I've never written a Yelp review nor had any desire to, but I have to warn people about this place! I'm in my 20s and routinely see the dentist, but after moving, I looked for a new dentist and I wish I had seen this review. My tooth isn't the same nearly two years after a routine filling by Dr. Rena Mollner. She talked throughout the entire procedure, even pausing what she was doing to continue her conversation. As a result I've had nerve pain in my tooth and I'm unable to eat normally with it. Dr. Nate Mollner attempted to pacify me in a follow up visit by telling me this is normal when a filling happens and it happened to him when his Dad did his filling as a kid, since a filling is only a stepping stone before you get more procedures! If this line of reasoning sounds like something you want from your dentist, this is your spot, sounds like it runs in the family. God knows what they're paying to get positive reviews, but I'm sure it's covered by the $300 plastic retainer they sell you. Don't go here! read more

The only positive about this office is the dentist. He's fantastic, and super friendly but I have honestly had such horrible experiences with the office staff. I never publish poor reviews, and I am not one to be rude or easily get angry...but I have had several negative experiences with the office staff and they alone have made me not want to return. They have called me within the 48 hour period to tell me things like my new insurance isn't actually covered, only accepted...but then tell me that I now owe them $75 because I can't afford to risk a full appointment without my insurance covering it. These types of scenarios happen a lot with them, almost like they purposely want me to pay a late fee. And to make it worse, when I do get frustrated or even if I just ask questions, they get rude and angry with me. I have had the worst customer service experiences I've ever had here, which for me - is make or break when dealing with a lot of money and insurance. read more

Horrible. They scheduled an appointment for me automatically. Then they charged me a missed appointment fee when I missed it because I changed my phone number. Seems ridiculous when I never confirmed the appointment. 6 months in advance?! No one will remember that and then they try to bill you for not remembering something 6 months later. Ben Mollner is a horrible human being and dentist, in my humble opinion. My wife had a filling done by him and was experiencing occasional pain in that tooth. After about 8 months and 3-4 follow up appointments where he attempted, or should I say failed, to fix the issue we switched Dentists and our new dentist was able to stop the pain in a single visit. I left a bad review for the poor work and Ben had the audacity to email me playing the victim card about "how negative or bad reviews can impact family businesses!". I've seen this guy driving his 80k Escalade around town and not even a year after trying to manipulate me into taking down my review they announced they were expanding their office because business was booming. Obviously this office wasn't hurting for business nearly as bad as he wanted me to believe or as bad as my wife's tooth was hurting for months after his botched attempt at filling a cavity. Absolute joke of a practice being run by a guy more concerned with crying crocodile tears and manipulating people into taking down honest reviews than providing quality care. Stay away. read more

Oh Mollner Dentistry. We've been in a committed, one-sided relationship for over seven years now, and I've finally found the courage to say: It's not me, it's 1000% you. Let's start with the single bright spot in this toothache of a practice: the dental hygienist. She is genuinely lovely, gentle, and gives me fleeting hope that maybe--just maybe--this visit won't end in sheer frustration. But then, like clockwork, in swoops Dr. Nate "Who Are You Again?" Mollner, the man, the myth, the master of pretending we've never met. I could have a neon sign on my forehead that says "You've bonded this front tooth THREE TIMES, NATE," and he'd still squint at his iPad and go, "Oh, looks like we need to do some bonding here. Just let us know when." YES. WE. KNOW. You've done it. MULTIPLE TIMES. The tooth is practically a team project at this point. But he always acts like this is brand new information, and when I remind him (as I always do), he hits me with a "That's right," like he's been on a dramatic Netflix series called Gaslight My Smile. And oh, the night guard hustle. Every. Single. Visit. "Do you grind your teeth?" No. "Do you clench your jaw?" Still no. "Well, just in case, we should get you a $500 hunk of plastic." I'm convinced I could walk in holding a certificate signed by God Himself confirming I don't grind my teeth and he'd still be like, "Yeah, but just to be safe..." Let's not forget yesterday's encore: I tell him my bottom permanent retainer broke, but reassured him that I still have clear retainers. He hits me with a baffling, "Did you have Invisalign with us?" Sir. Please. I got braces in the early 2000s, during the MySpace era. You've never done ortho on me. Then he acts like I definitely told him this seven years ago, even though it never came up. Bold move, Doc. Bold move. Then he tried to upsell me on removing my retainer (that I'm fine with), and replacing it with a "better" one--translation: a billable one. It's not dental care, it's Shark Tank: Mouth Edition. I'm officially done. After years of feeling like a walking wallet with teeth, I've reached my limit. This place is a masterclass in scripted friendliness, forgetfulness, and over-recommendations. Dr. Nate may be a dentist, but his true calling is clearly sales. If you want a good cleaning and a reminder of what emotional neglect feels like, this is your place. Otherwise? Run--don't walk--to literally anywhere else. read more

