I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life especially when buying a car. Luckily for them Toyota's sell themselves. I ordered a car in June and had a final drive out price in writing & signed. The manager who signed it even promised that no matter how long it took this would be the final price. Was told it would take 4-6 weeks for it to come in, unfortunately it took 10 which is not their fault or mine, I agree, but supposedly in that time Toyota raised the price & this dealership refused to sell the car at the price they signed & agreed to which is the price I ordered the car at! The general manager emailed me to say he would let me know when the car got in. I asked him to call me so I can ask a few questions, but for some reason he would not call me, he refused, the person that answered the phone said he is just too busy. Therefore, I put my questions in writing because hello, I'm buying a $40,000 vehicle, you can at least answer a few questions for me. I sent my email and kept asking repeatedly for my questions to be answered and they never were.After talking to Costco, who I initially went through, the price was lowered a bit but still not where we started. I made the appointment to go pick up the car and the morning of, the salesman I've been working with emailed me to make sure I was going to be there on time because "he had set that time aside just for me". Appointment was at 11 AM. At 10:59 AM I received an email from him saying he's so sorry but he overslept and won't be there until 11:45. Extremely unprofessional. We start the process with another salesman who is very nice and helpful. Was told to wait 15 minutes, he had to go get everything started. After waiting 30 minutes I asked the man at the front desk how much longer he thought it would be. The OTHER man, who I was not speaking to, started yelling as I walked back to the office,"WELL THAT'S THE PROCESS WHEN BUYING A NEW CAR!" Yes, he yelled this to me, a customer who was about to drop a lot of money on a brand new car. Car salesman have a reputation of being, rude, lying dirtbags and these guys are doing a great job of upholding that reputation. This guy even came around the desk and came up to my face like he was going to fight me after I replied that I was very upset about this entire process, it was a complete clown show. This guy was a complete bully & trying to intimidate me, a small 5ft woman. Not surprised at all though. read more

I visited this dealer this weekend to look at some family vehicles. Surprisingly no one said hi or offered to assist even after walking through the showroom floor. After we asked for assistance, a staff member opened a couple of vehicles so we could look in them but my overall impression was that they didn't actually want to sell me a vehicle and we were spoiling their Sunday afternoon. It was a most odd experience unlike any other I've had. Generally dealership sales staff are friendly, customer focused and go out of their way to make you want to buy their product. The Jeep dealership over the road wasn't even open so I guess my two stars is because Toyota was at least open. Would try a Toyota dealer in Woodstock or Alpharetta in future! read more

I purchased a use Mazda from Cherokee Toyota for my daughter. The sales experience was good except for the sales man quoting me the wrong amount for tax over the phone. I did agree to pay the difference as I wanted the car for my daughter. Within a few days after the purchase the check engine light came on. I checked for a code and there was none in memory. I had my daughter have someone else check for a code and again, no code in memory. I immediately called my sales man who said "well you should still have some warranty left (40K on vehicle) so get it checked by a Mazda dealer". Well turns out the bumper to bumper expired at 36K. The Mazda dealer that I called said there was nothing they could do without a code to reference. My daughter continued to drive the car and the light came on and off. I continued to check the code and it wasn't until three months later that a code showed up. I called Cherokee Toyota explained the issue with no code and they said there was nothing they could do. The Used Car Manager, who I never met, said I should have taken advantage of the "Gold Warranty" that I was given when I purchase the car. I told him I was never informed of a Gold Warranty. He said the sales man would have covered it with me and it would be in the paperwork I was given. I checked and nothing in my paperwork. The conversation with the Used Car Manager got a little heated and he hung up on me. I called my sales man and was again told there was nothing they would do to help me. My wife called the General Manager and he said they had on file where I signed the "Gold Warranty" document. She asked that he send it to us, he agreed. Instead, he sent the No Warranty - Purchase As Is document. I sent him an email explaining the situation from day of purchase asking if Cherokee Toyota would assist in the cost of fixing my daughters car. He never responded. I will never do business with Cherokee Toyota again and do not recommend that others do. Their website talks about how they stand behind their vehicles and are determined to satisfy their customers. No, take it from me, they do not stand behind their vehicles and do not go the extra mile to satisfy their customer. read more

