The service was great, the people here are are very friendly. Service was quick and I overall had a great time here, would 100% recommend.

Just ordered sesame chicken and General Tso's chicken...generally it's a sweeter dish, however, mine was made with a heavy handed vinegar pour, it was awful! Will not be going back there. I've patronized this restaurant very frequently, but no longer! Maybe get better cooks! read more

Okay, I saved a rewards card from my health insurance to get my Christmas dinner from here because I had a coupon and had just moved into this community. First, they wouldn't honor the coupon on Christmas! That's a fine Welcome to the community. Second, I was told the wait for pick up would be almost 2 hours. When I arrived, the food still wasn't done! I was so hungry! That's a fine Merry Christmas! Third, this was the most expensive 3 appetizer and entree I ever got from a Chinese restaurant. When, I got home and unpacked and the single bag, I thought I had been punked! That's a fine how do you do! Then, I ate the food! Oh My Goodness! It was yummy! I forgot all my frustrations as I ate a really satisfying meal. I had leftovers for the next day and enjoyed them too! I will definitely try this restaurant again. I'll see if they take my coupon on a less busy non-holiday night! I figure if they made great food on a busy night, a quiet night will be amazing! We were there for dinner 8/29/2025 at 6:04 pm. He looked his watch and said, "we close the dinning room at 6:00, open for carry out only now! It's on our website". When I looked at their website earlier I read the hours for Friday was till 10:00. I went back to look again and yes it does say 6:00 in a different place. The owners/ employees at Dragon Gourmet have created a very friendly inviting atmosphere when we dine there. The lunch buffet isn't large, but very tasty and prepared well. We ordered a good amount if food for our group, but as we were heading home they called to let us know they forgot one of our appetizers. No big deal, we turned around and headed back to get it, and before we could even get out of the car the guy at the desk ran out to our car to give us our appetizer back, and a couple free sodas for the trouble as well! A lot of times places won't even bother to tell you if something gets left behind, so to let us know and give us complimentary drinks was much appreciated. I've been a Dragon Gourmet customer since the original owners. I've tried to give the new management the benefit of the doubt but the food quality has really diminished. On the positive side, their cashier has a very welcoming personality. He alone, would bring in business. I have ordered my usual, chicken and broccoli several times now. This first couple of times, it had zero flavor and this time, it is clear that the source of chicken used in the entree has been replaced with a lower quality meat, in my opinion. I am very disappointed to give this restaurant a low rating, but perhaps these reviews will help point out where this new management can improve. read more

This is a very nice small town Chinese dine in or take out. Either way it's some good eats if your craving Chinese food. I had egg drop soup/ pork egg roll / and for the main course Mongolian beef. The owners have made Dragon Gourmet such a wonderful place to frequent for delicious Chinese food. The young man who answers the phone and greets you is very sweet and kind. He makes eating here an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere isn't anything special, although I don't think it really matters to be honest because the staff really cares for this place in the food they make. Either take out, dine in or the lunch buffet. Any of the listed choices you'll have fresh, warm and delicious food. While the lunch buffet isn't large, it's well thought out and just enough. Plus, it's only $8.75 for all you can eat lunch buffet! You can't beat that. The egg foo young is sooo good, I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones who think that as it's always the first thing to go at the buffet. Don't fret, they fill up the dishes in a timely manner! Other items we've ordered that we always enjoy are chicken and broccoli, shrimp mei fun, sweet and sour chicken, hot and sour soup and the pork fried rice. All delicious! When it's a "don't want to cook" take out night, we enjoy eating from here. read more

This place recently changed hands. It used to be good, it's just terrible now. We had take out this past Friday, appetizers tasted like they were made several days ago. Decent food here. Hubby and I got take out - ready in 10 minutes (super fast!). I got the singapore noodles which were good - tasted as expected. Little bits of chicken and shrimp interspersed throughout. Hubs got one of the chicken dinner specials. His chicken was fine, the fried rice left a lot to be desired. Pretty bland as others have said. The egg rolls are nothing special. Also got crab rangoons - decent, heavy on the cream cheese though. My wife and I went there a few nights ago for the first time. We didn't eat in the restaurant, instead we ordered, waited and took it home. That is usually our approach when trying take out for the first time. I am interested in how clean everything is and the personnel. Dragon Gourmet did a good job. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered and like most Chinese food places we waited about 10 minutes for our food and went home. The Food - pretty good, but certainly not the best take out Chinese Food I have had. The General Tso's Chicken lacked spice and the pork fried rice had little to no flavor. Nothing a little soy sauce couldn't cure, but I hate doing that. We will be trying a few other places around us (not a huge choice) before heading back. Pretty affordable and close to our place. A few positives. Wouldn't steer anyone away and maybe other items are more flavorful. Just 3 stars for "OK". read more