This office is the best! I had only been to one dentist my whole life, but decided to find one that was in network for my new insurance. I was pretty nervous about going to a new place, but the moment I walked in, they already knew who I was and made the check in process easy. My hygienist Alyssa was ready within a couple minutes and was super friendly and made it a comfortable experience. The equipment here feels very modern and top of the line. Dr. Ben is also great and you can tell he really makes an effort to get to know his patients. When I was done, the front desk had already handled the insurance stuff and I was able to just walk out. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!! I found them via my dental insurance website, which listed them as in-network. When I called to make the appointment I verified them being in-network. My claim was denied, and adjusted for them being out of network. 7 months after my service, I received a bill for the difference between in-network and out-of-network. I was never told by Mollner Dentistry they are out of network. At the time of receiving the bill (7 months after service), they are still listed on my insurance's website as being in-network. I called and asked if they can do anything and they said no. They lied and told me there is nothing they can do to adjust the price after an insurance company has accepted the claim, and if they get caught there is a 60,000 fine. My insurance company said this is not true, and they have the ability to adjust the price. read more

I had severe teeth damage due to an injury I suffered where I broke my jaw and a bunch of my teeth. I have been seeing Dr. Rena Mollner during this time and she is the nicest person thru all of this. I have had to have multiple crowns, teeth realignment (with invisalign), various cleanings and was referred to an oral surgeon and endodontist for root canal procedures. Every time I have had to have a procedure done I have experienced very little to no pain and they are able to resolve all of the problems I have had. The dental assistants are also very kind and I've had good cleanings from all of them - they are very knowledgable about my teeth and the damage they suffered. Dr. Rena Mollner has provided me with the best options for ensuring my teeth are as healthy as possible for the amount of damage they suffered. She has ensured I am not doing procedures that are unnecessary. I am very thankful to this dentist office for the help they have provided to me over the past few years. It has been an emotional journey. I am finally able to eat without pain and I am able to smile and feel confident in myself once again. My teeth look so good. read more

