I recently purchased a used Nissan Frontier from Chevrolet of Canton. I had been looking for this specific configuration of the Frontier, and they had exactly what I needed. Russell, the salesperson, was the only salesperson I have ever dealt with in six months of looking for this Frontier who was straightforward from the "get-go." I was not trading in a vehicle and did not need financing. When I emailed them for an out-of-the-door price, Russell quickly responded with a figure. So many dealerships would not do that; they want you to come in, and they want you to consider this or that. They never give you anything in writing. The price was a little higher than I thought best, so I told Russell what I needed it to be to make the purchase. Their original price was not far from my offer, as it was already priced very competitively. Anyway, we closed the deal, and the entire process was amazingly a pleasure. The finance manager who handled our paperwork was also terrific! I cannot recommend this dealership enough. Set up an appointment for my new Silverado, there is a loud vibration under the truck bed near the exhaust and something is loose in the back seat. Took a video of the so rep could hear the exhaust sound, guy was in a bad mood. His response was nothing abnormal there, probably not worth tech looking at it. So I brought him out to the bay where the truck was sitting and started it up. His response was that's not normal. The issue is he was a complete jerk and attitude was off the chart. Asked to speak with the manager, wasn't much better basically telling me nothing wrong with the truck. At this point I made the decision that no way I would want these folks ever touching my vehicle. Drove to a different service center, they found that the spare tire heat shield was rubbing against the exhaust. Brand new vehicle, and I will not be taking to this place for and service work in the future. I brought my vehicle in for a 30,000 miles service; oil & filter change and tire rotation. After waiting 3 hours and being told it would be a 2 hour wait, I asked how much longer, the service guy went to check and came back about 20min later to tell me that my car was going in next and I finally got my vehicle back about about another 45 minutes later. I ran errands for the rest of the day and put about 60 miles on it. When I was just about home my check engine light came on. It also smelled like exhaust or engine smells this whole time and I did call and leave a voice mail for service about this smell at 2pm with no return call. I popped the hood to find the oil cap was never replaced. Alex got in touch with me the next day and made it right but I will not be bringing my vehicle back there for future service. Not only that but while I was waiting I was talking with another customer who was bringing her vehicle back after her oil change last week because it was leaking from the oil filter not installed correctly. And the service guy Derrick was not the most personable and it felt like he was trying to get me to leave in the beginning, I would have but that was my only day off that week, I was already there and needed my vehicle serviced as I am taking a trip next week. I have already spread the word of this encounter and have been referred by many people of another place to go for future needs. read more

Stay away from the service department. They destroyed my car. Took my 2019 Suburban in for it's 60k maintenance on 1/31 because I am well aware my powertrain warranty is over so I should probably keep it well maintained to avoid having issues. After I got my vehicle back, it drove fine on the way home, about a 15 minute drive. The following weekend I drove the car to Augusta after it had only been sitting in my driveway for about a week and a half, ran to the grocery store with it a couple times which is only a 5 min drive down the street. Halfway during my trip to Augusta I noticed a horrible squealing, like a belt issue while I was driving about 70 mph on the interstate. Not normal, after I just had a major service done. I was going to take it back to Chevy of Canton after I got back home from my Augusta trip, but guess what?! I didn't even make it back. 45 mins into the drive while I was on my way home I got an overheat notification which then led me to get my car towed to a Chevy dealership who then told me that my water pump locked up due to belt failure. Hmm.. if I had an issue with my belt shouldn't have Chevrolet of Canton notify me that I needed it replaced? Anywho, I dropped more money on getting the water pump and belt replaced. Fast forward to the beginning of April, my transmission started skipping. I went and took it to another Chevy dealership who then told me I had UNDER TWO QUARTS of transmission fluid and no visible leaks. I paid for another transmission service at that other Chevy dealership who then told me that there may be internal damage being that I drove around this whole time with barely any transmission fluid. Everything checked out fine, no codes, they released the car back to me. After driving it around for another week, it started skipping even worse. It is now currently back at the other Chevy dealer who previously serviced my transmission and said I would need to get a brand new transmission. And I'm over here like WTF?! I paid $1700 for preventative maintenance to only have to drop MORE money on getting repairs? Everything that the service department at Chevrolet of Canton touched has issues now. I'm out of pocket thousands of dollars and my Suburban is not drivable.Transmissions are on national back order and it could take MONTHS for all the parts to come in. Not to mention that it will cost me about $5700 plus tax to get it done. I've filed complaints with GM and they can't really do much for me. Oh yeah, not to mention. They didn't even report any of the maintenance I got done there. Not a single oil change, not even the 60k. So now I don't have proof that my vehicle is well maintained. I never skip oil changes and tire rotations, I had them do my front brakes and an alignment as well. Luckily I saved all my RO tickets from their service department which apparently are really vague. Oh and another thing. They touched everything under the hood and DID NOT test drive it. The mileage in and out are the same. My advice, take it to a different Chevy dealership if you choose to get maintenance done by a Chevy shop. read more