Located in Grafton, Wisconsin off of Falls Road in a shopping center, this is the first time I ate at Dragon Gourmet. We stopped in around 6pm for dinner and the place was about half full. People were waiting in line for carry out service and we were seated immediately. I had a dinner combo of shrimp chop suey and fried rice, which was excellent. Very fresh vegetables, pea pods and the shrimp were the colossal size with 4 on my plate. The shrimp were butterflied and dipped in butter. I chased that down with a couple of pork egg rolls which were big and very tasty. I only wish they had some hot mustard for the egg roll. Boy I was stuffed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive to our dinner. She was a bit hard to understand due to language, but that is what it's all about. My dinner cost $7.00 and the egg rolls were $1.30 each which was well worth it. They also serve a lunch buffet for $5.95. read more

Being new to the area I needed to find a new spot to pick up some Chinese food when the craving sets in. My boyfriend who is a local of the area brought me here a few times for the buffet and it was mediocre at best. Just ordered pick up for the first time today in a rush, and although the portions were quite large and hot, I thought the chicken w/ garlic sauce and general tso chicken were some of the least impressive I've had in a long time. Had Dragon for the first time recently. I waited in the parking lot for the place to open until 11:15 (website says 11am) ...no open sign. No beer sign lit up. I figured they were still closed. To my surprise it was already busy in there when I decided to try to go in to order. My order took about 15 minutes to cook which is fine- as long as the chicken is done and not raw I'll wait for as long as I have to- and the food was tasty. (Sesame chicken) So I would say I'd go back for lunch, yes. Food was good. Service was ok. Atmosphere was junky and outdated. read more

A pretty good Chinese place. The food there is decent. I normally get the sesame chicken with fried rice. The chicken is good but the fried rice seems a bit bland. The buffet is lacking in selction and a lot of times the food does not come out quick enough. Be warned if you call in an order they may mess it up. A few times when I order their la main they have given me fried rice instead, smart to check if it is right in the car. This place is good if you are in the area and looking for Chinese. I walked in last night for an impromptu take-out order and got beef lo-mein and kung po chicken. The service was fine and the speed with which is was prepared really surprised me. The quality of the food, however, was worse than disappointing. I could rate the food a little higher if they were just a bit stingy with the chicken and beef, but the meat in both meals was nearly non-existent. There might have been four small strips of beef in the lo-mein. The kung po chicken had virtually no chicken in it at all. This goes beyond trying to "stretch the food dollar" or being economical without sacrificing the taste. The taste was bland and devoid of beef or chicken flavor. I have a bottle of peanut sauce at home and had to drench the kung po to make it palatable. And the quantity of squash was so high that they clearly are trying to make food on the cheap. I live in Port Washington and drove over the Grafton looking for something different and new. This was a complete disappointment and there's no way I would go back. read more

The hot and sour soup and the spring rolls were delicious. Despite the huge amount of fresh vegetables and meat cooked to perfection in the entrees, there was too much onion in everything. This was my first time here. I had been surprised that it took me this long to get here. As I walked in, I was greeted within a minute and shown a seat. Nothing was said about helping my self to the buffet or if someone would be with me shortly. I waited about 5 minutes and someone came to take my drink order and instructed me to go to the buffet table. I was wondering where the other table was because there was not much of a selection and what Chinese buffet doesn't have egg rolls? I got egg foo young, fried rice, spring roll and peppered chicken. All of it was cold. I was here at the beginning of the lunch hour and was expecting things to be hot. When I got back to my table my drink was waiting and I found that it had part of a paper placemat floating inside of it. The only thing that caused me to give two stars and not just one was the peppered chicken. Even cold, it tasted good. The rest of the food was kind of bland did not impress me with flavor or texture.
