We purchased a used vehicle from Star Motors on Feb 15, 2026. Within 4 days, a "Brake System" warning appeared. We contacted the dealer immediately but were offered no inspection or help. We requested a Carfax and maintenance records at that time. The Carfax was provided about 1.5 months later, and no maintenance records were ever given. Soon after, multiple warning lights appeared (brakes, power steering, engine). On Mar 24, the car failed to accelerate safely. It had only been driven ~510 miles since purchase. Despite early reports, we were told nothing could be done due to a 30-day window. On Mar 27, inspection found a misfire code and we were told basic maintenance had not been done prior to sale. No resolution was offered. We are now paying for repairs. Strongly recommend an independent inspection before buying. Star - Major safety red flags ignored at Star Motors Alpharetta. PPI on a red Prius showed bad brake booster (mechanic called it a major safety concern) + 3 dry-rotted tires. Caesar said they'd fix both, but when I asked for it in writing, the manager refused the brake repair. They're selling a car with known brake safety issues. Walked away. We were looking for an SUV and saw a few that we were interested in at this lot. Cesar met us outside and showed us a few options. There wasn't anything that just stood out for me... most of the cars were high mileage and not a great price. I was looking for something with less than 100K miles, and very few vehicles fit that bill. Wasn't a high pressure environment, but wasn't the place for us. read more

We were in the Atlanta area for a few days and were looking online for some vehicles to test drive. We saw a few that were here and came out to look at them and test drive any that may strike our fancy. The business is tucked away down a side road and and can be easy to miss the lot if you aren't paying attention. You cannot see the cars from the main road. We did find it, and came in to look at them. The cars were all fairly high mileage. Some were good deals, considering the mileage, some were not. They are having a problem getting inventory right now, though that seems to be every used car dealership. The staff are fairly friendly, and won't pressure you to buy if you don't like any. I like the no-pressure environments like that. We ended up not buying anything from them, but depending on what you're looking for, they are definitely worth checking out. read more

We really didn't get far into the process with these guys. They did have a lot of used Honda cars especially civics, so this was a good spot since we were looking for a car for a first time driver. We had one specific we wanted to see and they did have that one. They pulled it around for us and were really helpful ... it was really cold out and they were trying to make it so we didn't have to walk the lot. We really weren't impressed with the quality and price and they offered to show us another. Kind of the same result. Overall they were nice but the quality just wasn't where we wanted it to be. If you are looking for a Honda, seems like a spot to check out. read more

Cesar was very responsive & disintegrated pretend to know things he didn't know, always a sign of honesty. Owner was reasonable & friendly without being smarmy! Made a good deal, happy with it. I totaled my car on a Thursday and had a work trip the following week. my insurance gave me a rental for thirteen days so I started looking for places to buy a car immediately. I have always bought used cash but due to the circumstances this was not possible. After looking up yelp this dealer happened to show up. I called and then visited a few days later and found exactly what I needed but couldn't buy due to the car I wanted needing a minor fix that they were very transparent about. Unfortunately that car was going to take too long so I went with the other one I had looked at. They had my car exactly when my rental expired and stayed late in the office so I could make the two hour drive to pick up the car. In addition the car passed outside mechanic inspection with flying colors and they even drove me to and from the rental place to drop off my other car. They are life savers. buyer beware!!! do not buy a car from here!!!!! again do not buy a car from here!!!! i came and looked at a couple of cars and took them to get inspected. one car had damages for far more expensive for what the car was even selling for. and when i took it back to them showing them what the pre-purchase inspection showed, their response was "if you take it to the dealership theyre going to find things wrong with it" i should've known then to not purchase a car from them but i figured if i went with a car that had a good service history and i get it inspected it should be ok. i took the next car to meineke to get inspected, it had a couple of things wrong with it but nothing too serious. they stated that they would fix what was wrong, i purchased the car and brought it back for them to fix the issues that were reported in the pre purchase inspection, i didnt even make it home and the check engine light came on and the car was making this awful noise. i called starlight motors and he insisted that it was nothing, nonetheless i brought it back. keep in mind they have like 1 "mechanic" (if thats what you want to call him) and they had him look at the car and he kept saying that the car needs a small cylinder part ...what part? i dont know because they wouldnt tell me the name they just kept describing the part to me but not giving me a name. they claimed that they were going to order it and i can drive on the car just fine and theyll call me when the part comes in. i took the car to chevrolet and had them look at it, it needed $700 worth of work done. not to mention a catalytic converter replacement as well as a new battery. the check engine light has come on 3-4x and ive only had the car for less than a month. do not buy a car from here. they are scamming you they are dishonest they are takinf advantage of people and they need to be reported to the better business bureau for all of the bad business that they have been conducting. read more