Looking at other reviews, this seems common so it is disappointing that while the dental care may be ok, they support their front desk belittling and lying to their patients. Staffing may be challenging, but they will surely continue to drive away business with their ineffectual operations and proclivity towards lying and being rude to cover up their own mistakes; bordering on deceptive practices. I would go check out this place's reviews in the last year. It seems like they had some major decline in customer service, quality of care, and over prescription of work that isn't needed. I've been here twice and both times they casually recommend that I need cavities filled, and go right in there. They've excavated way more of my tooth than necessary and have left there with sore teeth that don't get better in the course of a few weeks, and lop-sided molars from their shotty work. I'm always leery of dental offices since they seem to arbitrarily charge various costs. Also dental appointments are not what most people look forward too. This office has a late 90's feel and reception area is kind of too dark but that's just me. I don't recall any WiFi too since but maybe that's just the modern patient in me. Just cause I like to read or watch videos on my devices when waiting for an appointment. Today the hygienist I had was nice and professional and did a great job cleaning me up. We had fun chatting about our vacations. Anyway I guess today I had to see another dentist because my normal dentist wasn't in. I would say that he was ok but then again I was here just for a quick check up. The dentist I saw did comment on my appearance which I thought was odd. I'm not here to dress up to get my dental work done especially on my day off work. So I'm updating my review since I did get a personal message explaining "Benjamin's" side of his story. I'm glad he did reach out to me to explain his side of the story. In any case, next time I'll stick with the other dentist here. I remember he was nice and professional. Mollner Dentistry - General Dentistry Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I started going to Mollner shortly after I moved to Denver in 2012. I have since switched dentists and will never go back to them. My first few visits Dr. Mollner told me that I had several cavities and needed some childhood fillings replaced. I was surprised because I had seen my hometown dentist not long before and everything was fine but agreed to the work although none of the teeth he pointed out ever bothered me. He also advised me to replace a large old metal filling in a back molar with a crown instead which I also had done. Two times in a year's span at cleanings I told him that I was having some pain around the gum of a different crown and noticed it was inflamed off and on. Both times he took a quick look at it and told me they would 'watch it' and to brush around it better. 6 months later I went in for my next cleaning and the crown fell off as soon as they started cleaning that tooth. I was told that the tooth had fractured under the crown, become infected and needed to be pulled and replaced with an implant right away. I was given a referral to a place in Cherry Creek that wasn't even covered by my insurance and they quoted me over $3,500 for all the work. To say I was upset is an understatement. I actually left the Mollner office that day crying. I spent a lot of money on that tooth between the root canal and the crown only to have the tooth need to be pulled after a few years when I was given the brush off by Dr. Mollner until it was too late to save it. It seems to me that the Mollner dentists are too busy rushing around from patient to patient to really spend time with their clients and address real concerns. Every time I did need to talk to a dentist, not the dental assistants (who are great, by the way) I was given only a few minutes to discuss things before they rushed me out the door to make room for the next person. After this I went to two other dentists for a second opinion. They both told me that the tooth under the crown had obviously been infected for a while because I was suffering some bone loss due to it and the tooth was rather decayed, and that my previous dentist should have noticed/ addressed it long before it got to the point that it was. The new dentist I chose pulled the tooth and did a bone implant which was just so much fun. He also told me that the crown done by Mollner was very messily placed and not cleaned up properly which caused discomfort when flossing. The icing on the cake, and the reason I finally wrote this review, is that the messy molar crown that Mollner placed chipped after only 2 years. My dentist told me that he did not want to speak ill of another dentist's work but that the material chosen for a molar crown (porcelain) would not have been his first choice considering the location in the mouth and the fact that I grind my teeth/clench my jaw. Dr. Mollner was well aware of my clenching/grinding issues because he recommended and made me a mouth guard. So I had to get that crown replaced and pay the entire cost out of pocket because the insurance company will not cover more than 1 crown per tooth every 5 years. Hooray for spending ANOTHER $1,000 on dental work! So thanks, Mollner Dentistry, for costing me thousands of dollars, the pain of having a tooth pulled, the expense and pain of an implant, and the expense of a new crown because the one you put on was not a good material choice and failed. I also really appreciate all the time I needed off work for the multiple appointments I had at my new dentist fixing your shoddy work. Here's a tip, instead of herding your patients in and out like cattle maybe slow down a little and actually do your job as a dentist and listen to your patients so no one else has to deal with what I have due to your bad practices. read more

A piece of my tooth broke off on Wednesday evening. Terrible! Incredible office staff got me in at 9 am on Thursday morning. Dr. Glick explained the procedure well and fixed my tooth - actually molded a tooth part for me on site, ready that day! Outstanding work, Dr. Glick. This business worked with me to set up a payment plan and enrolled me in insurance to save ME money. Jenny, you are the best! Wonderful experience all around considering breaking teeth is no fun and I'm scared of the dentist. OH, and they play dope music :) read more

Customer service is not a priority. After my wife and I have been going here for many years, we're now taking our business elsewhere due to "policy over loyalty." We've never canceled an appointment before, but 6 mos ago there was a scheduling mixup and I was scheduled for a cleaning on a Monday (which I never do because of my work schedule), and I missed the appointment as well as reminder call, so I rescheduled. After my cleaning today they made me pay a $50 cancellation fee - which the receptionist would not even consider waiving, even for a loyal customer. I get why they charge this fee, but surely they can either accept some of the blame or make an exception for a loyal customer that has never canceled. Nope. She couldn't have cared less if I take my family's business elsewhere, and made that very clear. I am a business owner (and customer experience consultant) and if I were Dr. Nate I would absolutely adjust this policy to make some exceptions, or at least train the front desk to act like they care if a customer decides to take business elsewhere. All over a measly $50. Sorry Mollner Dentistry team, but we're looking for another place to take our family's business. read more

