Lauren was a dream to work with. I sing her praises! Our wedding day seriously wouldn't have been possible without her. The Rock Barn itself was super clean, easy to set up, extremely flexible, and just gorgeous to look at! Of course a diy venue has its own challenges, but most importantly it allowed us to bring our wedding day ideas to life. We got to use our own vendors and decorate the way we wanted! I can't brag on this place enough.

The marker reads as the following: Crescent Farm Rock Barn The Crescent Farm Rock Barn was constructed in 1906 by Augustus "Gus" Lee Coggins. One of a rare number of rock barns constructed in Georgia, the Rock Barn, together with the nearby Georgian Revival style main house, constitutes the core of the original Crescent Farm. Originally a racehorse stable, the rock barn was one of three barns on Coggins' cotton and horse farm. It was built to replace a wooden barn destroyed in a fire which killed valuable race horses. The Rock Barn is made of rock quarried on the original farm from the banks of the Etowah River. Coggins bred and raised horses for harness racing. Crescent Farm was widely known in the racing circle because of Abbedale, its world class horse. Abbedale brought fame to Crescent Farm and is listed in the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY. Abbedale sired six pacers with two-minute mile records. 028-5 Georgia Historical Marker 1990.

This is an incredible tribute our finest and bravest!…read more According to wikipedia The land for the cemetery was donated by land developer and World War II veteran, Scott Hudgens. J. M. Wilkerson Construction Company, Inc. was hired to develop the land. The cemetery opened for interments on April 24, 2006 with space available for nearly 30,000 grave sites. As of 2014, more than 8,000 were interred on the site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_National_Cemetery It's not an easy place to get to and if you didn't know it's here you would drive right past it...I did...there is a gate at the entrance but I couldn't find any information on when it is locked or unlocked so not very helpful there. It's extremely clean, well maintained and filled with beautiful structures of tributes. There is a restroom up front by the entrance so I suggest if you think you need to go then you should go then before you get on with your visit.... Not sure what the parking policies are but I was able to park on the side and walk around with not problems. I saw many people do the same as well....not sure when it gets busy but I came on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded... You can start with the 1/2 mile oval and completely level walking, jogging or running path. It has multiple covered rest benches and a big open middle for activities like kite flying or frisbee. Then cross the bridge to a few miles of trails surrounded by trees flowers and local wildlife. There is also a canoe launch for access to the Etowah River. The park also has an amphitheater that hosts local bands and other activities. Two brand new playgrounds for the little ones, very clean restrooms and some nice pavilions with picnic tables make this a very nice place for family outings. A 58 acre park that connects to other parks and trails makes this a 5 star place for almost any activity. Well done Canton. Another feather in you cap.

Rebecca was incredibly easy to communicate with and helped me set everything up ahead of time. I felt incredibly taken care of from the first interaction through when they dropped us off at our doorstep and carried our wine to the door. Chris picked my friend and I up and we met Rebecca with the van which they decorated with a darling happy birthday sign, cold water, and an assortment of snacks. I was blown away by their hospitality. Before hitting the road they reviewed the wineries we planned to visit and then we were off. Rebecca drove safely and made conversation with us along the way. Chris was very knowledgeable about the vineyards and wines. Each time we arrived at a new vineyard Chris opened the car door and offered his hand as we stepped down from the van. He opened the vineyard door and helped us find seats at each winery, and then gave us space to enjoy our tasting. Between tastings he made sure we were comfortable and had plenty of water and snacks. He even brought our next tasting out to our seats so that we wouldn't need to get up- it was truly FULL service in every single way. I never once felt rushed by him or Rebecca, and their smiling faces and easy demeanor really created the perfect environment for my friend and I to cut loose and enjoy ourselves. After our tastings we said goodbye and Chris drove us back to our cabin where he personally carried the box of wine to our front door. He thanked us for spending the day with him and was on his way. I cannot recommend Chris and Rebecca enough! I will absolutely be booking with them again. I highly recommend them for any trip! Their prices are incredibly reasonable- and the service is top notch. I was blown away and cannot wait to book another trip with them!
