Ive been to common block brewing now twice. Once was just for drinks while out shopping and the second time was for some take out lunch (trying to find places near my new office for lunch when needed). Both times have been great. Service is top notch, the place has a great vibe and tons of space. There is indoor bar seating, indoor dining room seating and outdoor seating. The takeout was delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. The Bacon Bacon burger comes with a phenomenal bacon jam and was perfectly cooked as well as the burger toasted just right that it didnt get soggy on my way back with my food to my office. Great brewpub. I went for dinner two nights in a row on a recent trip to Medford. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cobb Salad. The Ceasar salad was good, but the Cobb was better. If you order food by the bar it's apt to take longer. Indoor seating is fairly limited so you're apt to wait for a table on the weekend. Got to admit it's a pretty mediocre experience. Service was pretty rough. There was three of us. Server never checked back on how food was or tried to upsell us on another drink. $100 for two adults and a toddler. Food seems to be more Sysco/us foods frozen rather than house made recipes. I was traveling through Medford and found this great spot to eat dinner. I had a large crowd but it was easy to snag a table for all 7 of us on a Friday night. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Kaitlyn, was super attentive and captured everyone's order perfectly. We had two little kids with us and she managed the needs really well. Halfway through our meal we needed to move to an outdoor table, as we had a dog joining, and the staff were so great to come help us move locations. Their beers are great! There were several people in line waiting for the hostess and we decided to take a couple of seats at the bar. The bar area is not big but there is plenty of seating in the main restaurant area. It took some time to get some menus menu as the bartender was very busy. We probably could have asked the hostess. They offer their own beers as well as others and have a list of cocktails also. I decided on their Spiced Apple and White Pear Sangria which was delicious and light. We also decided on The Block Burger and sweet potato fries with a zesty sauce. We split the burger and they brought an additional plate. The burger was delicious. It was cooked perfect and loved the sweet pickles served with it. Common Block hits the spot every time. We used to live in Medford but moved away a few years ago, still hitup CB everytime we come back. The pretzel is excellent, coffee chicken tacos are so unique and flavorful, pizzas are great, salads are all great portions. My favorite part are their kid friendly offerings. A full menu just for kids, only $8 and it comes out quick! These people understand how hard it is to grab a dinner out with young ones and they make it simple. The drinks are also delicious! We chose this brewery because it advertised a dog-friendly patio. When we arrived, we were told to seat ourselves outside and order online. That was the extent of the "service." We ordered through the app, and aside from someone dropping off water and later our food, no staff member checked on us or spoke to us again. The food was very disappointing. The pretzel tasted undercooked with almost no salt, and the cheese sauce had a strange, lumpy texture. Even the ranch was gross!! My daughter and I both love ranch, and neither of us could eat it. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese, which barely had any cheese at all and she didn't enjoy it. The only highlight was the fries, which were decent. What made the experience worse was that not one person came to check on us, despite several other tables outside also dining. There were only food runners and bussers coming and going, no actual servers engaging with customers. I would not have tipped online had I known there would be no service provided. If you sit outside, don't expect any service. Between the poor food quality and lack of staff interaction, this was a disappointing experience. Was looking for a family friendly place to eat and drink and found this place. Plenty of parking spaces and lots of seating indoors and outdoors. We were a party of 11 and the staff was very accommodating. We arrived around 6pm and there was not a long wait. Our waitress and staff was very attentive and the food and drinks came out really fast and fresh. We ordered the dry apple cider, the Oregon blackberry cider and the prickly pear cider... the prickly pear cider was our favorite.
