It's clean over all. Food quality is below average. Anything seafood is bad. Chilled peal shrimp was slightly off. I couldn't cut the fish fillet because it was so dry. The cooked mussels were awful! After thinking our trip to West Bend was wasted when we were let down by another business at 3:00pm, we sat in the car googling places to eat, and found this little GEM. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Meats, rice, vegetables, fruits, and seafood. I can honestly say my visit here sent me on my way with a full belly and being properly nourished from eating great food. Absolutely fantastic. read more

One of those run of the mill strip mall Chinese buffet locations that every city seems to have. The food tastes pretty good at the time and an hour after eating you remember why you only hit the Chinese buffet a few times a year. Joking aside, this location is in a newer building that is spacious and clean. A large buffet with several sushi offerings to boot. They also included in the buffet price offer a hibachi style counter where you select exactly what you want (meats, vegetables, noodles, egg, pineapple, etc) and they'll cook it right up in front of you. This is a nice plus for a buffet because you at least know you are eating freshly prepared food. Reasonably priced at $10 per person for lunch including a soda. Chen's cross town competition (King Buffet) went out of business leaving Chen's as the lone Chinese buffet option in West Bend. read more

I have been going here for a few years and always left with a decent opinion until the last year! It is just not good at all anymore! You have to go at peak times or you get shitty cold food. Sundays is dinner prices only ,and they literally put out food they had left over from Saturday night ! I know this for a fact ! I got there when they opened and 50% of the food was left overs. It's a shame that the other Chinese buffet in West Bend closed because that leaves Chen's as the only option for locals and gives Chen's no incentive to improve their substandard food. It's certainly not inedible, but it's not particularly good either. Eating here at Chen's buffet is å love hate ordeal The love of going to Chen's buffet is the food ,so many different types of choices to choose. I have not found any of the choices that I didnt care for. All I want is to load it on my plate .but the plates å smaller then your avange plate ( there is å reason for smaller plates) so you dont over mix all the good food the food kept hot and of course you are aloud to return the buffet as many times you would like which is å hate thing because you cant get enough. I really enjoy the fresh ice cream mechine it remines me when I was å kid and having ice cream from å taste freeze stand.the main hate part at lease for me is I eat way tóooo mush great place to eat read more

We've been here before and shame on us for going back. Service is non-existent, yes I know it's a buffet, but drink refills and extra napkins were needed and it took the unfriendly waitress a long time to ever come to our table. As I write this my dinner is not settling well. I'm just hoping that the ride home isn't too long. Do yourself a favor and grab a subway or some other drive-thru in the area, it will taste better and cost less. read more

It is indeed a typical Chinese buffet place, but sure one of the better around. The food is good from Sushi to Chinese main dishes, everything else these places think they need to have too from Ribs to Pizza I can not judge as I go there to eat Chinese, nothing else. read more

There is a good selection of items in their buffet. The sushi rolls are decent. There are salad options and traditional items (like pizza) for the kids. There are soup options, and the steamed pot stickers are tasty. Many typical Chinese items with chicken, beef, pork, and seafood. There are lots of deserts and also soft serve ice cream. If you leave here hungry then something is wrong! And the lunch buffet price is very reasonable. Better price, food, and value than the nearby chain restaurant. My co-workers and I come here every month or so for a quick and reasonable lunch break. For the price, this is definitely a winner in my book. read more

Worse I've ever had!!!! When this place first opened the food was awesome BUT over the past year it has gotten progressively worse to the point where I will never go back again. Food is not only cold its non-existent...most of the bins were empty and when we told the waitress she just looked at us like we were nut. The service sucks, they are the most unfriendly bunch I have ever encountered. There is another Chineese Buffet in West Bend and we are going to start going there again at least the food is hot and full and the staff are very very friendly. Chens better improve their service and food quality because word is out how bad it is and business is going to go down. read more

Typical americanized chinese buffet that is so huge people.dont eat all the items put out fast enough to keep them fresh. Most of it was barely edible in my opinion. So why 3 stars? The crab. As long as you got some that was fresh from the kitchen it was good. Not great- it was overcooked so that instead of nice large chunks the pieces broke apart into slivers that you had to dig for but I think they do that to make the shells easier to crack. However it still tastes nice and sweet and not rubbery like lobster or clams get when overcooked. It.was perfectly acceptable.for all you can eat crab for 10 dlrs. read more

Came here a second time hoping it would have been better but that was definitely a mistake. If you're expecting high quality food or sushi look elsewhere it's just like any Chinese /American buffet. First I wanna say I kinda was a bit weary about this place because of the partially burned out sign, but after going here I should've gone here sooner. It was sooooo good! I pretty much just eat Tso's chicken and crab rangoon as far as Chinese goes so as long as they have that I'm a happy camper and I manged to squeeze down some fruit afterwords which they have allot of. I didn't have room for desert, but it looked like they had allot of that too. I really lost it at this place. All you can eat for like $12. That's really a good deal. I haven't eaten that good in a long time. I'm so full and energized and happy lots of protein. I actually felt bad for not speaking Chinese because the waitress legitly spoke no english which was quite comical. That's how good it was. We eat here 2-3 sometimes even 4 times a week. The food is just delicious. It is a huge buffet so you never have to eat the same thing over and over. Everyone in our family eats different and they all leave happy, full and satisfied. This place is great for any age. We all love eating here. I, personally, could eat here every day! I love Chinese food and this place has outstanding quality food cooked to perfection. The sushi has always been delicious. They have a section where you can pick your foods and they cook it up in front of you. Like a quick stir fry. My daughter loves doing that. Salad bar is good. Dessert section is always good. The restaurant has always been clean. The bathroom is always clean. Many wait staff do not speak English but they know the basics of what needs to be asked. The price is nice for what you get to eat. It's an all you can eat buffet. Beverages are not included but are not high priced so all in all it's a good deal for a great meal. If you don't care for their food then you can eat American foods. They have salmon, french fries, chicken, pizza, soups, etc. Selection of foods is really varied. They are constantly filling any trays that run low on food so it's always hot and fresh. I don't know where to start. We have been going to @Chens Buffet and Sushi since it opened. Last night was very disappointing, pans were empty for almost our etire visit, one diner behind us, kept checking for the lemon shrimp. Kids (unsupervised) were eating at the buffet, including peeling shrimp, not sure where the shells went! Price has gone up cuz now they have crab legs every day (limit 2). The crab legs are small and not worth the cracking and picking you have to do for the small amount of crab. Sushi was very limited, only 5 choices. Sauces were not labeled, you didn't know if it was ketsup or hot sauce. After waiting 10 min. for our check, we finally went up to the front to pay. Not sure what happened to this place, but yesterday was not good! read more

Pretty typical chinese style buffet so no surprises with the food with one notable exceptions. the Mongolian grill area is nice. Make your choice of several raw selections, hand it to the grill master and he cooks it right there. Very nice. You can always get what you want that way. It's about time they got a Mongolian grill in West Bend, Food is on par with King Buffet, and pretty much every other chinese buffet for that matter, food all tastes the same no matter where you go in my opinion. Like the Germantown chinese buffet they do offer some more americanized food choices, pizza, french fries etc so you really can please a wide range of people with the selections. read more

Food pretty much tasted all the same. The crab meat salad was way too fishy tasting. Peel and eat shrimp had NO flavor what so ever. Puddle of water in front of the ice cream machine was looked at by a waitress when we first got there and it was still there when we left.