I recently decide to switch dentists to take advantage of dental insurance with my Senior Advantage Insurance plan. I am happy to say that my procedures went smoothly. The front office was great and very support. Dr. Nat and his staff were excellent and metaphorically taking my hand and walking me through the necessary procedures. From the warm greeting I receive when I walk in the door from the ladies at the front desk (especially Jenny) to the excellent cleaning I get from all of the dental hygienists (especially Mel) to the thorough exam and answers I get from all of the dentists (especially Dr. Ben) to the upfront and honest pricing I get from accounting (especially Linda), going there is a great experience all around. Plus, they are always on time - which I really appreciate from a doctor's office. I used to be Dr. Nate's patient. Today I had an appointment at 1pm. The roads don't look great and it is not supposed to stop snowing, so I called to cancel. Their very rude response was "sure, it will be over $100 cancelation fee because it is less than 24 hours notice", and I said "even with the roads the way they are"? To which they answered, "we all got here, we are not closed, the roads were fine, so yes, there will be a fee". After 6 years being a patient there I could not believe this. Just because the roads were clear at 7 am it doesnt mean it will be at noon if it is not supposed to stop snowing. I'm never coming back. read more

I HATE the dentist and have gone to the same dentist office my entire life until recently. My insurance changed and with that I had to find a new Dentist. After researching online and finding Mollner took many different types of insurance AND had great reviews, I booked an appointment. I have now been here for a cleaning appointment and for a second appointment for fillings. Both times I have left extremely happy. The space is super nice and edgy. Not your typical dental office. They have nice art and some of the chairs have lovely views. They were even playing good music (Gramatik- Nice!) Everyone that works here is extremely nice.The women at the front desk are very welcoming and helpful when it comes to billing and insurance needs. Everyone goes above and beyond to make the patient feel comfortable and relaxed. My Dentist was pretty easy on the eyes as well... But what really stood out to me is how they explain what they are doing and what they are finding throughout the appointment. You aren't just laying there, drooling on yourself, wondering what is going on and when it will be over. They even walk you through your xrays on a big screen in front of your chair to show you exactly what they are looking for and seeing, that way you understand and can see for yourself. I can practically find my own cavities now! ;) Ultimately, if you are looking for a place that will make you smile, this is it. I still don't look forward to coming to the dentist, but Mollner certainly does their best to make it a bit more enjoyable. Mollner Dentistry dropped my insurance at the beginning of the year with no warning. Would have been nice to know BEFORE I signed up for my benefits. Furthermore, they then tried to sell me their own plan. While they were at it they back-billed me for services completed that were always covered by insurance when I went there before. I am excited as one can be about finding an amazing dental practice to go to! I went off a recommendation from a dentist that used to work/live here. Everything about this practice is great. The staff were polite, answered questions, prepared quotes and I felt very comfortable and confident with the care I was getting. Alyssa gave me the best cleaning I've ever had! I felt at ease but could tell she wasn't afraid to really clean out what needed to be. Dr. Ben was thorough and I didn't feel pressured about any of the options he gave me regarding future needs. They set me up for a consultation with another doc in the office so that I can find out if TMJ Botox will be a good option for me. My first experience here was good even though I had to wait since they were running behind on appointments. My second experience was not as good. They seemed very rushed doing an easy filing and I also sensed that it's always so busy here that you really don't get the attention you expect from your dentist. I came in about 15 minutes late and they said that I would not be able to do my cleaning but did my filing in about 20 minutes. Afterwards I got charged $50 for being late and I'd understand if they did my cleaning but they rescheduled and gave me two available times in the next six months which shows to me that they do book a lot of customers and it makes it hard for them to give that time and attention to each patient. I also did not like the explanation I got from the receptionist as she stated their time is more valuable than $50. It made me feel like I was just another number and it bothered me even more that they didn't even do the cleaning since I really don't feel like I wasted their time considering how fast I was shuffled in and out. They also didn't even take the time just to look at any of my other teeth while I was there. If you're looking for a quick fix and they happen to have availability this place is fine but after today I have decided I'm going to look for a place that values each patient more. I do believe it's not really the fault of anyone in particular but a product of their location. It's convenience is what people go for but it pays the price in quality. read more

