They even had chalk out for the kids to draw with, as well as a giant Jenga set for them to play. It's rare to see that level of care and community spirit, and it made such a positive impression. The main park contains ball fields, an aquatics complex, football field, inline hockey rink, concessions stand, basketball court, and open areas. It also includes a Braille trail for sight impaired visitors. The Day Camp is separate from the main park and about a 1/2-mile northwest of the main entrance along Droste Road. It includes tennis courts, ball fields, sand volleyball court, and soccer field. Both areas have reservable picnic shelters, convenient restrooms, and playgrounds. A paved trail connects the two sections to adjoining neighborhoods. It's a popular spot all year round, but especially in summer. Picnic shelter reservations fill early in the year for holidays.