I was in the market for a used car. I had a specific model in mind that Cherokee Toyota had in stock. I asked for photos from the site and the internet department promptly sent photos. I live over 60 miles away from this dealer, so I was also looking for vehicles in my immediate area. The internet department emailed and asked me when I could come see the car, I replied that we were on a limited time window today and I would contact him if we were coming tomorrow. He replied that cars move quickly and if I missed this one, I may not find another. His manager emailed later to follow up on whether his team had contacted me. I replied that he was very prompt and professional but we found a car in our home town but would be happy to recommend Cherokee Toyota to our friends in their area. Internet dude then sent an email saying "Why didn't you tell me that in the first place?" My reply was that we found the car after our email exchange about coming tomorrow and that his customer service skills needed some work. I also reported the exchange to his manager and suggested he find a different department for him as his bedside manner was terrible. I have received no reply from the manager. That speaks volumes!! On 9-12-2019 ,I contacted the dealer via e-mail about a 2019 4x4 tocoma sr v6 double cab. I was contacted by a salesman and he could not get a truck in my price range. We agreed they cost more than i was willing to pay. Later that day the salesman called me back and said he could put me in the same exact truck in an access cab at my price point. we ended the call with me still wanting a double cab. After a day of thinking, I decided to drive an hour to the dealership and purchase the access cab truck with cash in hand. Once at the dealership, the salesman could not locate the truck and told us it was at a sister dealership 25 miles away. He told me to purchase the truck in the finance department and he would go get the truck. I stated I wanted to drive the truck first. This is when the crawfishing started. There was" no" truck and the price quoted was for a 4 cylinder not a 6. He stated that he could not sell me a truck for the quoted price. Thats when he tried to sell me a more expensive truck and forgot i brought cash. He made fun of the truck i arrived in thinking it was a trade in , trying to low ball a trade in. I told him there was 31 thousand dollars in the truck and he thought i was lying . There was several sales people watching this on going debate as i told him i had money. I reached in my " beater" truck and showed him a huge stack of 100s. Laughter was heard from the group as i drove away. The moral here is that people who have money dont want you to know it and the ones that dont want you to think they do. This was a classic bait and switch and he never flinched when i asked him if it was. I will not trust them again, the old saying, if there mouth is moving their lying. read more

On this visit we were assisted by Tony, who was very knowledgeable and took the time to find exactly what we wanted. In our search for a new car we had visited other dealerships, but none had demonstrated the technical knowledge of their vehicles and quality of service that we have found at Cherokee County Toyota. I have never used Yelp before. My son told me about it. Clearly, I should have come here prior to choosing Cherokee County Toyota's Service Department. I have a 2014 Toyota Platinum Series Sequoia. I have used this service department since the purchase for typical maintenance. I have had my issues with them "generating work", but I discount that as ALL dealerships do this. Let's be real, it's a business, and it's a revenue generator. I'm not naive that it doesn't go on. With that being said, my experience this past weekend has done me in with this organization. My wife took it to have new tires put on it at a local tire store in Cumming, GA. They immediately made her aware that one of the spokes (5 sets of two spokes) on the wheel was broken clean through up near the hub of the wheel. I contacted Cherokee County Toyota to see about what they can do. Based on the break, and no damage whatsoever to the rest of the rim, I felt it was a defective wheel (alloy or whatever). I originally asked for the service manager, but he had transferred to Cobb County, so I was sent to the general manager, Dennis (didn't get a last name). Well, he didn't call me back. I received a call from John Gilbert. I sent John a few photos via email so he could look at it. He called back and felt if was damage from a pot hole (really?). There was ZERO damage to the lip of the rim, inside and out. He said he had contacted the warranty company, and the warranty doesn't cover wheels (I knew that). He did offer to sell me a set of (4) take-offs for $400, or he could sell me one new wheel for over $500. I had already found a single take-off in IOWA for $125 delivered. WHY WOULD I WANT TO BUY A SET OF FOUR WHEELS??? I wanted CCT to contact the Toyota sales rep to look at the wheel. John told me to bring it in, and they would take the tire off the rim, and take photos to submit to Toyota. He said he could guarantee they would do anything. Well, I took it in that Saturday for an oil-change and for them to take pictures of the wheel. John was not working that day, but he said he would leave a note in the system. The service writer saw the note, and I explained to her what I was there for. She processed the information, and I waited for the work. When the car was completed, I happened to look in the back of the car at the wheel (I am driving on the spare), and the tire was aired up??? I walked back in to ask the service writer about the wheel. She said they didn't break the wheel off the rim because there was a CHARGE associated with that. I again explained that John said they would be taking the tire off to take pictures. That was the whole point of bringing the wheel in. He already had pictures. Since John wasn't there, she paged the general manager (Dennis). He apparently didn't answer because after several minutes, she went to her boss. He again reiterated that there was a charge associated with the tire removal. At that time, I told her not to worry about it. It's pathetic that you can pay $65,000 for a vehicle, and get ZERO service. That's how much Cherokee County Toyota cares about it's customers. I will NEVER return to that dealership for any type of service or purchase again. I would STRONGLY urge anyone to read ALL of the reviews for this company before you spend your hard earned dollars. If I would have, I wouldn't be as disappointed as I am today. read more