Mr. Smith was efficient and immediately addressed and corrected the situation. He went out of his way to help us and make things as easy as possible. I was happy and impressed to say the least. When you think about buying a new car don't just consider the sales department. Think about what kind of service you want to receive when it's time for repairs and maintenance. First let me start off by saying that I called before arriving. I went to the parts department first to purchase the items needed, the person working seemed put out that he had to take my money. I was having a key and key fob programmed. I was told it Would take around 45 min. I was here for almost two hours. It is hard to justify this and when you ask about how much longer you are told that we told you it would take time to get this done. Not the best experience by any means. I know customer service is not high on the priority list but I will say that I will simply drive to a different dealership from now on. read more

DO NOT do business with Chevrolet of Canton! We just bought a truck from them and noticed the tires sounded funny during the test drive. The salesman said they were fine, they were just new and the tread needed to ware in. But said he will make sure the truck is inspected before we sign. The tires were signed off on as "excellent" on our paperwork. We signed and took the truck home. The next day the tires were still not feeling right so we took it to our Machanic. He said that they were all torn on the insides and needed an alignment. We brought it back to Chevy of Canton. Their service manager looked at the tuck and agreed that we needed all new tires. We spoke with our salesman and the manager. They kept giving us a hard time and arguing with us that if they were to put new tires on then they should have charged us more for the truck. They said all they can do is replace two of the tires. We said we wanted all four done and the manager said oh well, I can't do that. We then explained that our family (who referred us) has spent over $300,000 in the last two years there on work trucks and if they didn't want to replace all four tires then our family explained to us that they will not bring their business there anymore. We purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer with 72,000 miles from Chevrolet of Canton on Wednesday 11/24/2021. Our salesman Robbie was very pleasant and worked very well with us. Unfortunately, Wednesday night when we left with our new vehicle we noticed that the front end shook when driving (we test drove the vehicle before purchasing but the shaking only happens when driving after 10-15 minutes). They were closed by the time we got home and we're closed the following day due to thanksgiving. Friday morning we drove the vehicle to Buford where the shaking became worse the longer we drove. We ended up taking the vehicle back to the dealership Friday afternoon for it to be looked over. The service manager called us later that evening stating that there may be something wrong with the transmission and that he preferred we took it to Ford to have looked over as he didn't feel comfortable that his team could take care of the issue. The next morning we went back to the dealership to pick up our vehicle but the Sales Manager Shane Brand wanted to go on a test drive before we left so he could access the issue. When leaving the dealership Shane made a left turn on a red light (I am 5 months pregnant) putting my husband and I in an uneasy state. He then proceeded to drive down highway 5 waiting for the car to start shaking. Once the vehicle started shaking Shane the Sales Manager of Chevrolet of Canton stated that it was fine and was nothing to worry about. When we arrived back to the dealership we expressed our concerns about it being the transmission (as his service manager stated the night before). Shane stated that because it didn't throw any codes and his service department was so backed up to not bring it back to them until the check engine light came on!!!!!. My husband and I immediately left taking it to the Shottenkirk Ford of Jasper where the service manager rode in the vehicle with us until the problem was persistent and he could pin point what it was. After we test drove the vehicle and told us what it was I called Shane and told him what the issues was. Shane advised us to bring it back to Chevrolet of Canton to where his service department can fix the issue (that he stated was nothing). Unfortunately for Shane and his company he has caused us to not trust this dealership with our vehicle (that was only 3 days new to us). We tried to talk to Shane about getting a newer more expensive vehicle that we could depend on a soon to be parents but Shane was playing dirty and stated he would be willing to TRADE our 3 day old vehicle in but we would be upside down because we just bought the vehicle. We took the vehicle and had the tires rotated and balanced but the issue is still there and getting worse. I guess we should just wait until an axle breaks or the shaking destroys the vehicle before taking it in. But even if the axle breaks that won't turn on the check engine light. Thanks to Shane at Chevrolet of Canton we are stuck in a vehicle that is giving us issues until it completely breaks down. Please reconsider coming to this dealership as the man "in charge" is dishonest, rude, and will make you feel incompetent. read more

Don't ask for russel. He's the top salesmen for a reason. He lies in order to get your business. Worked up a deal on a truck. I asked if he could throw in the spare key. He said yes, I would pay company cost of around $25. I stated very specifically "this includes cutting and programming yes" and he confidently said yes. As we were getting it ordered I asked AGAIN. "You promise I'm not paying for the cutting and programming" he replies "nah brother. $25". Well weeks later I go pick it up and they try to charge me $130. I call russel over and explain to both of them what russel had promised. They came back to me and gave me around $30 off. Whatever, I blow things off. Then He tells me if I know anyone that is interested in a car to refer them to him as I would get $100 referral gift. Brought my girlfriend in months later. Purchased a car. Told me on the way out he would send that $100 visa in the mail... never got it. Texted him a few times checking up and No responses. Beware, He makes stereotypical car salesmen promises that he can't actually honor. read more
