Ace cards each having a menu on its backside. There were bar bites, a spirits list, classic cocktails that could be reimaged with your agave spirit of choice (picture a tequila mojito), and even a custom beverages. The creative drinks were not cheap, coming in at around $20 on average, but they certainly were complex! My La Balacara featured Casamigos Mezcal, spiced pear, Luxardo, orange, ginger, chestnut honey, and a chili tincture. I thought the drink sounded outrageous, but, sadly, all I tasted was that honey, the ingredient of which I was least interested. In fact, the smokiness of the mezcal really did not play well with the chestnut honey, leaving it to taste sort of like licorice. I was not a fan. My companion's El Encanto included Casamigos Cristalino, Lillet Blanc, strawberry-lemongrass cordial, guava, and basil, which sounded herbaceous, but really just tasted like a fancy daiquiri. He enjoyed it, but I found it unimpressive. Our drinks were accompanied by a complementary bowl of spiced popcorn, which was delicious. We had come from an earlier dinner, so the snack was as much as I needed. However, the few larger food items that I saw others order all looked great. While I would go back to Perico to try some other items, I felt like I had had better, more affordable cocktails upstairs at Panela.