Disappointing service. I've gone to Mollner dentistry for years now and via a mistake made when fixing a permanent retainer, my teeth started shifting. Their fix: give me new retainers to lock my teeth in place so they don't shift more. When I asked if they would be able to help return my smile to the way it was they were unwilling. So here I am with teeth that look worse as a result of going to the dentist. The redeeming quality that earns them some credit: the staff at the front desk. Always such a pleasure to go in there and chat with them. I just wish they would have offered to help me return my smile to the way it was before they made a mistake. read more

I had been going to Mollner for 2 years (4 cleanings). Overall, this feels like a dentist office for Millennials run by Millennials (read into that what you will). The good: Friendly staff, limited time in the waiting area, hygienists are great at providing cleaning/flossing tips, great location close to work downtown, cool office vibe. The bad: Hygienists seem in a hurry and don't take care while cleaning teeth, Dr. Mollner never once touched my teeth with any instruments while examining, and the final straw for me - every appointment they tried to sell me on the same service that I didn't think was necessary. Come to learn from my new dentist that I was correct and that the one area that I allowed it to be done, wasn't done very well and could result in problems in the future. read more

I loved this dentist office but when it came to clearing up a problem they created the ladies in the front were rude and unhelpful. They canceled an appointment on me then would not get me in until many months later. Luckily I found a new dentist that was able to see and helped with the infection I had began to have when they canceled me because of a little snow. Thank goodness the new doctor is helpful and helped with saving more teeth because of the infection getting worse. They were great dentists but the front ladies have zero tactful and helpfulness. I have a lot of dental problems, so I very much appreciate the skill and efforts of both Dr. Rena and Dr. Ben. I've been through multiple fillings, crowns, extractions, cleanings, and root canals here, always with good results. The clinic is beautiful, well-appointed, and many of the procedure rooms have a view of the Rockies. Most importantly, they've done a great job with my teeth. I've moved around quite a bit, so I can say that I find their prices to be comparable to other dentists I've been to in Appalachia and the mid-west. As with any dentist, see what your insurance covers, and go from there. The staff at Mollner is fantastic at getting you quotes in advance. A really nice perk is that they can make their own crowns here so they will give you a small gift card for the coffee shop downstairs while they make it for you - no return trip necessary. As someone with crappy teeth and a busy schedule, this is something I appreciate. When I lived in Cap Hill, the clinic was very convenient for me. Now I live in the mountains in Gilpin county and it's not at all convenient, but Mollner is still my clinic. It's simply worth it. read more

I hate going to the dentist, and I avoided it a lot in the past but I would like to not wear dentures in forty years so i have no choice. I checked reviews for local dentists when i had to establish one in Denver, and Mollner was highly rated and I liked their website. Everything was easy to use, i could do the paperwork online and scheduling was easy (but they fill up fast so you have to wait to get in.) The staff is excellent, including front desk, hygienists and the actual dentist. My first day, the meter on Lincoln ate my credit card and during my appointment they (without me asking) looked up for who to call to get someone to help me and offered to try to find some things to get it out. Most of all, I feel absolutely no pressure to pay for more services or do cosmetic options here, which is important to me. They also always ask if I have questions in case I am interested in one of those things. They are not judgmental and I am very happy to be a patient in these practices. I am happy to leave such a great review for such a good practice. read more

First impression: Found out upon arrival that my appointment had been canceled without notification. Apparently their policy is for you to call to confirm your appointment, but they do not say that at all in the reminder email or let you know that they canceled the appointment. The receptionist acted as if I should know their policy for confirming visits when this is my first visit. I'm not impressed so far. Second impression: They were able to work me in, and Dr. Mollner was very professional and said he would address the canceling of my appointment without notification.