I purchased a new 2014.5 Camry LE from Cherokee Toyota in Canton Ga last week. I have never had such a pleasurable car purchasing experience. The sales person Tony A. was professional, courteous, respectful and did not waste my time. The credit Manager, Hamilton, was also very professional and was not pushy when reviewing the after market options. I would highly recommend Cherokee Toyota for your Next Toyota. In fact, we took our Son's girlfriend to visit Cherokee Toyota the next week and she purchased a New 2014.5 Rav4 and we had the same exceptional service as we experienced the week before. I am very disappointed in Cherokee Toyota in Canton, GA. I was shopping for a 2016 Prius Trim 4. They gave me a written price. Then they couldn't find that car and offered me a Prius Trim 4 Touring for the same price. The Touring was located at their sister store in Cobb County, so I went to see it that same day (Sat.) and liked it. I called the salesman (on Sat.) and he reserved it. He could not meet with me the following day (Sunday), so we made an appointment for Monday at 10:30 a.m. He called me an hour before the meeting to let me know that the car was sold!! Extremely disappointed they would sell, a reserved car, right from under a customer!! I love Toyota's, I had a Sienna for 12 years and bought it from Cherokee Toyota!! We also bought our daughter's car from them 10 years ago!! I am extremely saddened to be treated this poorly! Not a loyal customer any more!!! read more

Can no longer recommend. Used to trust them with servicing of my car, but no longer. Lately, high pressure in service to repair or replace. Rude service reps and long waits for service--especially if you do not approve their "needed" repairs or additional services. I don't do many reviews but after my experience at this dealership and 3 days to cool off i though I should write one. First off I have purchased 3 cars from here in the last 6 years. After my visit last week with my son to trade in a car that has all changed. I don't want to drag this on so I will cut to the chase. The sales consultant was very nice and worked with us on a pre-owned car. After they did a test drive and came back with offer on my sons car they offered almost 4000 dollars below fair value trade in using Black Book which is on Toyota's web site. We both told the salesman the offer for our car was a bit low. So the poor salesman went back to his boss. after hearing loud voices coming from the Bull pit out front my son was offered 500 dollars more and again we said to low. The sales boss or manager then stormed into the salesman's office and completely insulted us by telling is to be quite and let him explain. He wanted to know where we got the information for my sons car and my son told him Kelly Blue book, NADA and the one on the Toyota site Black book. He then told us we don't go by any of that and we use our own data. my son was even willing to go to the lowest fair value listed price on Black Book, The sales boss didn't even care or consider what options were on my sons trade in and they even test drove it. Both of us felt so intimidated and disgusted we just wanted to leave. I was a valued customer and I still like the Toyota product, but there are many other dealers I can make a purchase from in the near future. My advise to this Toyota dealer..... send that pre owned pit boss to school on how to treat customers and tell him to check Toyota's web site if he wants to learn anything about Fair Market value as listed on the front page of the Toyota web page. read more

I feel that I have been lied to twice by this service department. (1) They gave me coupons for five free oil changes when I purchased a new car from them. When my wife took the Camry to them with 3,500 miles on it and presented the coupon, the service person tried to sell her additional maintenance service (at 3,500 miles!). She was wise enough to refuse it. They did the free oil change so quickly that she does not feel that they had time to do it. She suspects that they just drove it around the building and said it was ready because they had it ready before she had time to sit down in the waiting room! (2) When I took an older Camry to them they called me and told me that the car had a cracked motor mount that needed to be replaced. I told them to put the old motor mount in my trunk. I could not find a crack in the motor mount, and took it to two other repair shops that could not find a crack in it either. I feel that these people are very dishonest. read more

Ended up finding out that not only did Cherokee County Toyota break my radio unit, backup camera, and potentially my airbags when performing a recall for my dash issued by Toyota, but they also broke one of the finishing pieces that connects my radio unit to the dash. It was in a place that I couldn't really see. I found out about this damage as I received a call from the parts department of the dealership this morning stating that there was order for a new finishing piece for my instrument panel that they were unable to fill because the general manager has flagged me as a customer not to do business with. So to clarify, they break my radio unit, backup camera, potentially the airbags (according to the service manager Todd), and one of the finishing pieces on my instrumental panel and when I call them out on it, the GM flags me as a customer NOT to do business with for all employees to see. Found out the owners names are Mike and Chuck Perrin. Any help getting in touch with them would be great. read more
