After a dearth of French joints, we now have two! This one is the best, so far, and a bit more affordable. The atmosphere is cozy, like the preceding restaurant, and it seems like only a lick of paint spruced it up. It's small so noise level from conversation could be high, but there is only soft inoffensive canned music. The food was stellar! The last weeks of local halibut made it to the menu and was delicate, flavorful and accompanied by littleneck clams. Escargot was fantastic, although the baguette toasted a bit too hard to dip. Perfect crème brûlée. A variety of affordable wines by the glass are offered. Service was swift and kind, despite only being open for a couple weeks. There are dedicated walk-ins for the neighborhood. Can't ask for more...oh, wait, yes you can. A dog friendly patio awaits!

Had the escargo. The snails were a little small but very tasty. Good service and ambiance. Would recommend.

The lemon sole (fish) and octopus carpaccio (not pictured) were filled with flavor! The pork belly was very underwhelming and I would not order again. The waiter said 2-4 plates per person. I recommend starting on the lower end and adding additional dishes based on how you're feeling. The amount of food was very different from dish to dish. For example the tuna dip had way too much bread and the pork belly was very small in size. Overall I was half impressed. I wish the staff would take a moment to announce the plate as it's placed next to you or point it out on the menu for those hard of hearing and wanting to know what they are about to enjoy. However the music, overall restaurant vibe and half the dishes exploding with flavor made my experience pleasant and I will return again knowing a bit more of what to expect and looking at photos of the menu/meal options beforehand.

We didn't really look it up before hand and I think we were expecting more of like a dive bar and couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as we walked in the door, we were really digging the decor and overall layout of the place. We were seated right away at the bar and got a couple drinks pretty quickly. The bartender was a younger guy and super friendly. He was very approachable and was really knowledgeable about the gluten free experience (my wife has celiac), which got us excited to come back another day for dinner. My wife got the Short Story Long, which had a really interesting, herbal/vegetal flavor that she really enjoyed overall. I got the Pulp Fiction, which was a flavor bomb all the way with the hint of rye flavor but also a hint of fruit and other layers that was just really fantastic. We will absolutely come back here with the kids for dinner some night!

Initially service was amazing and attentive, but got more lax as we were trying to get the check and leave; we were starting to feel a little forgotten and it wasn't overly busy. The food was DELICIOUS. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. We sat in the lounge area, which was perfectly fine for a casual dinner/snack. We ordered 2 appetizers and 1 share plate with a side of rice. Honestly, we didn't need the rice. This place is pricey but was expected from looking at the menu beforehand. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

Due to its location it makes sense and I suspect the tourists flood into this place. For our visit we came for a small bite and pre-dinner drinks since we had a late reservation. When we showed up it was very busy and loud but we snagged some bar seats. Staff and bartenders were very friendly and welcoming! The vibes are trendy and modern, with a mix of seating types. Only real knock against the overall vibes/aesthetic would be the loudness making it difficult to talk at times. I do wonder how the noise is during the morning when they are more of a cafe/coffee spot. Drink wise they have a good variety of drink offerings and I chose their espresso martini. It is served nitro and has an orange peel on top to give you strong citrus on the nose. It was a very solid espresso martini but I have had better. My wife got Turbo Julius and really liked it. To hold us over until late dinner we also got the large serving of Crispy Pots and it was incredible for what they were. Potatoes were very crispy and aioli was tasty too! Overall a great spot for grabbing drinks and a quick bite to eat. Will need to return and check out the morning coffee options.
